  1. Yep. They've lost their two best players and replaced them with Kieran Richardson and Dejagah.
  2. Maybe there should be a new thread for travel plans, leaving this one for just the football. By being sensible and waiting for more info, the price is skyrocketing. Hopefully there can be at least 6k tickets for Brugge though.
  3. We should've got him, man. I'm refusing to watch this match.
  4. Loads of wildcards being used but tbh I'm starting to think towards it. Patterns are starting to emerge and the uncertainty of pre-season seems to be gone. Unfortunately, every great idea I have (Baines, Nolan, Kagawa) has already been taken by my brother. But if Man City concede today, I'm considering bringing in Baines for a City defender because I'm sick of them conceding.
  5. So everyone's booking before we hear anything about tickets? I already feel like I've missed out on good prices but because I don't have a season ticket there's too much uncertainty.
  6. He still could, the window has only been shut for 13 hours.
  7. The 2 at Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs are all better but at least we have a 3rd option. Spurs have Harry Kane and I don't think the other two have one at all - though perhaps Moses can get moved there. It doesn't justify not replacing Best but at least our club isn't alone in lacking depth.
  8. He may be useless virtually every day of his life, but at least he's a physical body.
  9. Surprised at the pessimism in here, mind. I'm as angry about our summer as just about anyone but even I know we'll be 6th, maybe 7th.
  10. Mentioned it in another thread but Arsenal & Spurs haven't strengthened either, so we're not losing ground. And our 3 strikers is actually more than Chelsea (Torres, Sturridge), Spurs (Adebayor, Defoe) and Liverpool (Racist, Borini). I'm still livid about our failure to push on and show ambition but as a Newcastle fan I guess I'm used to compartmentalisation.
  11. Everton weakening Brugge for us. Unnecessary but thanks Neil
  12. As bad as it's been for Newcastle, at least Spurs and Arsenal haven't got stronger. Considering we're unhappy with only 3 strikers, I wonder how Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool are feeling.
  13. 6th because we're still better than Everton and Liverpool. But with a bit of realistic ambition we could definitely have been looking upwards. Ah well.
  14. Dempsey at Spurs is a mismatch. Really weird. Essien to Real too.
  15. I'm seething that we've seen Raylor get a massive injury and STILL chose not to strengthen the squad. Absolutely mindless stuff.
  16. Was idiotic to not bring in players anyway, but to still not do it after Raylor's injury is moronic. Its almost like they dont want us to do well.
  17. Glad we have more time to sort out Brugge

  19. Ideally Brugge wouldn't be the 20th. So of course, watch it be the 20th.
  20. Ha, we're now worrying about NEXT summer? That is just golden. Well yeah, of course. I'm thinking medium-to-long term plans for the club, I don't think what I've said is untrue at all.
  21. I'm worried about next summer though. We'd already be struggling to avoid bids for Cabaye, Tiote and Ben Arfa but the lack of Champions League qualification will confirm it. Now I'm sure we'd get great money for them but that doesn't matter - as fans it'd be awful to lose that caliber of player. I fear we've already reached the peak
