Young plays left and Agbonlahor plays upfront so there isn't an issue. Don't they play more of a 4-5-1/4-3-3 though with the front looking something like Agbonlahor - Carew - Young?
-
Even if he goes to Villa does he really think he'll displace Young and Agbanlahor(sp?)? Would MoN have the balls to change his formation around just to fit Milner in? Does he have a crush on Milner?

"This smells like Liverpool" - my unabashed Liverpool supporting friend.

That would be nice, but kinda harsh on Milner's family and that. Don't think Milner would take it too bad now.
-
Couldnt agree more. Always thought he was pretty solid.

My main point is that if SWP or Lennon are our replacements then I'd rather keep Milner as he's a better overall player. If we've got someone like Jonas lined up however, I'd have no problem letting Milner go. It's mostly the timing of this whole mess that's the most distressing. I rate Milner but also realize he's not the best, albeit better than SWP/Lennon - I'd be very disappointed swapping Milner for either of those clowns.

I never try to criticise posts on here but wow, what a poor post. Sounds like a guy who watched his very first Newcastle game last night. Milner put in a great performance last night but I have seen him put in plenty of good performances over the last few seasons unlike SWP/Lennon who have really good form of sitting on the bench. Milner has, overall, been very consistent and he's always out there trying his hardest, SWP or Lennon aren't good enough to get the chance regularly.
-
I was agreeing with you as well.

I never try to criticise posts on here but wow, what a poor post. Get over yourself. And has played more consistently for many more seasons. SWP had what, one or two good seasons at Man City then pissed it away because he wanted a big money/glory move to Chelsea and got to rot on the bench instead? Milner is a much more vaulable player than SWP or Lennon will/could ever be.

How many times does Ashley have to come out and say the funds are there if KK finds the people he wants before we stop reading posts/hearing stories about Ashley not releasing the funds?
-
If you want SWP or Lennon over Milner you need to get your fucking head checked. Milner may not be as fast as SWP/Lennon but at least he has an end product and knows how to cross the ball. The timing of all this reeks of shit, something is amiss behind the scenes.

If Carlsberg did Transfer Rumours.. (Berbatov)
cubaricho replied to Colos Short and Curlies's topic in Football
I have a feeling Ramos is done with Berbatov and wants to get rid of him but the board is not so keen. -
This whole thing is too much. He's already a cult hero and hasn't stepped on the field for a senior match. If he does at a home game you all will go mental, imagine if he scores.

I stopped watching in about the 85th minute, seems we made quite a meal out of it after that. God bless Michael Owen.

Taylor is sweating bullets.

Liked Shaw's response. Full of praise. Top guy. "Underestimate Newcastle at your own peril" - Shaw

I know it never needs to be said but I will say it again: Beye is fucking class.
-
He's really overrated but he does make a nuisance of himself, that's for sure. He posses a threat and always has defenders on their toes even if he doesn't deserve to have them on edge.
-
erm...pardon me? Milner? pace? The end product bit. SWP can't cross worth shit and people on here seem to think Milner can't either.
-
Am I the only person that doesn't rate SWP? He's got tons of pace but no end product - the same thing a lot of people on here knock Milner for.

Carrick _ Scholes Ronaldo ___________ Giggs Rooney Berbatov I'd reckon something along those lines. He's the front/target man they need and Rooney loves that free/playing in the hole position.
-
If I were in Newcastle I'd definitely be down for this. Would love to get a kick around together when I make it over there in the Spring though.
-
Would love for some young fringe players (Bassong, et al) get a run out for this match while still fielding a decent side. Eventually I'd field a full squad but for these first few rounds I'd like to see some other guys get match experience.

When everyone is fit I think this is what Keegan will go with to be honest.

Had a thought about Huddlestone. He's always been someone I've rated and I can guarantee he's not fancying riding the pine watching Tottenham go belly up. Worth a punt? Would be solve our DM "problem" or would you all see him riding the pine here behind Butt?
