How depressed does Nolan look?
-
For me, i would give it to Steven Tayor. He might not be the ideal captain at the moment but at least he gives a shit and gives 100% on the pitch.
-
RIP to a true legend. Not much more i can say.
-
Who gives a shit, he's not our player anymore. I couldn't give a fuck if he goes on the be top goalscorer or breaks his leg in his first game.

Well Llambias is a lying cunt then and Orville being away shouldn't make any difference in selling the club. I'm sure someone else will be there to negotiate. Quote from Ronnie. Newcastle United receive bids of £100m for club Jul 6 2009 by Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle DEREK LLAMBIAS has revealed that “more than two bids at £100m” have been received for crisis club Newcastle United. The Toon managing director was spotted showing a Malaysian consortium around St James’s Park and the United training HQ last Thursday. But he remained tight-tipped on the identity of the bidders, with Newcastle and the clutch of interested parties wary of the non-disclosure agreements they signed since the club went up for sale. With the first-team squad now in Dublin at a boot camp, the club contacted the Chronicle today to say that the sale was still “ongoing”, with investment bankers Seymour Pierce in charge of finding a new owner for the Magpies. The Malaysians were mooted to have discussed a bid in excess of £80m in addition to tackling the overdraft at United, thought to be £34m. But Llambias has insisted that the price was never going to be less than £100m. And he told the Chronicle today: “There have been more than two bids at £100m. “At the moment we are in the hands of lawyers and it is all ongoing. “We are giving interested parties all the help that they need.”

This is a fucking joke. People have the nerve to talk about the corruption in other countries, yet this just goes to show that in this country if you have money and celebrity status (with the media on your side of course), you can get away with just about anything. As it was said before, whilst i'm not in anyway supporting Barton, if this had been him instead of Gerrard the outcome and media reaction would have been different. Complete double standards.

AAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!

Just a quick and simple poll on how many of us actually believe this twat. I for one voted no.
-
I don't see what the hold up is Llambais (prick) said "at least 2 bids of 100m". So what's the fucking hold up?!!?? Accept one of them and fuck off!!!! The bottom line is, you can't believe a word any of these slimy bastards say. The sooner these parasites are out of the club the better. Thank you. Rant over.
-
Llambias said no such thing. Aye i've just realized that myself, but it was a "club source" that said it or someone like that. The point being, that we can't trust a word that any of these people say. And i can see Ashley fucking this up royally. On a different note, i didn't think you'd be sticking up for Llambais.
-
I really don't get this at all. Any new owners will obviously know that this delay is going to affect their future revenue ie. season ticket sales, possible team purchases (including a manager), club merchandise even league placement (because of the shit state of our squad). Ashley, if he is pissing around, will end up putting peoples noses out of joint and they will just walk away. And therefore lose even more money. IF Llambais was to be believed (ha ha yeh right) then the first club to match the pricetag would get the club. And yet according to said dickhead, they have received "at least 2" offers that meet their price. Whats the hold up? I know Harris has to look over this and that, but as i said before he's had nearly a month to check the various people involved. So you would think this should be a relatively quick process. But yet for some reason we are getting now, from the Ronnie, that it's still going at a snails pace. AAAARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

