What is the atmosphere like in SJP at matches this season? The Corner still the main source of noise? -
Aye, never understood this 'Newcastle have won fuck all' and comparing them to Leeds as if LUFC won trophy after trophy back in the day. People forget that Leeds have done absolutely nothing in the past 15 years, absolutely nothing. Yeah, they've got a good history and certainly their away following is one of the better ones in the country but I'm certainly not envious of them- past or present. I'd take a draw here tbh. Away from home, Elland Road will be absolutely baying for a win- arguably their biggest home league match since their PL days. They're on a roll but we have also won 7 in a row in the league I'll go 2-1 to us. Gonna be buzzing/nervous come kick off though. I know too many Leeds fans to face losing tbh.

Nightmare of a weekend. Only bet I won was £25 inplay on Brechin City @ 8/13 Had £100 on Gava (@7/4) to beat Llagostera in Spanish Division III; Llagostera hadn't won away from home for nearly 3 seasons before today :| £25 on Hadjuk Split Win + 2.5goals, Sporting/Tondela +2.5goals, Porto/Arouca +2.5goals......Sporting/Tondela drew 1-1 to let me down  Finally, had a 5er on 6 teams yesterday returning £175. Wycombe lose 0-2 at home to Bury

Fair point. Hopefully once The Corner establishes itself as the singing section of the ground it will gain more attention and followers, and it will naturally expand to areas of the Gallowgate. Can't for the life of me understand how people go to a match to sit down and not sing. -
Lose to Bournemouth at home and Selhurst will melt It'll be interesting to see if their 'Ultras' get to the point where they make an anti-Pardew display, calling for him to go. No doubt by that stage the media will look upon Palace with pity and gently come to the conclusion that 'maybe it's just gone a bit stale for Pardew at Palace and he needs a change', or some utter cumstain of an excuse like that. Looking forward to Palace languishing 19th come November and the Beeb or Sky publishing an article titled 'Is this really Pardew's fault, or was Bolasie more important than we thought?'

Agreed. SJP is so quiet these days its sad. Wish I still went.

Had Leicester, Toon, City -1 yesterday :'( Have Man Utd, PSV, Marseille, Nice today. I was convinced this season was going to be class, but I'm still fucking shit at it

Also, Rafa must get Gamez in for Dummet for Reading. It's inexcusable to keep that shitebag in the team, he just hampers us in every phase of the game. Personally, I think we'd have a good shout to play a 3-5-2: -----------------------Sels----------------- ------Lascelles------Chancel-----Clark/Hanley------- -----------------------Anita------------------------- Janmaat------Diame--------Shelvey------Ritchie ------------------Gayle-----Mitrovic------------ It will never happen as Rafa loves his 4-2-3-1, but I think we'd be less exposed and gives us a striker partnership. Think one up top will see us struggle in this league.

I don't think you can blame people for venting frustration after yesterday. To lose in the manner that we did is incredibly disappointing, and perhaps it is a reality check to how this season will be....but we are coming off the back of what was a torrid, embarrassing season. People just want to see the club winning again, and the fact is that these players should be beating the likes of Huddersfield at home. I love Rafa, but the way he normally sets teams up is more conservative than attack-minded. If we score first in games this season I think we'll be fine, but if we concede first results like Fulham and Huddersfield will become more frequent. The season is still young, and we will pick up at some stage, but we won't run away with it like we did under CH.

Draw. Take the lead and the give it away late on with a counter attack goal against us.

Either side.

People on here seem pretty chuffed that we got a 0-1 loss anyway
