  1. I had mine like that in 1992 when I was on the guestlist at Wentworth Leisure Centre roller disco every Saturday night
  2. Let’s go like for like Spurs away Palace at home West Ham away 3rd round of the league cup
  3. Isak’s played 1000 minutes and scored 4 this season. Let’s imagine he’d stayed and that’s all we got out of him.
  4. If you want to get a visual overview of what’s happening on the entire pitch but don’t mind being completely removed from the players on the pitch then L7 is perfect. And vice versa for being pitchside. I’d rather be stood 5 yards from the players kicking the ball about and am happy to forgo the birds eye view of the formations and tactics. Up close and personal is my preference. Otherwise I might as well just be watching on the telly. But each to their own.
  5. If we’d lost yesterday, West Ham had won yesterday and we hadn’t beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge then I’d be properly cacking in my y-fronts right now. Not gonna lie.
  6. Decent goal from the Mexican Wolf Boy
  7. You could have just not had a drink, problem solved.
  8. Exactly, I’m happy to sacrifice an element of the view because for me, being pitchside up close to the action is my preference. Other people have different preferences.
  9. That was my preferred spot for most of the 22/23 season. In Block A, always stood up. Was absolutely class.
  10. I’ve been front row corner flag plenty of times, Gallowgate & Leazes. Rewatch the Osula celebrations against Man Utd and you’ll see the front row corner flag lads going absolutely apeshit hugging Big Willie. You’ll never get an experience like that if you’re higher up the stands. Each to their own innit.
  11. Who said anything about accommodating away fans needs at our ground ? They can complain all they want. It’s our ground not theirs. I don’t give a shit if they don’t like it. But I do agree with them that being in L7 is shite. The fact we’re allowed to break the PL rules on away ends is something they could quite rightly question. But that’s an issue that’s mainly decided by the PL and the bizzies. And they’re happy with L7 being the away end.
  12. Aye, we’re the only two clubs allowed to break the rule about away end being near to the pitch
  13. If you don’t give two fucks about the away fans match day experience why are you repeatedly commenting about it
  14. In your opinion it isn’t as bad as people make out. In my opinion it is as bad as people make out. That’s just life.
  15. Why do you even care if away fans complain about L7. If they want to complain about it that’s their prerogative. I couldn’t give two shites if they complain, as you rightly say it’s our ground not theirs. Doesn’t mean I can’t agree with them that being in L7 means the match experience is rubbish.
  16. Eh ? There’s nowt daft about it. Some away fans don’t like the view from L7 and how its miles from the pitch so they complain about it. Which is understandable. It’s your argument that’s daft ya dafty.
  17. You might not think the view is bad, but I do. I want to be near the pitch, so I feel close to the action. In L7 I hate being so far removed from the action. And for some people that’s more important than being close to boozers or places to eat etc so they complain about it being a shit view where they feel removed from what’s happening on the pitch. It’s really not that deep. You quite like it, other people don’t like it. They can complain about it if they want to.
  18. I rarely drink peeve when I go to the match these days. Maybe once or twice a season.
  19. Aye, I’ll give the short lived L7 singing section special dispensation because it was more about the atmosphere and like minded people being able to gather together. Being a gazillion miles from the pitch was secondary compared to that. I loved it up there then.
  20. I know why the away end isn’t by the pitch, I was just saying it’s a shite away end because it’s billions of miles from the pitch. So I can see why away fans complain about it. And I don’t know the specific details of parking restrictions of the various out of town grounds, I was just making a point that plenty people drive to games and proximity to boozers won’t be an important factor for them.
  21. I won’t sit up there unless I’ve absolutely no other option. L7 is shite, in my opinion. And I had a season ticket up there for a while when it was all I was able to get. So I’ve served my time.
  22. There’s rules in place that say away fans have to be near the pitch. But us and the makems break the rules. Can see why some away fans whinge about being up there. It must be the furthest removed away end in the country. And plenty of them probably can’t be arsed to listen to us whinging about the out of town locations of their grounds. Not everyone cares about being close to boozers, they just want to park their car easily, watch some football and go home straight after. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
