  1. I would have played Ritchie on the right and Atsu on the left the whole game. I get why he started Gayle but I've a feeling Joselu gets the next start.
  2. Condescending statement drenched in irony, coming from a guy who has deprived the club of the extra finances (because ShitDirect pays bugger all for what amounts to exclusive stadium advertising rights) needed to give it some extra clout in the transfer market, potentially catapaulting it's finishing place one or two slots higher at the very least. It's such a veiled dig I'm pretty convinced he enjoys trolling us fans I think he like trolling anybody and everybody.
  3. 18.2M for a 30 y/o Blaise Matudi?
  4. Moat was never gonna make it happen and that is why I moved on from him as a partner and tried to go it alone. I was making progress twards raising the funds (almost $20K) when MA pulled the team off the market. The funds are in escrow should the opportunity arise for me to bid again. I'm confused. You had 20k sitting there and this indicated you were on your way to matching Ashley's asking price? No joke fellas. That is when I switched to my name "Consortium of one". I used to sit on street corners with a tin cup selling pencils and singing. I raised a lot of cash that way (got some nasty looks too). I hit up family and friends for money too. I had to give a lot of it back when I heard threats about "my Ponzi scheme". That's alright, I can get the money machine cranked up again in no time. I haven't got a pot to p*ss in myself but that's never stopped me before. Well I'm in. Just give me your bank details and I'll send the money over. Are you one of those Nigerian guys? Some of them are offering some big money. I was planning on tapping them up...

  7. Exactly, he really let the team down. I think he's important to the way we play and he should go straight into the side when he gets back but he shouldn't wear the armband until he proves he has worked past these issues. Dele was cuntish and either he was going to get a red or someone else was and Shelvey capitulated and let Dele off the hook. Not just that play. He was being mouthy all game, especially with Lascelles earlier. I don't really see what Alli did that was so bad, he tapped the ball away to stop Shelvey picking it up quickly. If that's Shelvey's response after having psychological treatment you have to wonder when it's ever going to change.

  9. Here in the states it was great to be able to sit at home and watch the game. I liked our start and even when Spurs settles in and began to win the possession battle I liked the fact that we show a lethal touch in that we were able to get into good positions to make something happen. If Ayoze had surged forward on that neat back pass from Atsu he could have had us 1-0 but for some reason he stopped in the hole. I was happy with how we were doing defensively until Shelvey's st00pid stomp. Say what you want about Kane's scissor tackle but it doesn't compare to Shelvey's stomp. That undid the whole game and once he was sent off the game was over. If not for that i really think we could have held them to a draw.
  10. "We need a good back-passer on this squad. Any ideas?" "Sign the ginger from United."
  11. Ashley is like a crazy Roman emperor. He's irrational, self indulgent and surrounds himself with sycophants; choosing to listen to them instead of his experienced and sane general.
  12. Expect Carlton Cole in for a medical soon.
  13. PFFT. Colback would have dribbled a bit and back passed. This guys a complete amateur.
  14. As someone who watches American sports, i'm against Salary caps mainly because the money would go to the owners instead of the players. However if possible i wouldn't be against some sort of cap on transfer fees. The big clubs would never agree to it though. IMO level playing field is much more important to a fan than whether it's the owners or players getting the money. That said it will never happen in football outside the US. Sad. Nothing sad about it. Players in sports with a wage cap are being exploited. I would limit the number of players a club can have on its books over a certain age. Players registered, club is allowed to have a small quota outside of that. Any other player should be allowed to transfer clubs - with the buying club only having to fork up 80% of remaining contract as a transfer fee. And limit buy-back clauses to 12 months. Making it simply a glorified loan with potential mutual benefits. It depends on the wage cap. Mediocre NBA players make big money and very few in the NBA are suffering.
  15. That first half season from Papiss Cisse in 2012 was unworldly.
  16. That ship has sailed.
  17. cunts with hermes simplex III, no less
  18. I agree ST>GK>AM but that is assuming De Jong can stay healthy.
  19. some of these puns styx in my craw
  20. I wonder who's idea it was he go out on loan? If Krul told Rafa he didn't want to play in the Championship again and asked to be loaned out maybe Rafa has some hard feelings. If Rafa wanted to send Krul out one can only assume that Krul has done something to piss him off.
  21. 6 months with Rafa and Wenger will want to spunk 12M for him...
  22. Really think keeper is lower on the list of needs. The club needs to address some other issues first. I'm kind of concerned that we haven't heard any rumors about shifting off some of our own players.
  23. 4. I got Ribery because of his teeth!
