  1. Its up and down yes, but right now it feels good to be back in the Premier League and competing. We're inconsistent but its better than 08/09 when we were consistently shit. Last year was fun but to be fair we were facing very inferior teams almost every week, so I'm enjoying this a lot more. Fairly confident as well, as I was in conversation with my Dad (who always seems to be a good judge of football for some reason) and I said the phrase 'if we go down' he interrupted with a very firm 'they won't go down'. So that just filled me with confidence, don't know why, I just trust my Dad when it comes to football.
  2. Bit late but..... Krul 6 - Didn't do much wrong. Simpson 5 - Got skinned a fair few times by Obinna but better than Perch. Williamson 7 - Solid for the most part. Coloccini 7 - See above. Enrique 6 - Didn't have as much of a threat to deal with as Simpson did. Solid in dealing with any threat. Barton 8 - Magnificent. 2 crosses, 2 goals. Can't ask for much more. Tiote 8 - Held the midfield together brilliantly. The player we've been missing for so many years. Nolan 6 - Decent game, took his goal well, his positioning and finishing continues to be an asset. Jonas 5 - Average, one a lot of free kicks, full of running as per, final ball not as good as last week. Carroll 7 - Challenged for everything as usual and took his goal very well. Ameobi 7 - Did very well at holding the ball up. Another good game.
  3. City fans singing 1-0 to the referee. They can fuck right off.
  4. Didn't see Ameobi hold the ball up for Barton to cross for the winner then? Shola had a good game IMO.
  5. Buzz on twitter is that its bullshit. He's fine.

    Wayne Rooney

Holloway is absolutely spot on tbf.
  7. Krul Simpson Campbell Colo Enrique Routledge Barton Tiote Jonas Nolan Ameobi Carroll has been fucking gash recently, Perch is a liability and Williamson continues to look shaky, bottom line if the right side of our defence was anywhere near as good as our left we'd have more points now. Campbell is by far the better option.
  8. What a weekend. I can't say for sure how much I drank but I'm relatively sure it was in double figures.

    Sports Direct

Would rather they weren't there but I'm not too arsed about this. If it attracts companies in to sponsor us then cool.
  10. Loving it. I've got a lift from Greg without even being in the thread. Oh and my ticket only cost £20 student discount
  11. 10 press-ups. Been playing that game with the girls ever since that 'party'.
  12. Don't know if its been posted but Cringeworthy. The Norwegian lad is actually on my course, moron. They're all completely deluded if they think the CL win was anything other than a fluke and they seem to think selling a multi-national business takes a matter of minutes.
  13. Really need to win all of our next 3 for me and we will do if we play like we did against City.
  14. Krul 7 - Pulled off some decent stops, almost saved the pen. Perch 5 - Out of position far too much but decent enough on the ball. Williamson 7 - Solid and dependable again, unlucky victim of another shocking penalty call against us. Coloccini 8 - Fantastic until his injury, hopefully its nowt serious. Enrique 6 - Solid enough but he's had better games. Ben Arfa - Nigel De Jong you utter cunt. Barton 6 - Very good first half, went missing abit in the second. Tiote 9 - Cracking display, kept us competitive in the midfield. Jonas 8 - Best of the season from him, great goal and was a constant threat. Nolan 5 - Linked up play now and again and off the ball he seems to organise and lead fairly well. Still he didn't offer much. Shola 5 - Held up the ball well, got fouled a lot and should have won us a pen. Not a bad game, just not a particularly good one either. Subs: Routledge 5 - Caused them problems from time to time not strong enough on the ball. Campbell 7 - Didn't put a foot wrong. Carroll 5 - Should have been brought on a lot earlier. All in all a decent enough performance, encouraging but the injury to Hatem is gutting. Referee was possibly worse than the one at Everton. Two horrible decisions. Glad Hughton has come out and said that, but he showed naivety in not bringing on Carroll earlier when Shola was clearly struggling to win anything in the air.
  15. Want to see more of him. Looked good against Chelsea, should definitely play in the Arsenal cup game.
  16. Don't really count Nolan as a striker, but I wouldn't condemn anyone who does. Ranger could possibly be above him in the queue thanks to his improved performances. I'm one of Lovenkrands' biggest fans, and he still possesses decent pace but I'm not sure he's a consistent enough of a finisher to be a starting striker in the Premiership. Only reason I think Xisco deserves a chance is that he's barely had a chance to show us what he can do and when he has played I've seen flashes of good play.
  17. What have the others, Shola aside, done to merit starting over him?
  18. Wigan: Yes ours is better. West Brom: Pretty even. Bolton: nope Blackpool: Yes. Blackburn: nope. If we're gonna play 4-4-2, which we absolutely should do at home, then Xisco is the best option to partner Caroll. He showed that against Villa. After that its Shola, shoot me down if you wish but the lad is a decent goalscorer. Then Ranger who seems to be improving and then Lovenkrands who doesn't look cut out for this level.
  19. 2 accumulators on for the weekend 1st one: Stoke win Spurs win QPR win Swansea win Oldham win Rangers win Celtic win Man City win Liverpool win £1 stake pays £83.11 2nd one: Wigan/Wolves draw Birmingham win Man Utd win West Ham/Fulham draw Norwich win Boro/Pompey draw Watford win Huddersfield win Man City/Newcastle draw £1 stake pays £5202.74 Obviously hoping second one comes off, first one is a safety net.
