He had a nice flick on from a long ball yesterday and looked shocked that not one Newcastle player was within 15 yards of him.

ASM affectionately refers to Brewcie as tête de chou -
Played well. Cracking goal. Deserves more chances in the team.

How do you get a hernia when you move like a snail?

Matty should have gone out on loan.

Any player we look at has to be looked at in the context of who his head coach is. It's the Bruce effect.

Another Bruce tactical masterclass. -
sit him. we've been patient enough. Cut the 40M loss and let him ride the pine for a half dozen games or so. Miggy's shown more in 20 minutes than big joe has in a dozen games.

He's a cabbage-headed dinosaur who's too stupid to have gone extinct.

This is the damning indictment of Bruce's "tactics": he is incapable of making any adjustments to the teams approach, even at halftime. He's a cut and paste manager and then he looks clueless as his tactical approach is slowly dissected and then shredded. When a team figures how you are playing and then counter it, you have to be prepared to counter their changes. This isn't the dinosaur days when everyone plays the same and the difference is team motivation and individual play within the same tactical construct.

We all know our midfield is shite. Hayden is the best of a moribund group.

Wilson Almiron ASM Fraser Big Joe has earned a stint on the bench. -
To be fair, wasn't it the "Big 4" which kinda morphed into the "Big 6"

Zabaleta was amazing.

Ashley wouldn't be doing this kind of deal without someone working with him to get it it done. I do believe the TAKEOVER is inching forward. -
I would assume Charnley went as Newcastle's representative? I imagine him sitting by himself at the kid's table with little plastic teacups and silverware, mooning at all the "big people".

A European Super League looks good on paper (as far as generating money in the short term) but it is not sustainable. If I'm a big six fan do I really want to watch my team play the same teams (only) year after year? I'd rather see my club play newly promoted teams and different clubs in the domestic and continental cups. Variety is the spice of life. PL stays at 20 teams bottom 3 get relegated, 17th PL plays in playoffs with Champo 4,5,6. EFL gets 20% of all TV money but keep all of the money from the new EFL cup which would only include tiers 2,3 & 4 There has to be a vehicle to get cash into EFL clubs hands now in combination with UK government. 6/9 proposal goes away. It's beyond greedy.
