Or Willock at his very best at age 23 was as good as an elite 19 year old in their breakout season. And unfortunately for us Willock’s very best was fleeting, he’s done fuck all since then.

Because people are nincompoops

Where’s the stat that says Bellingham was 19 years old during that season and Willock was 23. Because it’s very important for the reader to understand that context.

Which boozer does he drink in ?

He's caught ebola of the eyes from reading posts on this forum

There's a difference between discussing something sensibly, versus the "told you so" hindsight merchants piling in to claim victory if a transfer isn't working out

You could go back through pretty much any signing we've made and find people saying "yes" or "no" and passing their amateur DoF opinion on the price that was paid. And then either making a load of noise to justify their opinion if they were right or keeping tight lipped if they were wrong, once the player is here. We paid what we paid for a player who did really well at Forest, he hasn't got off to a very good start here. Maybe he'll never click, maybe he will. Not every signing will work out here or justify their price tag. That's life.

Isak got sold for £130m, a price that felt low to fans of NUFC. He’s been utter dogshit Hindsight is the best Director of Football in the business

I don't think anyone is expecting it to go back to a by-gone era. But just to accept shite because “that’s just the way it is these days” reeks of defeatism and suggests that the prevailing attitude is that it’s not even worth trying to improve the situation because what’s the point. Give us at least 10,000 rail seats that are also singing sections, allow people who don’t want to stand and sing to move out of those sections. Atmosphere will improve.

That’s a fair comment about how shite Anfield is, but just because Anfield is shite doesn’t mean it acceptable for SJP to also be shite

He’s only lasted 18 months and given the massive size and obscene cost of their squad he’s hardly set the world alight at the level Chelsea should be aiming for. And the club World Cup isn’t a proper tournament. It’s a farce of a competition.

You go to Chelsea as a player or manager because of the money. You’re prioritising dolla dolla bills y’all over your footballing career. The sort of managers who know they’ll get millions in the bank after being sacked within a year or two and the sort of players who’d rather earn more to sit on the bench than get paid less to be a regular starter somewhere else. This is the sort of club that PSR should prevent from existing, not the ambitious clubs building something stable like us and Villa.

For a variety of reasons, we’ve got tens of thousands of spectators in the ground, what we need is tens of thousands of supporters in the ground

Favourite Match: The final Favourite Goal: Dan Burn, Wembley Favourite Moment: Attended - Arsenal semi 2nd leg Favourite Player: Tonali Any other favourite memories: Couldn’t get a ticket for the final, but the alternative turned out to be wild. Went to Berlin, got into Berghain, left there Sunday afternoon to watch match with Fender & band, all of us going mental during match, Fender’s gig was absolutely bouncing with loads of Geordies, went back to Berghain after gig, went from Berlin to Amsterdam, another Fender gig and mooched with Shearer backstage. The most epic 3 days of my entire life.

You’re completely off your lips if you think all of that justifies describing them as a financially poor and mediocre club with no ambition. They declined from their peak unbeatable season era, but they were still regularly achieving things on the pitch that any club outside of the PSR Protected 5 could only dream of whilst also making a minimum of £100m more in annual revenue than any of the other 16 clubs in the league.
-
Are we talking about the same Arsenal who were consistently in the top 5 clubs by revenue throughout the 2010’s. An era when Chelsea and Man City had massive injections of capital and supercharged their way to success pre-PSR. The same Arsenal who would consistently have revenue that was £100m a season more than the next placed team that wasn’t in the Top 5 by revenue. The same Arsenal that won 4 cups and was regularly in the Top 4 in the league. Cos that’s the Arsenal I’m talking about. Not the financially poor and mediocre footballing side that you’re referring to.
-
In the 2010’s they consistently finished in the Champions League spots and won 4 cups. Are you on glue ? I won’t judge you if you are, I’m partial to it myself. And I often call it Gluesday rather than Tuesday.
