Kinnear was bizarre. The sheer lunacy of his appointment is enough. Carver was a sack of shite but he was just a caretaker. Bruce is an ignorant dinosaur through and through. He's got a cabbage head and a noodle spine. Schteve McLaren was another taken off the scrap heap who delivered exactly what we expected of him: nothing. Pardew had some good times but he had some talented squads. Without knowing the man you would have thought we'd be pissed when he left but we cheered. I voted Kinnear but only because I try like hell to erase Bruce from my conscious thought.

Hopefully a step towards resolution and the takeover eventually being approved. It has to be ok'd before the summer, it has to. -

A belated Merry Christmas to all. I know our dreams didn't come true because Ashley and Cabbagehead are still with the club.

After reading some articles detailing (among other things) that NUFC are last in the league with crossing, Cabbage Heed's newest tactical revolution will be to tell his team, "Go out there and cross more, lads!"

"Jonjo Shelvey seemed content sitting at the base of midfield and pinging gorgeous long passes to various imaginary teammates sitting in the stands." I brilliant sentence that describes this dick with ears perfectly.

totally forgot about this. oh well

Pardew was a shyster, Bruce is just stupid. Big difference, IMO.

Sean Longstaff (now playing for Leeds United)
Consortium of one replied to xLiaaamx's topic in Football
Although they play poorly more often than not it's not any of the younger players fault. What is the framework that they play in? Are they assigned specific functions and drilled to carry out those function and then held accountable? Or are they just put on the pitch to roll up their socks and do the best they can? He's not a great athlete but Longstaff looks slower if he's indecisive because he hasn't been drilled correctly -

Ritchie looks like he's running in 2 feet of water. His legs are pumping like mad but he makes little progress. Physically he's shot. Should be offered another extension. The club are devoid of confidence. Our midfield is content to pass backwards rather than forward, defensively everyone is content to play in their own little bubble and amazingly it seems a whole team can just disappear. I find myself looking for a glimmer of hope and was genuinely excited by a Longstaff sliding tackle only to see him fade back into obscurity. It is quite sad. Robbie Musto had a go at Cabbage head on Peecock at the half and after the game. -
Totally agree and making peace would include an apology for ignoring the BEOutQ situation. The Qatari's stepped up bigtime with their accepted bid for EPL rights and obviously the EPL was in negotiations while the takeover was in progress. The EPL will say it didn't want to sacrifice this deal to approve PIF. It could further say that it consulted the Big 6 because as the EPL's most valuable properties, they deserved to have input with the proceedings. I would say that Qatar stepping up with this offer is game, set, match. It doesn't mean that PIF can't get back in, it just means there would have to be conciliatory gestures towards Qatar before anything happens.

But he’s not a striker is he absolutely not but that is what he was bought to be. At 40M I don't think he was bought for resale either. I think someone thought he could replace rondon and was horribly wrong.

yep. A proper Swiss Army knife. Would like to see how he does as a fullback.
-
As someone said before he's a confidence player. Total shit when he goes into his shell.
-
He will always lack the killer instinct to be a successful striker.
