  1. Who the fuck wants a quick fix??? We had a quick fix last time round and this is where we are now! Move on!!! Keegan's legend status is on the ropes, and if he returns it will surely end in tears again, leaving his popularity with our fans in tatters.
  2. This makes for depressing reading at 9 am soon as I've walked into the office! ffs
  3. I agree with what you're saying. But what do you think these "deserters" are gaining out of being on here discussing things, venting, hoping, wishing etc.....? Reading Ian W's comments, I don't question his loyalty or "fan" status one bit, because I know its desperation talk. I don't know the bloke personally, but I'd wager my house on the fact that he will be following the game come saturday no matter what! edit: just realized it was Decky, in which case I agree fully with you Nixon. @Decky: fuck off and support Man U
  4. It's not like we'll have a choice in the matter. People are just looking for a silver lining. Exactly what I mean I'm trying to look on the bright side of a s**** situation here. Do I want us to go down? No! Would I be happy with those 3 options if we did go down? Yes! It's all out of our hands at the end of the day, but Ashley is not the future I want at this club! Ashley is not the future I want for this club, but then neither is Kevin fucking Keegan!! If we go down, we need a fresh start ffs!
  5. I was a bit like that for the Arsenal game, I just didn't want to watch the inevitable defeat. You know it's bad when fans are getting to this stage. I know Watched the Pompey-Everton, then Fulham-Man U at my parents', then just switched off the telly and went back to my flat just before kick-off. I was kicking myself when the radio commentary switched to SJP for Oba's penalty. Then I was kicking myself when Oba equalised. Then I was kicking my dog when Dia..... meh
  6. The 'on paper' quality of our players could well play a part in our downfall, ironically. As I said in another thread, these players know they can get a transfer to a decent club. They've no massive incentive to fight, so why bother? FML
  7. Surely our main strength is that we have a more than decent playing roster on paper. Our squad is full of internationals (or past internationals) who have the experience of playing top level football. We're just not applying ourselves as well as we should be, which is down to mis-management.
  8. I'm hoping that the return to fitness of Guthrie and Barton will be key
  9. Roy of the magpies surely!?? The man has worked everywhere, and has one of the most impressive CV's in the league. Worked for Inter, so must be familiar with the whole DOF system. His knowledge of football and tactics is absolutely immense, and he has Fulham playing with spirit, pride and most importantly his players play for him and each other. He's made some inspired signings in AJ and Etuhu, and he's even got Bobby Zamora playing well!! Obviously the result against Man Utd. has been a sweet cherry on top, but looking at their stats.....well, they've done pretty damn well this season, and can build on this. What I'd give to have in charge an intelligent and experienced manager with guts! Never seen the fucker smile. I like managers who never smile, and on that basis alone I'd give him the job. Forget Bruce, Hodgson's our man
  10. What? No Haris Vukcic? No James Tavernier? Two of the more promising fellas by all accounts? I dunno I expected more from Jonny Godsmark for some reason. His name is fucking cool. I voted for Tim Krul personally, and would like to see him, Kadar, LuaLua and Ranger come through. Inman's a bit young for now, but hopefully he'll develop into a cracking little player.
  11. always thought it referred to a snatch tbh
  12. Aye, on a par with Beye's best this season. I'd say he's been slightly more valuable than Habib simply because of his crucial goals. Yeah, but Beye's season has been stop-start in terms of both short and long term injuries. Agree with Ronaldo that our best back 4 is Beye Coloccini Bassong Enrique No arguments there at all. Just giving Taylor the credit for his decent run at RB
  13. Aye, on a par with Beye's best this season. I'd say he's been slightly more valuable than Habib simply because of his crucial goals.
  14. Yup. Had a decent chat with him all those yrs ago when he played for Rangers. Absolutely loves NUFC (not). Good craic. Pinched my arse though! the cheeky git
  15. Nonsense he has been consistently dreadful all season I've heard people continuously excuse him despite him costing our team what is a quite staggering amount of goals. Surely his performance against Liverpool still sticks in people's minds no...? that 1 v 5 lost was unbearable I've been disgusted by performances at St James Park before but never have I been more disgusted at such a gutless and dismal performance in a Black and White shirt before as Coloccini put in that day at fault for the 2nd goal, 3rd and for the 4th he should of been hurled off for alone. Quite staggering really the amount of goals he has cost us this season here just few off of that long list - - Stoke Home 1st goal at fault turned and out paced by Ricardo Fuller... Bolton Away at fault for the only goal failed to spot the danger and come across to defend the ball in left Gardner completely free... Sunderland Home 1st goal far to deep then decided to try and play Cisse offside clueless idiot... West Brom Home at fault for 1st goal pulled to pieces by Ismeal Miller... Everton Away failed to mark his zone on the areal ball to let Falliani free to score... Fulham Away at fault for the second goal his reckless lunging tackle on Johnson gave away a easily preventable penalty... West Ham Away 1st goal at fault completely lost Craig Bellamy run I'll let him off the 2nd although arguably his fault also.. Blackburn Home dreadful marking on Santa Cruz for the second headed goal... Hull City Home at fault second goal turned by Marlon bloody King... Manchester United Home at fault for 1st goal far too tight on Wayne Rooney... West Ham Away at fault for third goal cowardly turned his back on Di Michele shot... and that isn't even all of them.................. For me his performances away at Chelsea, Boro and Manchester United were possible his only decent or good (if your kind) performances all season and at £10 million that's not good enough. Quite rightly ousted from the Argentinian National Squad in recent months... Cannot stand the bloke.. What a load of nonsensical bollocks. By that token, it's every player on the pitch who does not produce a magnificent individual effort that you should single out. How about singling out every one of our strikers for not going on solo runs to smash home 5 or 6 goals per game? It's a f***ing team game in case you haven't noticed. I could also say Given is useless for not saving those chances that "Coloccini cost us". Bullshit. But when you have an agenda, I suppose you would go to great lengths to type out every incident (in this case goals conceded) to make a point.
  16. Hull manager Phil Brown has been fined £2,500 and warned as to his future conduct by the Football Association. The charge relates to a touchline confrontation at Newcastle on January 14. t*** edit: source - BBC
  17. The bear did eventually admit to wiping his ass with the rabbit though
  18. What the f***? Yep, I can't stand him anymore. I tryed to defend him after the first match (even because of the 11 millions we paid for him...), but now it's more than enough. He's a disaster, and he's contributing pretty much to our poor displaying. I'd rather like to see an Academy kid in his place, hoping that someone's going to take him off our squad next summer. Alright Vic?
