I think he made a really important decision to leave his boyhood team and join us to develop. We would not be seeing this level from him if he was still at Everton. Howe and the coaching staff have fast tracked his development remarkably. Even in just the short time he's been here you can see the improvements in his game already. Obviously got himself into peak cardio fitness this summer which helps, but he looks to have filled out abit more aswell and has shown good strength in his duals. No pressure on the boy as he's still developing, but he's already surpassed my expectations of him for this year so keep going lad.?

Somehow gets away with alot of niggly fouls but will always pick up an inevitable booking eventually. I think that's what Pep was getting agitated about, Joelinton being allowed to bully his players. Seemed to be chatting to him after final whistle. No doubt when we next play them in the league he will plant some seeds about our style of play in the build up, to try and influence the ref. Mind you he might not, as he's not as desperate as that Ten Hag cunt. We missed him though. When he's carrying a knock or not 100% it's noticeable because he's a monster when he's firing on all cylinders.

Grealish is a good player. He does exactly what Pep tells him to which ofcourse makes him less of a maverick (Pardism) bit like when Mourinho got hold of Joe Cole or Ferguson with Rooney. Seen him have excellent games for City and I think that style of play that looks so boring and repetitive is exactly what Pep wants from them because he's looking at the bigger picture. But it's still boring to watch fro a spectator perspective. Think he was returning from a injury lay off tonight aswell.....Christ I sound like a Grealish fanboy here and normally infant stand the cunt. No doubts Livra had him in his pocket though. Nice to have a full back with pace for a change.

When he's on form you can really notice the difference a player like Bruno makes. Same thing against Sheffield Utd. He was just levels above them. Fair play to him as he looked short of fitness and sharpness in the first few games and looks like he's been doing oxygen tents etc to help catch up to peak fitness. He's got an unbelievably high ceiling. Only held back really by his lack of pace/athleticism but it's less of an issue when he's at his peak sharpness and fitness.

Think Hall was just struggling to get in the game and decided to put him in his more favoured position. Good attitude from Targett just got on with what he was asked to do.

Surprised that Alex Murphy wasn't starting or atleast in the squad. Looked decent preseason and considerably better than Dummett. But Dummett didn't disgrace himself tonight and did well. However he and Lascelles were never exposed really and City played infront of us for the majority. I wouldn't get too carried away with the performance, especially as first half showed both his and Lascelles limitations of playing out the back which meant we kept going long and just giving possession back.

Class 2nd half. Bruno and Gordon completely changed the game and injected life and belief into all the others. We couldn't keep the ball to save our lives 1st half and you could tell they were scared to lose the ball because City keep it so well, just like the league game. But Bruno straight away got on the ball and then we went aggressive with our press. I think we have shown that's the only way to play City now. You have to risk losing chances to them because if you don't get stuck into them they just keep the ball and wear you down. Some great performances and it helps keep the momentum that we are starting to generate. Only negative is the more games we have, you can tell this squad is gonna be stretched to fuck. I whinced every time a player went down injured. There are a few like Bruno that are just crucial we keep fit.

Yeah just worded badly. I just meant his size advantage in general. He's had some shocking attacking headers in the past. But this was very promising. Guy was literally doing everything he could to stop him and Dan still powered his way on to the end of the cross and directed it well. Great cross from Tripps also.

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)

He's such a calming presence. Anytime the ball gets near him I'm never particularly worried. Even today early on before we had settled he just won all his duels and stepped in proactively. Also some of his passes through midfield were excellent. If the Brighton game is anything to go by, I think as others said, his fitness is crucial to our success this year. Crikey at his age that's crazy to think. What a player we have. -
It just took our players abit of time to realise these were shit and to find their confidence in themselves again. I was saying to my Mrs before the first goal that we just need to string a few passes together and we could cut them open. I was just nervous it was going to be one of those games where you get dragged down to their level. But Gordon introduction sparked us into life.
-
Wish he would do that more often. He looked unstoppable for that goal. He should score far more with his height. Good shift in general. Poor lad never seems to get a rest though ?
-
Was purring at his performance today. He was levels above all of their players. Just bossed that midfield. The nutmegs were flowing again and he just kept finding space and threading lovely passes all day. Was a little glimpse into him playing further forward also once Tonali came on. Mind you the space they allowed us was criminal. The contrast between this and Milan for the boys must have been massive.
-
Really promising. Probably his best game for us so far. Can tell he's a confidence player and he was really confident today. Should have scored with an easier chance but glad he followed it up with a nice goal straight after.

Captain Steak Bakes (now managing Blackpool/revising history)

Even if you only watched that interview and didn't have any prior knowledge of him. You would know he was a Man Utd fan and not Newcastle. Never understood this pretence he's stuck with. Guy's an absolute narcissist and perpetual liar. The only smart thing about him is he knew to get friendly with people in the media who can give him platforms like this to just reel off his lies unchallenged. Because once his version is out there, the rest of the sheep who can't think for themselves will regurgitate his bile. I don't like Craig Hope but the way Bruce tries to defend himself over that first game incident with the left back when everyone with their own eyes could see it was true. -
We need to cut out the petulant bookings however. Gordon one away from a ban already?
-
Not seen whole game but Lamptey looks back to the form he was in a few years ago when he tore us apart.

6686 66865bet.com Lol ? I guess betting companies now just auto generate their names.

Ugh ?. Don't like them getting silly money for an aging player. Will set them up for the next few years massively.

Man U will look alot better once Amrabat plays and if Hojlund settles. Still stick by my pre season prediction that I think they finish outside top 4.

Sven Botman: Out for up to 8 weeks after minor Knee operation (Howe)

Midfield has been really poor which doesn't help the defense. However...today for me really showcased how good Botman is in comparison to Burn. When Botman steps out he more often than not makes the interception. Burn got no where near and then decided to start backing off instead which lead to the 2nd and 3rd having so much time and space. Also seems to compliment Schar who looks half he player without him. Will fear the worst in every game he's not playing this season. -
We were riding an incredible wave of momentum and enthusiasm going into last season and caught alot of teams by surprise with our pressing style etc. Was always going to be tougher this year with the extra games and teams now treating us like a big team and being aware of our tactics. However it does feel from a starting 11 perspective we aren't much stronger. Putting alot of hope in Willock to come in and improve the midfield but so far Joelinton has looked a mile off (like carrying a knock) Bruno looks like he hasn't put in the effort preseason and also looks off it. Tonali is new and adapting with little English. Schar tripper and burn are all a year older and look tired already. It's gonna be a long season and I hope fans and owners are patient as there are gonna be more days like today coming.
-
Wilson's had the right attitude since coming on. I thought before the game he was due a start. Defo next game for sure. Whole lineup needs a rethink from Eddie.
-
God forgot what it was like to be shit.
-
Joelinton way off it again. If he's carrying a knock then someone else should be playing. Crying out for someone to pick up João Pedro in the hole. Burn and Schar are too slow to step out and our midfield is nowhere to be seen. 2nd half. Bruno and Tonali to sit in and Isak to play as a 10 behind Wilson. Joelinton off.

Would love to hear the VAR audio on that for their justification that he isn't interfering. You can literally see Leno waiting to see if Akanji is going to touch it before he dives. Refs in this country are not fit for purpose.
