  1. Its a nice pub tbf. Didnt realise it was even there until about a year ago.
  2. You've not been exiled very far
  3. I know Naismith has come in and wants to use his players which will be there next season and hes obviously under no obligation to play him but it does seem short-sighted to not give him any minutes. Especially in games when they're 6-0 up like. You'd think Hearts would want a decent relationship with Newcastle, given our trajectory, the likelihood of us having a lot more talent to send out on loan and their proximity to us. Send a youngun to Hibs next time.
  4. Its just the classic tactic of trying to take the pressure off the players by having all the attention on himself. Mourinho and Ferguson were masters of it - though they didnt look half as undignified as Allardyce.
  5. Co commentator is an absolute fool, who is it? Be a travesty if this Liverpool side get top 4. Blatant dive by the Peri-Peri Andy Carroll
  6. Would you want him? I know it sounds outrageous to say. He absolutely cannot press, which is a huge part of our game. Adapting to a new league at 36 would be difficult for anyone, even the world's greatest ever player. Admittedly, I haven't seen loads of him over the last year like.
  7. I know we're in absolutely no place to talk, but does Messi really have to go to Saudi? Like, what's the point? Do you need the money?
  8. Our form and us potentially finishing in the top 4 this season is an absolute game changer. To be well ahead of schedule, having broke the so called top 6 allowing us some financial parity and more leverage for commercial deals is massive. If we'd finished 7th and the likes of Spurs and Chelsea had good seasons, I dont think it would have been half as impactful. The importance of this season might well be looked back on for years to come.
  9. Lovely pass by Maddison. This Leicester team is full of talent like.
  10. Absolute delirium in that away end like. Unbelievable scenes scoring 5 away to Everton. We were really clinical, they were blunt. Thought Willock and Bruno were class. Back four quality too. Isak outrageous for Murphy's goal too. There's just so much to like about this team I really do want Everton to go down, but not for long. They're a proper club.
  11. I dont think Gordon will play. I think there's too much emotion there, especially given its his boyhood club. He'll be desperate to prove something and it could boil over. He doesnt epitomise playing the game not the occasion in the slightest.
  12. Think this will be tough. Theyll be up for it and with Onana, Doucoure and DCL returning/getting fitter I think it will be tough. Theyve only got Man City and Bournemouth on the final day at home. Hopefully as he brought of Isak, thatll mean he starts. Id rather give him a rest V Southampton at home. We need to stretch them I think. The Green kit scares me more than Everton themselves though. There can be some underplayed psychological aspects to an 'unlucky kit' I feel. Going to this, first away in over four years. Was counting last night and Ive been to 15 away games and seen a total of 2 wins (Bolton and WBA 5th place season). Pitiful record...
  13. Neither Porro nor Perisic have ever played as conventional full backs. It was tactical suicide like.
  14. A bird (the flying kind) took a particularly splattery shit on my face this morning. Supposed to be lucky isn't it? Howay the Lads
  15. Not his player and wont be there next season, its no surprise Naismith isnt giving him minutes.
  16. Theo Walcott, 2023's Graham Fenton
  17. Hope Danjuma doesnt play. Scored at the weekend. Can see him scoring against us based on nothing but a hunch.
  18. Then we're in with a shout for almost anyone thats been seriously linked. Dont think we'll be first choice, but we'll be in the conversation.
  19. Think who we'll go for and who we'll be able to attract depends almost entirely on whether we make the CL. Think we're looking at two different sets of targets. Think we can forget about the likes of Maddison and Rice if were not in the CL.
  20. Ah you've just reminded me of the brummie on there. Lord above that accent.
  21. Bring back the Three Legends I say
  22. Theres a plethora of football podcasts out there but I really struggle to find many that I really like all that much. Admittedly, I want something with at least a bit of craic but which is fairly insightful too. I refuse to listen to anything with that cunt Glendinning on, and it seems most journalists cant translate good writing to good oration, because a lot of them sound boring as fuck. POTT is prime example; Caulkin, Waugh or that new fella might well be good writers, but none of them are made to podcast. The only reason I ever listen to that one is for bits of insider information provided by Caulkin or Waugh whilst gritting my teeth through their woeful patter. Podcasts lose a crucial element when they're done online too, they're all way better when they're done in a studio where hosts/participants/guests can bounce off eachother, its so much more natural and that goes for any podcast, not just football ones - I'd guess the most successful ones are done when everyone is in the same room. The last thing I want to hear is some dullard drone on through their laptop mic - obviously that doesn't go for smaller podcasts where it might not be logistically possible and they're amateurs doing it for fun but thats not necessarily what we're talking about here. I still listen to the Football Ramble. It went way downhill for a bit with a new format but now they have Marcus Speller presenting it the majority of the time and its mostly the four originals plus a few others in various combinations. Its not everyones cup of tea but I still enjoy it after all these years. Wouldnt say it offers real insight though. Gave The Athletic Football podcast a bash the other week but I got annoyed at some prick they had on giving the betfair or whatever odds throughout, if I wanted to know what the bookmakers were offering Id listen to the fucking Racing Post podcast.
  23. Surely not. Way too big of a job given his experience.
