    De Jong

Dutch manager with more bottle that the whole FA put together.... Pathetic.
  2. Aye like the fact when we went down, a lot of the media couldn't wait to point a lot of the blame at our fans for protesting over Ashley. Typical press, double standards.

    De Jong

The problem in this country is that the FA have got no bollocks. They won't crack down on anything because that would mean cracking down on the so-called "big" clubs as well. The FA won't do this because they are shit scared in case the bigger teams go off and form a "Euro League". Which will never happen as who can afford 14-18 away trips to Europe every season? It just won't work. But as long as the greedy owners of these clubs keep hinting at it the FA will always fall back in line. Just look at Ferguson at Man Utd. The FA instruct ALL managers they have to speak with the media after games, Ferguson says no and Man Utd are allowed to pay his fine. It makes the FA look weak (which they are). The FA is the other problem. A bunch of weak willed suits with no real knowledge of the game. And no direction, no plan. Just sit back at rake in the money from the "richest and best league in the world." Look at the BBC, their pundits criticize the England team, so the FA sells the broadcasting rights to ITV. I know the BBC pundits aren't the best, but to be honest they're not allowed to criticize anyone from the England team to the "big clubs" for fear of retribution from either the FA or the "big clubs."
  4. Cappello is looking for the sack here like. Get out of his cantract early with a nice big payoff.
  5. Wasn't there talk of maybe Lua Lua returning early from his loan. At least that's what he in said in the Ronnie or Journal. Not saying he's the answer mind. Just that it might give Routledge a bit of competition. Especially with Ben Arfa out.
  6. We could do with someone quick with a bit of skill to link the midfield and attack. A role i thought Ben Arfa would perfectly fill..... until yesterday (fucking De Jong ).
  7. Fair enough. The Villa game though we would still have won in my opinion. Forgot about the pen in the Wolves game to be honest.
  8. Man Utd 3-0 To be fair, we were well beaten. No complaints. Aston Villa 6-0 Deserved victory. Wolves 1-1 Unlucky not to get the win. Blackpool 0-2 Not at our best. But made enough chances and but for a goalkeeper who'll never play as well, we should have won. Everton 0-1 Deserved victory. Should've had a blatant pen. Stoke 1-2 Dominated the first half against one of the worst footballing teams we are likely to see at SJP, without creating to many chances. Absolutely clueless in the second half. Man City 2-1 Deserved at least a point, and maybe even more. Definite pen, should've been playing against 10 men, never a pen against us. Oh, and playing against the referee as well. New signing out for 6 months and our centreback out injured. If the old cliche that luck levels itself out over the season is true, then we are due a shitload at some point in the season. So to be honest, the Stoke game aside, i don't think we've done to badly so far. Luck definitely hasn't been on our side as of yet and hopefully, the Man City game with galvanise the team together.
  9. To be fair, Nolan is not good enough to warrent a start. He may be a good influence in the dressing room, but on the pitch he is just to slow. Play him in midfield and we get overrun because he simply can't keep pace with other players. And play him in "the hole" as he has been, and as we've seen the game just passes him by. Not quick enough to get back and help the midfield and not quick enough to support Carroll. We HAVE to play Ben Arfa in Nolans postition. Bring Nolan on with 15mins left, when the rest of the players are tired and at his pace.
  10. Ooooohhhhhh!!!! (Reeves and Mortimer handbags waving smiley thingy).
  11. To be honest, i would love him to stay and become our regular right back. He was quite good at bombing forward when he's played there before. Plus it gives us extra height at set pieces.
  12. Why aren't we in for him? For fucks sake
  13. From Ronnie. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2010/04/22/vuckic-playing-down-talk-of-world-cup-call-up-72703-26294529/ I have to admit as to not seeing much of him (bar the few minutes first team action). To anyone who as see a bit of him, is all the hype surrounding him warranted?
  14. I'm bored, so i've done the bbc predictor thingy... GD Pts 1st. Newcastle 56 100 2nd. West Brom 45 95 3rd. Forest 24 81 4th. Cardiff 23 77 5th. Swansea 12 77 6th. Leicester 7 68 Smogs are in 10th with Peterborough, Palace and Plymouth down.
  15. For fucks sake!! I thought having Barton was bad enough, but if (and i do mean IF) these and various other accusations are true, then it looks like Carroll is trying to beat Bartons whole list of misdemeanours in the first couple of years of his career. I'm sorry but IF this is true he has to go. He's no use to us in jail, which if he keeps going the way he seems to be going, that's where he'll end up. Glassing, slapping lasses, breaking teammates jaw, what a fucking heed the ball. Howay man we can't keep making excuses for this sort of behaviour.
  16. Unfortunately, i don't think its so much that they're too good to go down. It's just the fact that there are others that are worse still. Plus the Portsmouth situation hasn't helped, seeing that there's really only two teams going down (seeing that Portsmouth are by all means and purposes going down).
  17. We get promoted (not wanting to jump the gun, but that's why i put "if" in the title ) but sign players deemed good enough only for back up. I'm not saying it will happen but just for arguments sake due to various factors thats what happens. Would this team (if it stayed virtually injury free (yeah right)) have enough about it to make an impact in the top division? Harper Simpson Taylor Collo Enrique Routledge Guthrie Barton Jonas Nolan Carol You could argue that Smith might be in for Guthrie or Barton, but with the players available i think Houghton will probably go with Nolan off the striker like he does away from home mostly now.
  18. You are right. Please get your address book with list of preferred owners and instruct them to buy the club ASAP. Inform them in no uncertain terms that we will require a transfer war chest of at least £50million plus funds required to hire a top manager. Sorted. I never once said i had all the answers (or any for that matter). And i never once metioned "we need millions spent on transfers" either. In the meantime then we do need transfer funds and answers and only one person is capable of providing either and that's Fat Ashley. Until someone else steps forward it doesn't really matter if he's Billy Liar or the Sultan of Brunei. Your missing the whole point of my post. I'm not expecting a multi billionaire to step out of the woodwork and save us. The point i was making was that Ashleys tactics of making us fans feel like we should be kissing his arse are total rubbish. HE got us into this mess. HE is a proven liar when it comes to statements about the club. I just don't buy anything the guy says, and for some people to suddenly have him as our saving angel is just to much for me to swallow. He will never have the best interests of the club at heart. All he is doing is keeping going until he can maximize the amount of money he will get back when he sells the club (and i'm not saying he won't have to take a hit on his investment but it was his bad decision making that saw the value plummet) to the first person willing to match his asking price. And anyone who believes the crap from Lambiarse about "the club is not for sale" is very naive.
  19. What will he do, just write himself a cheque when he fancies the money back? Considering the famous club insider (who everybody is now taking his word as gospel) said when mentioning the 20m that it was an interest free loan. Loan implies he'll be getting it back one way or another. No it doesnt Loan implies that the club owes him the money. Whether or not they ever do is something completely different Have to disagree with you there mate. If he has no intention of getting it back why call it a loan. If you don't think loan means paying it back, try getting the same deal from your local branch of Halifax.

Considering the famous club insider (who everybody is now taking his word as gospel) said when mentioning the 20m that it was an interest free loan. Loan implies he'll be getting it back one way or another. He is still doing us a favour though. If we need to £20m to operate immediately and we don't have it, the only way to get it would be a loan at interest. If he is putting it in without interest, then he is saving the club loads in interest payments and also losing out on interest himself in saving that money. Thats fair enough. But my point is though, if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in this position. All he is doing is protecting is investment. The club will be a more attractive proposition if it owes Ashely "x amount with no interest" than the same amount to the banks with interest.
