Ah, never realised we were playing fucking women's netball today not footy. Fucking pathetic for that to be called a foul.
-
I can already tell this is going to be frustrating as hell, watching us give the ball away constantly and the ref blowing for every time a Leeds player throws himself to the floor.
-
That's shite by Thiaw. Could see all day long he was never making that tackle in time.
-
The softest pen you'll ever see, that, and yet we're told Chalobah's challenge was legal. Fucking cunts just make it up as they go along.

Another week and more things to like about our hero. The manager telling us he doesn't fancy playing on the right and an interview where he tells us he thinks he's actually not doing too badly at all. Wonder what's next from the Gordon PR machine? Some nice boyhood photos of him standing on the Kop, or perhaps him spitting on the Tyne Bridge?

In my mind "interim" is for a defined period of time e.g. til the end of the season whereas "caretaker" is more of a short term shop minder who takes the reins for a game or two while they get the next permanent manager in. But I agree that the media seem to be using them interchangeably to mean the same thing at the minute.

When he was talking about Forest and how he "didn't do anything wrong" but got put to train with the kids, he's conveniently skated over him being a shite, slow luxury player about 90-95% of the time he goes near a football pitch.
-
Agree with all of this apart from the wingers. I think there's some surgery needed there for sure. He doesn't seem to fancy Barnes to start games, Gordon has been poor for over a year, Elanga has had a shocking start & Murphy we all know is limited. There's a huge lack of technical quality in there (aside from Barnes' finishing) and it's stuck out like a sore thumb this year.
-
The best is when dozens of people reply to him with the Ned Flanders hula-ing down his trousers gif
-
Any guesses on who's next? Nuno seems precarious and a loss against Forest sees him get the bullet IMO. Slot making a total arse of the big spending season at the dippers. Parker could go at any time really. Cockney Rhyming Slang Name Tommy Frank at Spurs probably a couple of bad results from the tin tack. Palace manager seemingly raging at their board and not signed a new deal. Leicester and West Brom play tonight and they're both having a shitter of a season, could also see that Southampton guy potted soon. 2026 been a right laugh so far. Long may it continue.

If you read my first post, the comparison with AOB was more that if he doesn't start to show some basic technical skills the worst case is players just don't pass to him, not that he's as shit as AOB. I'm definitely not directly comparing them ability wise, more an example of an ultra fast winger who lacked technical skills. Largely agree with what you're saying, although Isak being a cunt or being at a different club doesn't tally with a complete drop off in the basics in my mind. Time will tell cos I think we've no choice but to persevere with him now, as I said I'd love to be proved otherwise but he's been so, so underwhelming this far I can't help but massively doubt it.
-
Shane Ferguson was a decent enough technician. AOB is the perfect comparison in this case because he was absolutely rapid and could probably catch pigeons, but had no touch or technical ability to speak of.
-
Just saw something flash up on my feed saying Liverpool will sack Slot this week surely not?
-
My worry is he's been largely incapable of the absolute basics so far, like controlling the ball and executing short passes with accuracy, never mind beating a man or getting a decent cross in. I don't see how you suddenly lose that moving from one Premier League club to another. The worst case eventually is we get what I like to call "Alan O'Brien syndrome", where he'll be in space with electric pace to burn, but nobody gives him the ball because they know how frustrating and wasteful he is. Someone said this a few posts back but him coming back into a team that's gradually starting to get some wins during a run of home games might be the kickstarter. Frankly, my expectations are so low for him at the minute I'd settle for some Almiron style performances where he grafts hard, is good defensively and is neat and tidy without providing any cutting edge before I worry about him contributing from an attacking sense. He's got time on his side and the fee means we've got no choice but to persevere with him, but I'm still not at all convinced he'll be any good. Hopefully I'm wrong.

It's a low bar when I said "best" period of his tenure it's the bit where he's not relying on three utterly shit relegated teams & Spurs to keep them in the division. Having gone through that, where he was a laughing stock and touted for the bullet weekly, you'd have thought they might now stick with him as they're at least in the mix for a top 6 finish. Hopefully they get an even bigger divvy in now but somehow I don't see it.
-
Weird timing on the Amorim one. He's been utter shite for most of his tenure and then after the best period he's put together he gets the bullet. What a waste of time. Can see them doing Carrick or someone as interim for a bit whilst they figure out who's next. Can see Southgate as we know Sir Jim loves British Beef.
-
He's by far our most effective and productive wide player and yet he's treated like third choice. Should be starting more games.
-
Rosenior has had a very impressive career so far, totally understand why he'd take the Chelsea job but it'll only end up in tears. All those years of graft building up his profile for what'll probably end up as a 9-15 month stint puppeteering whilst they make loads more mental signings. He just has to hope afterwards he can get a job at a normal PL/top 5 leagues club and get back on track.
-
yeah it will be. Suggests Elanga might be ready for some minutes then too otherwise he might have protected his RW option more.
-
Thought he did nowt of note today but can only recall one frustrating soft giveaway of possession, compared to Murphy on the opposite wing who was into double figures. Howe always seems to leave the winger you want hooked most on Murphy was the pits and Gordon was just there today.
-
Enzo goal & 3 bonus points for me too. After subs and bonuses going to be on 71pts which looks like it'll be a mega total for this week.
-
Back to back wins are huge, thought we grew into that nicely today. The main issue staring us in the face is the midfield not able to keep the ball or string passes together - I'm hoping he retains Miley in the side when Tino is back and sits Sandro down for a bit as he's just not right at the min.
-
Important win, thought we gradually grew into it and by the end played some nice stuff in fits and starts. The midfield can't string three passes together and we really need to fix that. Hopefully the answer is Tino back in at RB and Miley in there for a while. The back four and keeper were absolutely bob on from a defensive perspective and deserved the clean sheet. Other than the Hughes chance at the death of the first half Palace created absolutely nowt of note all day long.