Update from the Ronnie. takeover enquiry Jul 9 2009 by Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle AUSTRIAN-based online gaming company Bwin are understood to have made enquiries about the purchase of Newcastle United. The public limited company, who are also major sponsors of La Liga giants Real Madrid, are spearheaded by gaming tycoons Manfred Bodner and Norbert Teufelberger. Bwin also have links globally throughout the world of sport, with Serie A side AC Milan also in their stable. The company, who were formed in 1999, are believed to be putting together a package to meet Newcastle owner Mike Ashley’s £100m asking price. The Chronicle understands that Bwin were at one stage earmarked by the current regime as sponsors of the Magpies next season when their deal with Northern Rock runs out. Managing director Derek Llambias has solid links within the gaming industry due to his involvement with swanky London casino 50 St James in the capital and is understood to have been in contact with Bwin. However, it is no surprise to see Bwin linked with a bid to the purchase of United, with their brand making huge strides in recent years. Not only have they secured major sponsorship deals with Real and Milan, but they also sponsor the Portuguese League. One of the bi-products of Bwin, PokerRoom.tv is advertised on US TV networks including ABC. A Bwin official told the Chronicle: "As a rule we do not comment on rumour or speculation." However, a source close to the company said: "It’s no surprise that Manfred or Norbert have been linked with this. "If they were spotted in Newcastle it’s not a big deal, because they could be there one day and on the other side of the world the next. "Their links to global sport are there for all to see." Llambias is expected to steer clear of the Magpies’ first friendly of the summer on Saturday as he focuses on the sale of the club. Toon tycoon Mike Ashley is also not expected to be present in Dublin, where the black-and- whites will be represented at boardroom level by football secretary Lee Charnley. As well as interest from Bwin, United are understood to be working with the Malaysian consortium who visited Tyneside for a second time this week. Ashley’s PR man told the Chronicle today: "It has been well documented that bids of £100m have gone in and that we are still in the hands of lawyers. "There continues to be interest in the sale of the club. "And Keith Harris at Seymour Pierce is working very hard to go through the process of selling the club." Fans cruelly had their hopes raised in the last 24 hours after an internet hoax got out of control last night. It was claimed that Hong Kong-based investors were ready to bring in Gianluca Vialli as director of football and Alan Shearer as boss, along with a string of other exciting incentives. However, this has turned out to be a complete wind- up which was first generated in cyberspace on Saturday night. That did not stop some national newspapers falling for the trick although club sources confirmed today that there is no truth in the claims whatsoever.

From tonights Ronnie. Llambias to miss friendly amid talks on takeover Jul 9 2009 by Lee Ryder, Evening Chronicle NEWCASTLE United managing director Derek Llambias is expected to steer clear of the Magpies’ first friendly of the summer as he focuses on the sale of the club. Toon tycoon Mike Ashley is also not expected to be present in Dublin, where the black-and-whites will be represented at boardroom level by football secretary Lee Charnley. United are understood to be working with the Malaysian consortium who visited Tyneside for a second time this week. But despite the fact that the start of the Championship season is less than a month away, the pace of the sale is expected to continue at a lethargic rate. Ashley’s PR man told the Chronicle today: “It has been well documented that bids of £100m have gone in and that we are still in the hands of lawyers. “There continues to be interest in the sale of the club. “And Keith Harris at Seymour Pierce is working very hard to go through the process of selling the club.” Fans cruelly had their hopes raised in the last 24 hours after an internet hoax got out of control last night. It was claimed that Hong Kong-based investors were ready to bring in Gianluca Vialli as director of football and Alan Shearer as boss, along with a string of other exciting incentives. However, this has turned out to be a complete wind-up which was first generated in cyberspace on Saturday night. That did not stop some national newspapers falling for the trick although club sources confirmed today that there is no truth in the claims whatsoever. What the fucks taking so long? If the bids match the selling price, surely Harris just has to advise Ashley which one to take. He's had nearly a month to check out the consortiums so he should have a good idea who the best ones will be.
-
I'll wait and see until we're sold and see who Shearer (if he's manager) buys/gets rid of first.
-
As i'm sure it's been said before, we would have been better off getting Orville to sell the club. Harris has sold other clubs before, so why is he so fucking clueless when it comes to ours? All this "by the end of next week... by the end of the month" crap. Either he really is a useless twat, or Ashleys keep moving the goalposts (ironic metaphor).
-
Don't worry about it Michael, you've certainly had the last laugh over Newcastle. The reason you've had stick Micky, is because it's been our money through season tickets, shirt sales, Sky subscription ect. That has paid for you're (around) £110,000 a WEEK pay. While (especially this season) you've strolled around the pitch (when you're on it) as if you couldn't give a fuck. As i said especially this season when all you seemed bothered about was not getting injured (again) so it would not jeopardize you're next move. Prick.

