  1. Yes, I'm an outsider so that 'limits' my view but... 1) Selling half of your best players - I got the impression it was imperative the wage bill was reduced? Regardless, why would Owen, Martins and Viduka etc stay in the Championship? Obsolete point surely. 2) How did he get you relegated? 3) The impression I get is he gets a lot of criticism and most is justified. But if we're looking at it from the other point of view, shouldn't he be open to praise for good things, i.e. the debt he's wiped.
  2. Wow, amazing price! Who's that with mate? Saw it in Ladbrokes (Bigg Market) they have board with "Rooney specials" with him doing the above in singles, doubles & the treble. I am effing getting on that.
  3. Are there any good ones out there anymore? Some of the stuff Southgate came out with tonight was truly woeful.
  4. Resisted the urge to bet tonight, going to keep my pennies to lose at the weekend.
  5. Juventus were lovely to watch in the first 30 minutes, though that was more down to Fulham not really turning up. 3-1 is about right at the moment.
  6. 1. Scholes 2. Lampard 3. Beckham 4. Gerrard
  7. The message isn't so much hidden as it is hopelessly incomprehensible.
  8. Throw out all your Futureheads CDs and Peter Kay DVDs. This is the way forward I think - symbolic hoying of stuff with remind you not to bet on their match again. Would an imminent trip to the bathroom for a number 2 satisfy that theory for Bayern flipping Munich?
  9. I guess words can't describe how annoyed you are at them? Got no way to tell now. I know. That was the joke.

  11. I'm blaming The Prophet for talking about Bayern to me, and I'm blaming myself for being stupid enough to listen.
  12. It's Darlo, so I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.
  13. Sunderland look like a side who can't buy a win at the moment. Last year iirc they won once from February till the end of the season. However back then they had gone on a good run beforehand and had a big enough gap to defend. I keep thinking, along with most, that they'll "pick up a couple of results here and there". But when does that mentality stop and an actual real onset of relegation become apparent? They've failed to beat Fulham, Wigan and Stoke at home, and their away form speaks for itself. I guess a lot will be revealed tomorrow night. Bold bit reminds me of something. Aye, it's been said quite a bit I've found. But yeah, people say they have an easy-ish run-in but I mean, those 2 away games at Hull and Wolves - I sure as hell can't see them winning either of them, I don't know about others.
  14. Spurs or Villa, no real preference as to who. Just as long as they actually got into the group stages proper.

  16. I wish I could rule them out with such ease. There's something about the twats that means they are still in with a good shout. By their standards, they haven't had many refereeing decisions lately. Gerrard's running out of time for Swan Lake Vol. 126.
  17. Forgot to post, but stuck a couple of quid on Liverpool draw, Colchester draw, and Valencia to win. Possible atm but not entirely likely.
  18. Villa can be frustrating to watch/play against (although it's usually open games between us personally). When watching them, at times it's as though they're refusing to really get at a team. Seems to be working well enough. I have a feeling they'll fade a bit over the last 8 weeks however.
  19. Fair enough. You probably came across more apathetic than you are. What's going on at the moment? Are players getting tired/complacent?
  20. He doesn't strike me as the type who would sit on the bench for a few seasons, though. I can see him getting above his station and demanding a move if he's whacked on the bench all next season.
  21. I never said you didn't want to win it - I'm surprised you "wouldn't really complain" if you didn't win the title. Sounds rather an apathetic attitude to take.
  22. You wouldn't be bothered if you didn't win the title? Eh?
