This does my head in a lot more than our shit defending. We all know our defenders aren't very good, and i'm sure the midfielders and forwards know that too. So to continuously lose the ball unnecessarily in midfield is extremely irritating, and in matches like last night, is what leads to us crumbling rather than the bad defending itself.

As luxury as a luxury player can get.

Personally I would have hooked him at HT, put Colback LB, and pushed Aarons to play on the left with Townsend switching to the right. He really can't keep getting away with miserable performances. He's the only player we have who is almost certain to be at the Euros this summer, and he simply HAS to feel that his place in that french squad is under threat, otherwise he'll just not perform. Awful attitude.

On this evidence it's quite conclusive that it isn't the formation or line-up at away games that's the problem, but the mentality and possibly the match preparation. Once the match has started, he clearly has no idea how to change it. A top manager would have spotted the amount of space the likes of Willian and Fabregas were getting in the middle and countered it immediately after going 2 goals behind in such a short space of time.
-
It was clearly just to give him a run out and avoid any risks to Mitro's knee.
-
If you were to imagine a goal by him, that was it. Pretty good in fairness. That's a very accurate description.
-
This cunt has been woeful since the window closed, and really needs to get his finger out. Rapidly starting to hate him tbh.
-
Yup. It was pretty obvious from his pre-match interview that we were going into this game shitting in our shorts. Disgraceful lack of character and leadership. Lovely guy but needs fucked off ASAP. Appoint someone with a personality before heading out to the sunshine and give him time to have a proper look at the squad. Won't happen obviously.

Had him on the bench for 4 of those

Got it. Cheers

So Juve made nearly 30m more than Barca despite not winning it? Also wtf is up with Monaco making that much?
-
Tino ffs The very definition of legend.

Nike with 'Just do it' is far more fitting tbh. Better off with UnderA. tbh

Plays a half of football, does some dribbles, and he's suddenly Michael fucking Jordan. Seriously fuck off
-
That's lame as fuck. Possibly even lamer than the celebration itself.

In hindsight Lennon was probably right to cut that verse...
-
Maybe. It's all ifs and buts (pun intended), and he might have fired us up the league after getting an injection of motivation to play for a new club etc... we can never really know. He was massively disappointing in that half though, and even though you can't judge a player based one on isolated half of football, it's just my gut feeling that we dodged a bullet in the context of it being January, and us desperately needing goals to stay up. Long term though aye, he's the kind of player we should be aiming to buy outright and not fuck about.
-
Obviously not, but I mean he might not have had the explosive impact we needed to help us avoid the drop between now and May. If he had given us that performance on his home debut, I'd say for 20 odd million, most would have been massively underwhelmed. There's no doubting he's a very talented striker, but maybe things worked out in our favor not getting him in January.
-
Thank fuck Jeremy Peace is one deluded prick and we "missed out" on Berahino. Imagine if we'd got him for a record fee only for him to turn out for us with a fat ass against his old side.
-
Then we got Shola
-
A proper football outfit would have booted Harper out and kept the pair of them. Fair play to Forster for having ambition though. He's maturing into a very good PL GK.
-
Probably Klopp's first YNWAJFT96. moment giving this joker a new contract of that length. He's a very average keeper who in his time at Liverpool has even regressed. It could well be that he's merely securing Mignolet as their sub keeper while he goes out and brings in a top class performer in the summer for the number 1 spot. Can see Forster going there if he carries on in this vein.
-
Could quite possibly be moment of the season for us.

that's brilliant
