Seems crazy when you see the respective team sheets that we are all so ecstatic at the performance today but that's because we so often flatter to deceive. May not be the worst time to get the yellow. We'd rather be on the front foot against Stoke and we definitely need him more against Arsenal. I know it would be best for him to play in both but he could easily have got the yellow against Stoke instead and missed the Arsenal game.

Just thinking, this is scarily similarly to two years ago. Ben Arfa couldn't get in the team as Pardew didn't trust him but after January he forced his way in with a few great sub appearances. Since he got dropped he seems to have lost weight, re-focussed and has looked excellent in his last couple of appearances.

Has amazing potential with his physical attributes. Felt we weren't getting the ball to him enough today, which is crazy seeing as he and Debuchy were so effective but just felt there were spells where he didn't see the ball at all. But whenever he did get it he seems to scare the hell out of the opponent.

Don't know why as I don't really watch it anymore but it really annoyed me how Anita's dribble last week didn't make soccer am's "showboat" video . It was great skill and yet all they ever seem to show is pointless back heels. Same thing with Ben Arfa's runs never seemingly on there when they take far more ability and skill that the other stuff they show.

Thoroughly enjoyable game that. So nice to see us boss and control a game. Did fear we again would fail to score 3 goals in a game but Hatem put that right at the end and we may even have scored more if he'd come on sooner. But a perfect away performance and finally winning games comfortably against teams you'd expect us to. Their only real chance happened purely because Tiote slipped at a vital moment.

Think Shola must have given Hatem the pen because he felt guilty after Ben Arfa put it on an plate for him and he somehow managed to miss.

Looked every bit the top player he's supposed to be today. Think I prefer him when he's given a free role like today. Wish he'd buried that chance at the end.

Anyway he got a toe on the ball then stood up to the the player then crunched him with a tackle which went out for a throw in. That quote is out of context like . Yeah since he hasn't been playing on the wings he doesn't win many fouls, corners or create many chances Fair enough but before he came into the side we couldn't buy a goal. Since then we've been scoring every game pretty much. He give us potency upfront and also creates space for others. One bad game where he missed a few chances doesn't change that. Until he goes on a run anywhere near as bad as Shola or Cisse without scoring then it seems insane to me to suggest he should be out the team.
