I don't care about Harpers performances, the bare truth is that we must choose between a young talent or an older player who isn't going to develop any further, and now is the time to give youth its chance where possible. I don't like the guy as a person and less so as a player to be honest, he's been useless and made numerous mistakes/bad decisions. I always thought he came across quite well in interviews.

me niether. I was willing them to show a bit of urgency in the 2nd half but they just didn't seem overly bothered. Well now all of those players will be known as the Newcastle side that got relegated and the only one it's probably harsh on is Taylor. what's even harsher is he's one of the few players who actually cares. For the others it's just a chance for them when they've retired to be able to look back at their careers and say "yeah I was relegated once. God, we were awful." Owen will probably bring a book out about it - "KEEPING HORSES... and relegation."

I think Harper, Staylor, Rtaylor, Butt, Nolan, Guthrie, Lovenkrands and Carroll are the only senior players that may realistically stay. Enrique and Beye would probably take some persuading. at least this gives the youngsters a chance to break through - the likes of Donaldson, Vukcic, Ranger, Lua Lua, Kadar.
