  1. Great goal by Lumsden that, class finish. 1-0 to the lasses!!
  2. No card for that?! Women's referees eh. Just as shit as the men
  3. He wasn't great but absolutely nobody shone whatsoever in that shapeless muddle of a formation. He was by no means the worst performer on the night.

What an absolute shit show defensively that was Lee Baldy won't see the next international break after this, even at 1-1 it was an absolute wreck of a showing.
  6. That's shite for the England leveller like, it's right in the middle of the goal

An absolute shapeless muddle all night long. Not as negative as peak Southgate but certainly just as ineffective.

Just caught the lunchtime news & there's a family from South Shields holidaying in Florida who're not too far from the hurricane. Thankfully they've not been directly affected by it and they're all OK. But... The father gives a video interview for the news, stood on his balcony wearing a Sunderland home shirt I thought it was just sad gravy stained mags who wore footy tops on holiday? Confusing one.

Hermes (49) has shown a couple of lovely cross field pinged passes straight into the path of the runner, including for that half chance just gone.
  13. I think City, Arsenal, Liverpool are the nailed on top three and then after that it's between us, Chelsea, Villa & Spurs to grab 4-7 with outside chance of Brighton or a good new manager at Man U seeing them have a resurgence to upset that "second four". I really think our season hinges on Isak and Pope's availability. We won't have the injury list or fixture congestion we had last season and goals will always cover up most of the other issues with the side. FWIW I'm counting any time Wilson can play as a bonus. And so long as Pope stays healthy, he will earn us a good amount of points we would otherwise not get with one of the backup brigade in net. Of course if we can strengthen in January, even with one high quality addition at RW, that'll make a huge difference. We've added Tonali, Botman & Miley will hopefully be back before the winter fixtures, the likes of Hall, Gordon, Livramento and Barnes have had their season to fully integrate into our way of playing. Whilst a lot of the performances this season have been muddled, they'll definitely get better & when you look at last season, it basically felt like one long constant kick in the balls with injury/cup draws etc. and yet we were really close to Europe at the end of it anyway. If I had £100 to stick on our finishing position right now I'd stick it on 5th. I've a feeling Chelsea will nab fourth and we'll pip Villa who will start to tire, especially if they progress in Europe.
  14. Can only assume there's a big factory near Brighton that has a Sunday night shift.
  15. Spurs are absolutely incredible for that kind of collapse, they were cruising at the break. On Man U, I can't believe £100m gets you such a complete lack of any kind of presence or goal threat in Zirkzee and Hojlund. They're both such a load of nowt.
  16. We clearly had more money to spend despite the PSR constraints, we could have put Osula's £15m + some of the Guehi fund towards someone who's at very least deemed worthy of a cameo when we have no other fit senior strikers. Why we chose not to do that, I can't pinpoint who's choice that was, but it's already hurting us and we're in October. Not saying that signing has to be of Wilson/Isak level, but if money is so tight we need to admit we can't spend £15m on a one for the future when we've just done two seasons with the two we have who have shocking & questionable fitness records respectively. I literally said Osula I think will come good longer term as well, you full well know the context my post was in.
  17. Nah, I don't agree. They were absolutely there for the taking and we could still be out there now and wouldn't have scored. We can't be satisfied with that result. I don't think we played awfully but the result I think is incredibly underwhelming. My frustration on this one is mostly directed at the summer recruitment tbh, the really obvious issues we've seen for a year or two weren't addressed. If we have a proper striker playing there, we win that game.
  18. aye, you go and toss yourself off into a frenzy about one point away to an absolutely shit rag tag relegation fodder outfit. It's a shit result and if you think the negative reaction isn't justified, you're mental.
  19. This isn't a slight at Osula himself, but what a waste of fucking time this transfer was. "One for the future" but we need someone who can contribute now. We fucking know Isak and Wilson will both have injury issues and chose not to act, it's absolutely fucking criminal.
  20. Horrid result against a shite side. That's two points firmly lost by the useless cunts upstairs and their inability to conduct a summer transfer window. Gordon was fucking crap again, btw.
  21. Feel quite sorry for him today. The shortcomings of our squad exposed after a pathetic excuse of a transfer window, leading to us failing to score against one of the worst PL outfits I can remember us playing in years. Whoever sanctioned relying on two senior strikers made of crisps for another fucking season wants shot with shit. Obviously hope he doesn't but wouldn't blame him one iota if he jacked it in before long.
