  1. Still think he'll end up being our main striker in the long term. This feels like a temporary fix that works for all parties.
  2. To be fair, we'll win regardless. Bring on the glamour tie.
  3. Chelsea would just feel a bit meh. Plus we usually shit the bed at the Bridge.
  4. I agree and disagree. I think there's very little to be read into tonight, it was basically a pre-sesson friendly after six minutes. I do agree Everton is a massive test though. They're awkward to break down and generally handy on the road. It's exactly the type of fixture we've struggled with over the last eighteen months.
  5. He might as well have had his slippers on and pipe in mind.
  6. Not at his best, but created two big chances. His turn to get the spotlight from the usual suspects unfortunately.
  7. Might still not be 100%. He's playing out of necessity.
  8. To be expected really. I'd rather that than us play with any kind of intensity.
  9. Botman's playing out of necessity, probably back on the bench at the weekend.
  10. How did this lot look so competitive in the group stages?
  11. Absolutely delighted our game v Everton isn't on the box.
  12. This ref has had nothing to do and still been awful.

In an ideal world both move on, but if Tonali asks to leave, it seems unlikely.

    Joe Willock

Out of interest, would anyone keep him and instead cash in on Joelinton?

The fine margins have often fallen in the opposition's favour this sesson. One of the reasons is that neither of our goal keepers have covered themselves in glory. It's hugely important that we address it in the summer.
  16. That said, I don't think it's cost cutting, it was the plan from the start. Once these are sold, they were going to buy another four clubs.
  17. "According to Saudi Arabian journalist Ahmen Al-Ajlan, PIF is planning to sell all four Saudi Pro League clubs in its portfolio-Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, and Al-Hilal-as part of a broader strategy to reduce expenditure. Since an exorbitant amount of money has been spent by PIF in the last couple of years to uplift the stature of the Saudi Pro League, the time has apparently come to take a step back. Having done its bit, PIF is reportedly looking to reduce its spending. It owns 75% of these four clubs, and the remaining share rests with the Saudi Ministry of Sport. By putting these clubs up for sale, PIF may want to open investment opportunities for independent organisations, a move that could bring a fresh influx of funds, which could further enhance the quality of the league. As per The Express, Al-Hilal appear to be generating quite a buzz among the potential buyers. The club harbours an impressive squad, as the likes of Darwin Nunez, Joao Cancelo, and Theo Hernandez are all part of the side. The report further states that billionaire Prince Al Waleed bin Talal is currently the frontrunner to acquire the club. However, he is facing stiff competition from Prince Abdullah bin Mossad, the former Sheffield United owner."
  18. I've pushed the kids harder on the swings than the contact Gabriel gets. Game owa now anyway.
