good shout. theyve actually appointed hart! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/q/qpr/8417908.stm?DCMP=KNC-SkyTicker1

im not saying i agree, but his chairman will have said keep us by any means possible. if he doesnt, chances are he will get fired. its contraversial, but its the way football is going these days. money money money.
-
if at the end of the season, wolves go down he will probably lose his job. the chairman has probably said with the money an all that survival is the priority, therefore the guy is doing everything to ensure 3 points against burnley and his own job come the end of the season. i dont like it, but with money being crucial to football these days its no more evil than naming a stadium emirates, reebok or sportsdirect.com@st james park.

start supporting MK Dons
-
from mick mc carthy's point of view, i can see why he did it, for a team like wolves premiership survival is the whole aim. highly unlikely they were going to get anything at OT and with a game against burnley at the weekend, 3 points there is imperative. its not what id like to see, teams effectively resigning to defeat but with the money of the premier league, its always going to happen. Man United are absolutely miles ahead of wolves, and wolves are desperate just to stay up.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/championship/newcastleunited/6769503/Nicky-Butts-Manchester-United-days-are-lifting-Newcastle-says-Chris-Hughton.html?DCMP=KNC-SkyTicker1 sorry if posted elsewhere Butt, 35 next month, came through the ranks at Old Trafford alongside the likes of Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, the Neville brothers and David Beckham and the fact they are all going strong is down to the education they enjoyed under the auspices of manager Sir Alex Ferguson. "You only have to watch Nicky train to know to see why he is still going strong at his age," Hughton said. Related Articles Newcastle probe Carroll arrest Andy Carroll questioned over 'assault' Alan Smith revels in Newcastle resolve Newcastle United 2 Watford 0 Sol Campbell wanted by Newcastle United Roeder: Newcastle need to invest in new players "For someone of his age, whether he is at fit as he was at 24, I don't know, but he can't be that far off. He is a very tough individual. He is a player who generally trains the same way every day, with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. "Whether it is a Man United thing, I think that's part of it. I think he was with a group, a real tough group of players, Gary and Phil Nevilles, Giggs, Beckham, Scholes players still going and I think his background has enabled us to see what he is every day in training." Butt is expected to be recalled to Hughton's first team as a replacement for the suspended Kevin Nolan at relegation-threatened Coventry tonight when the Championship pacesetters could extend their lead in the promotion race to seven points over nearest rivals West Bromwich Albion. Hughton has not been able to guarantee Butt a starting slot this season but the combative midfielder appears to have reacted in exemplary fashion "He has been very good about it," Hughton said. "Part of it is that he has had a couple of little spells with injuries so he has not been available right the way through that period. "But what he sees is a team that has done well, he sees players like Alan Smith and Kevin Nolan predominantly who have played in central midfield and have not really missed any games through injury. "They are players who have generally been fit and I think he just appreciates we have started well and he has just got to be part of it." Hughton is convinced Butt will eventually follow him into management. "I think that if he wants to, he could be a manager, Hughton added. "He has all the attributes. But he has got to have the desire to want to do that. He is certainly very knowledgeable about the game. "He earns respect in that changing room for not only what he has done in the past but how he is now and how he conducts himself. Never late for training, always trains very well so he is the model professional."

gonna be in th minority here, but away to gillingham, millwall or brighton would be great for me! -
Well Im only a student. In principle I would very much like to own part of the club I support, just havent thought about how much I would like to put in yet. Would definately commit to a tenner if thats the minimum, but if this is a serious bid it would need a bit of structure.
-
right, so how exactly do we intend to do this? i mean surely if you buy a share, it has to go in someones name. whos name does it go in? surely we cant buy a share in the name of "newcastle-online.org". How many people would be willing to commit if for example this share was in the name of Chris Barnes? For what its worth, Id be willing to put at least a tenner in if people can come up with a viable suggestion but I am a bit sceptical.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_5546058,00.html Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has confirmed he is ready to let striker Sam Vokes leave on loan. The Welsh international almost joined Derby on transfer deadline day, but they called off a move when Rob Hulse's move to Middlesbrough failed to materialise. Whilst Derby maintain an interest, the likes of Newcastle and Boro have also been linked with the 19-year-old. "We'll see what happens when everyone gets back from the international duty," McCarthy told the club's website. "Sam really needs to play some football. "There was half a chance he could have gone out last week. "For him to develop and for us to benefit he has to play regularly. "Sam has had a meteoric rise from Bournemouth and for him to improve he's got to play some football so there's a chance he can go out." McCarthy also hinted that the likes of Daniel Jones and Mark Little could also be loaned out. "We are in a good reserve league this year with fixtures to be fulfilled," Mick added. "But those games probably aren't of much use for players like Daniel Jones and Mark Little. "They've had a taste of first team football and need to be playing it. "We've not had any enquiries for any of them yet but we'll see." is he any good?

bit harsh calling therm s*** grounds. give me grounds like that over SoL or the riverside any day. was only refering to selhurst park when i mentioned shit grounds, and like i say would rather selhurst than the emirates. never been to the others. very much looking forward to them. ive been to a fair few football league games and have enjoyed the lot.

"steven taylor has nailed his colours to the mast and says he will remain at newcaslte despite relegation" "dave, it was a great party last night, ill nail my colours to the mast and help you clean up"
-
very stupid of him. very fair punishment, and very bad for sheff utd, so good for us!
-
i went to the palace game and absolutely loved every second! seemed to be a great atmosphere amongst us lot and some good banter between the fans. love going to new grounds, especially the shite ones. much better than sitting in a modern plasticy stadium like the reebok or the emirates. you get the impression people care about their team much more, even if there are a couple of goons. based in the midlands in 3 weeks time and will try and get to the likes of sheffields, forest, derby, leicester aways and a home game if possible
-
yeah thought set up shop was one because i remember someone telling me a very politically incorrect joke about a certain ethnic minority group not being very good at football because every time theres a corner they have to set up a shop.
-
come to think of it, i hate the way commmentators always misuse the world literally. "that chance was literally on a plate" "the newcastle defence are literally all at sea". well no actually unless were playing at portsmouth
-
now its getting to the end of the game, bolton are happy with a point and have "set up shop". never understood that one.
