  1. Unlimited memberships available all season isn't a membership though. It's just an entry fee for accessing the ballot and resale I was in Lisbon recently when Sporting played Benfica. Top of the table local derby that would probably decide the title. I'd have loved to have gone and experienced that game Tickets only on sale to members. Memberships were still on sale and I would have bought one if it gave me a chance of getting a ticket But the restriction was that you had to have held a membership for 6 months to get a ticket for that game Was that frustrating for me ? Yes. But it meant as a tourist with no allegiance to Sporting I couldn't get a ticket and potentially deprive a genuine Sporting fan from getting to the game NUFC had none of that in place last season. Joao the Sporting fan visiting Newcastle for the weekend had just as much chance of a ticket as Joe the lifelong NUFC fan who applies for every game. As long as they were both willing to pay their £40 membership And the same principle applied to touts, away fans and anyone else who just fancied checking out a game. That's why we need some sort of restriction, not to limit tickets to a select few thousand members And I bought multiple tickets for every home game last season, so I'll be fine if they keep the same system. I don't have an agenda in trying to increase my chances
  2. you sell a “membership” that is really just a £40 tax to allow absolutely anyone (fan, tout, tourist who’s visiting the city, away fan etc) to join at any point in the season and to all have a completely equal chance of buying a ticket for any game in general sale for what reason exactly ?
  3. They could sell unlimited memberships June to end of July then close it. Open it again Dec to end of Jan for any more who want to sign up You don’t buy a membership in the windows then you miss out on going to games Won’t stop the touts, but might limit their interest in taking a punt Means we have a finite number of people able to buy tickets for each 1/2 of the season and club could be open about how many people hold memberships in that period Which allows the rest of us to have some sense as to what we’re up against in terms of membership numbers competing for tickets Offering unlimited memberships all season long isn’t a “membership” it’s just a general sale but with an entry fee to generate extra bunce for the club
  4. Ashley was the type of owner the Top 6 and Premier League love His stated aim was that we wouldn’t ever be competitive Determined to scrape by, doing the bare minimum, kowtowing to the Top 6, happy to take the telly cash and the free ads for his shitty stores THE CUNT
  5. Everything about FFP is designed to be a Catch 22 for anyone outside of the Top 6 To compete against the established Top 6 you need to have wealthy owners who can invest, for wealthy owners to be allowed to invest you need to increase your commercial revenue, but to increase your commercial revenue you need to be able to compete against the established Top 6, which you can't do unless your wealthy owners are allowed to invest
  6. Should have had DJ Fucking Otzi doing the turn at the poundshop Super Bowl
  7. If we were genuinely in for him and he’s decided he’d rather stay in West London and earn more money but in an overpaid bloated squad with a mentalist owner and unproven manager then that’s his prerogative, but I reckon he’s not the right sort of player for NUFC People need to want to come here for what’s happening on the pitch and being part of the evolution of this club
  8. Using a search agency is standard practice for Director level recruitment, regardless of industry NUFC will have specified their ideal candidate profile. Odgers will then put in the legwork to approach, attract and assess DoF’s Odgers should be liaising with NUFC throughout the process about who’s interested and who isn’t, who they rate and who they don’t Odgers then present the shortlist of the strongest candidates to NUFC and our Board start interviewing
  9. Only team located on an island who have won the FA Cup
  10. I’m more outraged about your incorrect use of we’re than I am about missing out on the Conference League
  11. Nah, I think you’ve completely misunderstood the situation His wages are £1m annually, that’s fuck all in football terms. Paully D earns more for doing nothing but train Man Utd and Ashworth have been exposed as snidey cunts and their new hire is stuck in limbo We’re demonstrating we won’t be taken the piss out of and are cracking on with recruitment of players and finding a replacement for the snidey cunt
  12. Boehly would pay £100m for Ashworth to play centre mid
  13. Pope may be a high quality keeper, but he’s had 2 x shoulder dislocations and that makes his future career look much more risky And we’ve seen how much damage it does having a fuckwit like MDubz in nets for most of the season Pope possibly won’t like the idea of us signing a top quality keeper, but he can’t argue with the logic
  14. People were saying (well I was anyway) that he’d be daft to try it because we’d be watching him like a hawk, he’d get caught and this would give our lawyers a field day whilst also risking his reputation Which is what’s happening right now to him and Berrada Although I’ll admit I thought it’d be more difficult to catch him than just checking the NUFC servers for emails sent to Ineos or MUFC addresses
  15. NUFC IT Manager when they found the Berrada email BCC’d to Dan’s account
  16. Odgers are running the recruitment process on behalf of NUFC Candidates will be assessing if they fancy working for the club as much as we're assessing whether the candidates could deliver the vision for NUFC It's a two way process, with Odgers in the middle co-ordinating it This isn't like Fat Mike down the Dog & Duck offering jobs to the boys because he's 7 pints deep and trying to impress a barmaid who keeps glancing at his wide legged denim pantaloons
  17. NTL cunt spoiling the Northern Rock vibe
  18. When Beckham was leaving Man Utd for Real Madrid he got lipread saying “I’ve had talks” or something similar to G Neville at the end of an end of season match
  19. Of course there'll always be some debate about controversial decisions, that's been part of football forever But since VAR was introduced the level of debate about controversial or incorrect decisions has exploded, rather than declining Every single week of the season there's VAR controversies causing ructions
