  1. Fucking hell, Real Madrid need to spend all of next week training how to defend crosses like. 3 headers now

I see RTG has deleted all the threads regarding our match today again it's like North Korea over there. Mags win and it's information blackout, never happened.
  3. Of course, I took out Watkins for Wissa because he hadn't scored for Villa all season. Mind that also allowed me to swap Eze for Saka which makes the whole thing worthwhile as a oner.
  4. Definitely belongs at this level like. His ball retention and awareness seems to have much improved since the early stages of last season. If he could add a few goals ala pre-season that'd be nice but for now I'm enjoying the fact he's growing into a really dependable player. Dependable will hopefully then turn into a difference-making in time which he has bags of on his side.

Love how he was getting fouled to fuck, shirt pulled aal owa and still blasted past his man and bulleted the header in.
  6. Sheff U in disarray and a certain Mr N. Warnock just walked out of a fine job well done up the road at Huddersfield. Hero's return at Bramall Lane for Uncle Neil?

    Sean Longstaff

Top class today and great to see him get a goal.

    Anthony Gordon

Proper wide man's performance today, a threat going to the byline and cutting inside and end product from both. Had the lad marking him on toast all afternoon.

    Sven Botman

Great header. Shades of Isak v Wolves (the one in the documentary opening titles). Monster at the back and incredible distribution. He's a top, top player.
  10. We're class. They are absolutely dump. The space being left even at 3 and 4 was ridiculous, can't believe they didn't try to shut up shop a bit more than they did.
  11. Absolutely fantastic today from start to finish. Three clean sheets on the belt and a goal glut at the end of it, great week overall.
  12. Palace 1-0 Fulham Luton 0-2 Wolves Man City 3-1 Forest Brentford 3-0 Everton Burnley 1-1 Man United Arsenal 2-2 Spurs Brighton 2-1 Bournemouth Chelsea 2-1 Villa Liverpool 3-1 West Ham Sheff United 0-2 Newcastle
  13. Darren Moore in the end. I think he's a perfectly decent Championship manager but is he really that much of an upgrade on Uncle Neil?
  14. Liverpool one down as well justhookittomyveins.gif
  15. Villa a goal down early on their Europa Connie League excursion at Legia.
  16. Sunday at 6.30pm imagine getting beat in that slot knowing you've got work in the morning.

He was good I thought. He needs to be in the side in the short term, he's dependable and puts in the yards.

    Nick Pope

cheers. I may have overreacted when pissed, who hasn't done it?
  19. The focus on him is bound to happen to some extent, he's the big signing of the summer and our main midfield addition. Don't agree with those writing him off like, that's just mental. It's not quite clicked for him yet but there's also been enough signs to show that he's clearly a very good player.
  20. Kinda the same pattern as his Brentford performance for me, pretty anonymous early on but grew into it and by the end was probably pick of the bunch.

    Dan Burn

10/10 for grit, determination, effort, crucial big headers at the back and leadership. 3/10 for his distribution Well in Dan, what a night for him that must have been.
  22. Don't want to put too much of a negative spin on a great result but I thought he was pretty poor tonight. Work to be done.
  23. Delighted with that result. Yes it was hairy at times and a team with better finishers might well have stuffed us but some of the blocks, tackles, saves by Pope and the shift that went in are things to be proud of. I'd like to think that now we've got 2 clean sheets on the belt and a slightly more favourable run of league games coming up that we will start to see some more attacking cohesion and chances created. We've built a wee platform and we need to start clicking in the final third a bit more and hopefully that starts at Bramall Lane. Delighted for the lads and in a way it should be a confidence booster that they've not played anywhere near their best as a team there but still managed to take a point from the San Siro on our first game back at the big table.
