I don't disagree, I was all for signing Wissa. It doesn't change the fact that it's been a disaster so far though. With Woltemade, we looked at a similar profile of striker all summer, so there's less leeway. The club were stuck in between a rock and a hard place admittedly. No excuses for Elanga though. Or Ramsay really.

So far: Ramsdale - 3: Brought in as backup and to provide competition for Pope. Isn't any competition because he can't save anything. Thiaw - 9: Best centre half this season, aside from the odd rick he's been quality Woltemade - 5: Good start. Way off it now. We don't seem to have a clue how to use him. Massive fee. Elanga - 2: Woeful so far. Big fee in a much needed position. No idea what we saw in him Ramsay - 3: Offered next to nothing. Seems like he might be better if we pressed lots. Repeatedly doesn't track runners. Doesn't look technical. Might have been decent for us 3 years ago, but not this side in transition. Wissa - 2: End of January and he has 1 PL goal (though not his fault he got injured), looks way off it, is 29 and we've spent a load on him. Ratings based on where we are at the time of posting. Hopefully by the end of the season we'll see improvements, but based on what we've seen so far, it's been horrific. 2/10 so far given what we needed and what we've spent.

Tommy Frank gone before they next play imo

Casemiro has been mostly shite for the past few years man. Been finished for some time.
-
Parish will be rubbing his hands together at the thought of selling one of their best players and a lower mid table finish.
-
The NUFC Da's well and truly jumping up and down because we have spent 35M on Oscar Bobb, who has made a whopping 11 appearances over the last two years.

Did the time when the CL was two group stages feel a bit tedious too? That was obviously more games, but I guess with more jeopardy. -

Upfront on his own is no good like. We targeted players like this all summer though. Sesko, Strand Larsen, Woltemade, Ekitike, Ramos. They'd all struggle in this team maybe with the exception of Ekitike, and there's no chance he would have as many goals as now. I thought he was brought in because Howe wanted to use him in a two? He looked better against Bournemouth up top with Wissa.

No dry Jan for our resident grammar king Rodney I see.

Not the right thread for you to be correcting people Rodders. Still reckon they're nailed on to finish rock bottom?
-
Always going to win today. Palace are fucked. Put of form, best players off, best manager they've away. Theyve thrown the towel in this season.
-
I know I'm sat watching it. Ekitike made it
-
Liverpool ahead. Ekitike (NUFC) Isak-esque for the goal. Great work down the left.

Frank will get the boot if they lose today

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Man City are looking at Anderson like. They're not looking at Tonali. -
He's bafflingly bad like. He can't really get any worse.

Newcastle United 0-2 Manchester City [LCSF 1st Leg] (13/01/25)
Doctor Zaius replied to Yorkie's topic in Football
Created enough chances to win the game. What more can Howe do? Wissa was diabolical. Has missed good chances in the last three games I've seen him play. Woltemades chance was ridiculous though. Cannot believe he hasn't shot. Switched off for their second but we were knackered. Thought Hall was the best player on the pitch. Joelinton and Ramsey had good games. Murphy was at his best too. In a two legged affair against City, when you've had a run of games you cannot afford to miss chances and that's what cost us. Two forward players need to have a look at themselves. -
Cannot believe he tried to hold the ball up, yards from goal. Fucking shoot man. Jesus Christ.
-
Not at fault for the second, but if he could kick we wouldn't have conceded possession in our own half. His kicking is diabolical and he makes a rick almost every other game. Needs replaced asap being honest.
