  1. You'd think we'd have learned from last season that Isak and Wilson's injury records just don't stand up and that inevitably we'd be without them both for periods longer than the odd match. Can't believe there's an argument that we should have retained Wood but do think we should have either taken an older striker happy to provide cover (bit like when Llorente was at Spurs or even a PL-level Daryl Murphy type) or just take a punt on a £5-£10m young striker from the continent. Gordon playing through the middle means we lose out on his wing play and we're now reduced to bringing the 2023 edition of Phil Airey or Tom Heardman into a PL game as a sub.
  2. Do admire the way he's refusing to use the injuries as an excuse as previous managers of ours loved to do. Fingers crossed the lads get a breather over the next two weeks and we can get Isak & Wilson back as well as having Bruno again after his ban. Tank looked empty today and sadly Bournemouth looked bang at it. The first goal the ball fell nicely for them (just like it did for Dortmund) and it does feel like absolutely nowt will drop for us at the minute as well as the injuries continuing with Almiron. The second goal however was absolutely shite defending whether you've got 11 players injured or not and incredibly disappointing to watch. The positive thing was the goal difference didn't take a heavy hammering cos I think a team with better finishers would have stuck 4+ past us there.
  3. A decent side would have absolutely leathered us today.
  4. Injuries or not, conceding from a set piece like that is fucking piss poor and pathetic. Not one of them reacted to that second ball, four men around Solanke. Crap.
  5. Sean now injured by the ball this is ridiculous
  6. Wouldn't have subbed Miley like. Interesting to see Parkinson though.
  7. So fucking spawny how that interception ran for him FFS.
  8. Surely that's tactical and not Hall with an injury?
  9. Agree with that. Reminded me a little bit of Kasami's goal for Fulham albeit Sarabia's was nearer the goal.
  10. Class result for us that & can't help but feel O'Neil deserves something to go his way for a change.
  11. That's an absolutely fucking unbelievable goal like. Fair fucking play
  12. Wolves 0-2 Spurs Arsenal 3-0 Burnley Palace 1-1 Everton Man United 2-1 Luton Bournemouth 1-2 Newcastle Villa 3-1 Fulham Brighton 2-0 Sheff United Liverpool 3-1 Brentford West Ham 2-1 Forest Chelsea 0-3 Man City

Thought he was a bit unlucky to be booked (looked like both players were fouling each other to me and went against him) and got to remember this is something like his 15th senior match playing away to Dortmund in the CL. Get the feeling Eddie wants to take his time with him and properly get him playing "our way" but the injuries are forcing his hand to put him in at the minute.
  14. Fingers crossed they limp past Luton at the weekend and then get a result against Galatasaray to keep the Dutch Doofus in a job til we play them on 2nd December.
  15. How do you know that? He's looked handy every time we've seen him so far & Howe clearly trusts him more than you'd typically trust a 17-year old lad. I'd sooner try him out against a lower end PL side than go with Ritchie who we know isn't quick enough or good enough. Don't mind him coming off the bench as an experienced head in certain situations like Saturday gone but I'd only be starting him if we had no other option.
  16. I can't either, but I'm sure no other team in the Prem has two senior central strikers who are made of biscuits in the way that we do. With Isak's issues last season and Wilson's for years on end, it's inevitable Gordon would end up filling in at times. The bit you'd not expect was a long termer to the bloke meant to fill in for Gordon on the left.
  17. Poor performance but we really should have been level with Joelinton's header. Bury that and we might then get the momentum to get a point or a win. Over the course of two games absolutely nowt dropped for us and always seemed to for them, think we were unlucky in the home tie and also there at times too. Just a bit overstretched and tired bodies. Get to Bournemouth and then wrap the buggers in cotton wool for a fortnight.

Surely he can't be any worse at set pieces than Trippier? He's got a great delivery on him.

    Kieran Trippier

Wolves and today have been genuinely pitiful performances. I'd love to say it's down to tiredness but we're talking simple passes and garbage set pieces when he's got as long as he likes to pick the cross out. I'm fuming with that second goal, such an amateur free kick.
  20. That's on Trippier for yet another crap first man set piece. Cheers Tripps.
  21. You'd think the amount of dough Fullkrug earns he'd get those railings sorted out. More gaps than the London Underground.