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/football/391177/SHEARER-DOUBLE-SWOOP.html Campbell and Evans to spark Toon revival STILL WAITING - But Alan Shearer has been active behind the scenes while Newcastle's future is slowly sorted out ALAN SHEARER has this week made his first move as Newcastle's manager-in-waiting by lining up a double swoop for strikers Ched Evans and Fraizer Campbell. Shearer is likely to be installed by the end of the week as the search for a new owner at St James' Park nears completion. The former England skipper is favoured by all three groups bidding for control and has begun working behind the scenes to assemble a squad to get straight back into the Premier League. Available The list of 10 names that was distributed throughout Europe for players available for transfer was compiled with his blessing. Key figures Sebastien Bassong, Habib Beye and Steven Taylor were NOT on it, despite concerted efforts to unsettle the trio. And Shearer has upped the ante this week with a double swoop for the strikers who will replace Michael Owen, Mark Viduka and Oba Martins. Campbell's proposed move to Hull has been on hold for three weeks while a row over money has rumbled on with Manchester United. Competition That has given Shearer the chance to ask about the striker, 21. His interest was not discouraged, despite competition from Sunderland boss Steve Bruce. PRESENCE - Wales international Ched Evans could join Newcastle from Man CitySimilarly, he has set the wheels in motion to land Manchester City forward Evans. The 20-year-old struggled for opportunities at Eastlands last season but bagged 10 goals in 20 starts during a loan spell at Norwich and Shearer wants that kind of physical presence in his front line. He believes he could land the pair for less than £10million. However, Shearer's annoyance at the length of time it is taking to sort out the club ownership is rising and he has been forced to ask his targets to wait. Takeover Keith Harris, the man brokering the sale to end Mike Ashley's disastrous two years in charge, was hopeful a takeover was on the brink of conclusion on Thursday. However, problems over the level of the club's overdraft stalled a deal late on Friday evening. To speed up the process, Martins and Fabricio Coloccini are set to be sold this week French giants Lyon have lined up Martins as a direct replacement for Karim Benzema, who moved to Real Madrid for £35m. Bundesliga champions VfL Wolfsburg are also interested. Coloccini, who cost Newcastle a staggering £11m last summer when he arrived from Deportivo la Coruna, is the subject of a £4m bid from Galatasaray. An American consortium, shown around St James' Park and the club's training facilities on Monday remain in pole position to assume control at Newcastle. But a Malaysian group, who were in Toon on Thursday, have matched the £80m asking price.
-
Totally agree with you there. If ever there's a player who seems undecided on whether to sign for us, then just show the manager a dvd of Owen's time up here.
-
Eh, it was them who first mentioned him wasn't it? Aye.
-
From .com. Malaysians in Toon BBC Radio Newcastle reported on Thursday evening that MD Derek Llambias had shown representatives of a Malaysian bidder round the club earlier in the day. It's now come to light that a number of the current first team were introduced to the delegation as they toured the training facilities at Darsley Park. Subsequent claims were made that billionaire businessman Ananda Krishnan was the figure behind the bid, but we don't believe that to be the case. Who knows.
-
Well, was it not more of a case of they were being shown the facilities and the players happened to be there? Hey, you asked me to be more positive! I'm still very positive about this, honestly. I do think that if they wanted "the works" in terms of a tour, then they'd probably find it difficult to avoid all of the players. If they really have done the due diligence, made the bid and liked what they saw on the tour then surely signing that sales and purcahse agreement can't be too far down the line? Yeah, being serious for a moment you'd think they'd only be impressed by a tour around the facilities. They're the only thing we've got that are truly top class and need little or no work. Agreed. Probably trying to sell it at the angle of "everything is in place in terms of an infrastructure"... Aye let's be honest, IF we can shift a few of the big earners on, get a couple of promising younger players in, and IF we can get back up at the first attempt, then the price would be a bargain.
