Not saying it won't be legit - just that I'd say it's a bit pointless buying on a site like that this early.

Would personally be amazed if it works out for him here. Other than the odd flick he's basically been dreadful for months. The inability to ever look like he can shoot the ball with power towards goal really is the biggest issue above all else.

We lost all forward momentum and pace in behind that was actually scaring them when he and Gordon went off for Murphy/Osula for the last 15 minutes. Might as well have put up the white flag at that point. But it's criminal the lack output at the moment given what we spent.

He's scored 11 out of 12 of pens he's taken for us.

I'm not convinced by him but getting him deeper for a little bit is probably the right idea to take some of the pressure off him and get him more involved in games. We also need that creativity and assuredness with the ball with Bruno out.

Top class strikers are are in short supply, hard to sign, and very expensive. It's a position where you're not really in a position to be picky in terms of style. You try to get the best you can from a very small pool. There's also the fact that we had to try and save some face and signing high profile to replace Isak. It's why we have ended up with Woltemade, a highly rated player and full international for a top international side, but a bad fit for our current team (IMO). But I'm not sure we had many other options once we had failed on so many other targets.

Previously playing Gordon through the middle has blunted us, because we were trying to play as if he was replacing Isak directly. Now it seems to have actually helped lift some of the pressure on relying on a out right CF and made us more flexible and dynamic. At least as a temporary fix it has helped.

Personally think he's easily our best all-round attacker post-Isak, certainly a better player than Barnes (who I still quite like), and some of the critique has been way over the top. That said his output should be much better in the league. Think selling him would reinforce a horrible precedent even if we got huge money.

Also I think you have to credit us with playing really well. We've had a lot to complain about this season at times but we were genuinely really good yesterday and fully punished the difference in class.

Think it wouldn't be as bad if they approached games as if they were an underdog and made it tight and difficult. When you have a team that is used to winning domestically it's probably hard to approach a game like today. It's like if a lower champ or high League One side came flying out against us. It would just never happen. Think you have to give them credit for getting the results they've got this season all things being told. And it's still for the betterment of the CL to have such a geographical spread of representation IMO, regardless of quality.

Not all his fault but been such a poor signing so far. Given the age profile and cost probably our worst of the summer.
