Why does that include a Bournemouth scout who just so happens to be Howe's nephew? I can understand him wanting his own man within recruitment. That would be fine, if he was one amongst many but we've yet to appoint any other senior staff like.

This week really is massive like. We've failed to nail our first choice targets clearly. Fine - its a difficult window to do business in and bringing in top level players to a side in the bottom three is a big ask. However, you'd hope there are backups. There are plenty of players out there who would improve this side and keep us up. Yes we'll have to overpay, but thats the fact of the matter. We're so weak at left back, centre half and centre midfield that there is a plethora of players that would improve us. The fact that Dummett is looking like first choice left back tells you all you need to know, its not like we're trying to improve on good players here - we just need players who are somewhat competent. We're trying to improve on players who aren't close to PL quality - not make a jump from good players to world class players. We can hope that they've identified targets and have a viable plan B. There really is no excuses for not getting a few through the door like, given how weak we are in certain areas.

The fact that he's got 3 goals this season in a Burnley side that play to his every strength says it all. Stop gap job like but sooner Wilson is back the better.

Couple of additions and we stay up like. Don't even think they have to be world class like. Get it done.

Honestly, this is one of the worst group of bottom four teams I've ever seen. End of January and Norwich, comfortably one of the shittest PL teams ever for the majority of the season are out of the relegation zone on -32 GD. Beggars belief. We're fucking shit but if one of Watford, Burnley or Norwich stays up ahead of us Howe wants immediately peddled and the owners have had an absolute nightmare.

More to the point we've got a manager with a track record of wasting money, his assistant, a fella that thought spending 40m on Joelinton was a coup and someone who had no experience within football until October negotiating the most important and difficult transfer window of the club's recent history. This, despite having from October to plan for it.
