Got the standard "you can't cancel but if the direct debit has been stopped there's nothing we can do" email this morning, as did my friend who cancelled. Wor lad's had nowt yet despite us all emailing at around the same time (and the two emails we got are different.. you'd think they'd have a template by now).
-
Class to hear that atmosphere at Bournemouth.
-
Bet you now I get fuck all back and the two people I've just mentioned it to are both successful.
-
Shy bairns get nowt, might pop into the bank and give it a go.
-
There were aspects of all 3 for me and I've finally packed it in.
-
Class. Might try it. Never done a claim before though, was it straightforward enough? Did you have to give a reason?
-
Might send Shearer round with it. Don't answer your door unless you're expecting anyone.

I've been going to Northern League matches when we've been away or in a stupid fixture slot for the last few years now. Happy to continue doing the same and will also visit some other grounds I've not been to as well next season.

Cancelled. Better make a start on next season's Ikea shopping list.

That's utter bollocks. There's thousands of football fans all over the country who love going to watch their football club and have done since they were small children. It's in their blood and despite how bad things get simply cannot stop doing it. Yeah, they're sheep with no self respect and you're one of them. No we're not. We're people who've grown up loving their football and supporting their football club whether they're good or bad. It's a hobby that we all enjoy. Good or bad doesn't even come into it, man. As others have pointed out, we've been shite for most of our history. This is about someone taking away the things you love about the club, the things that made you want to go to the match in the first place. After being on the verge for ages, it took us scoring the first goal to make me decide to cancel my season ticket. No emotion whatsoever. I'm completely out of love with it and I have been for a long time, but stupid as it sounds that was the final straw. Next season I'll mostly be going to Northern League matches.

I'll probably cry my eyes out for an hour then get over it.
-
Cancelling mine in the morning +2 (possibly 3) My 49 loyalty points will never become 50. The bloke who started the ticket before it transferred to me killed himself a year or so ago and I feel awful but I'm definitely ready to jack it in. Started in 2001, enjoyed the good times.

So did I. Going today and joining in with the protest.

Came in to post the same thing. I heard my phone go at 6am again and knew what it'd be.
-
I've had several too including one at 6am today.

I've not missed a home game this season, even when I've really not felt like going. It has certainly become all about the day out for me, so I'm choosing to join in the boycott and will spend the day with my matchday friends anyway, who are also boycotting.

What a fucking arsehole.

Same, I can only ever remember a handful of games from each season at the most and only if something memorable has happened. I look at people like they're Rain Man when they can remember scores from years ago with little effort.
-
I'd genuinely forgotten this was taking place tonight until I saw it on my calendar an hour or two ago. I'd have been happily settling down to catch up with Masterchef or something, now I'll end up having a shit evening.

Rocky Creek Spring Heeled The Rainbow Hunter My donkeys for the day.

I like Pete and appreciate his stance but I struggle to listen to bits about us on the Ramble when we've been shit, which is often. Usually end up just skipping through discussion of our matches.

Too lazy to type it again. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,75065.msg2831008.html#msg2831008 Of course it might not have been that one at all. Wish I could actually remember or find out for sure.
