not so surprising when you consider they're stadium holds over 69k and its average is near full. Not really tbh. They had a modest Champions League campaign, which is the big money-spinner ordinarily. Also the German league isn't exactly one of the most lucrative as far as I know and I wouldn't have thought they match the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool in terms of worldwide merchandising revenue. I suppose they were 4th in the list last year as well, but I was just surprised to see them there for some reason. Am I right in saying that teams negotiate their own individual TV rights in Germany? I suppose that makes a significant difference.

Very surprised to see Bayern Munich in 4th place.

Enrique's still out injured mate. I know I was cracking a shite joke here as usual, but is the complete lack of questioning of this team proof that nobody actually reads each others teams on these threads? Given the amount of posts all "YOU HAVE HIM THEREZ? NO WAIII, CHANGE THAT FOR THIS GUY TBH?!?!!!" in these threads I think people read them, your joke just wasn't that good. Yep, spot on. I've read this team as well and thought about quoting it but in the end thought "nah... it isn't that funny, is it?" Areet man, message understood FFS. -

A good point well made, I just thought I was on to something. -

Unfortunately I'd keel over. If I can arrange to come back to Newcastle around that time then I'd be up for a drink afterwards. -
Should we get promoted who could we realistically get as manager in 2010/2011?

So are you Algerian, American, or Slovenian? So in Nigeria news, Sven is in the country right now. Apparently he's on the shortlist which includes Glen Hoddle. I forget, didn't Hoddle lose his mind when he was manager of England? Let's just hope his ideas about disabled people and their previous lives doesn't extend to people living in abject poverty. Basically he lost his mind, yeah. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glenn_Hoddle#Dismissal_from_England_job

David Moyes looks especially insane this evening.

That's pretty smart stuff for a dog tbh, i.e. the news is easily thread-worthy.

I've got it on me laptop with the sound down - the lack of Clive is pure bliss. Is your lass watching property porn (Relocation, Relocation) as well? Yes!

A quid on Drogba first goal and Chelsea 3-1 (105/1), and a quid on Eto'o first goal and 1-1 (30/1).

She's in a pretty successful pop group - that's more of a career than a lot of them.

This would be the sensible choice alright. Therefore I went for 8 teams - Benfica, Barcelona, Man U, Norwich, Swindon, Colchester, Rochdale, Bury. If the Colchester match is off I suppose it's a 7-way then.

As a Newcastle fan with a Geordie accent I find that hugely embarrassing and completely wrong. I hope you appreciate that this likely goes for the vast, vast majority of us.

I thought Man Utd v Ipswich in 94/95 might have been close, was 11-3 in the end though. They went 11-1 against Forest in 98/99 aswell. I was also sad enough to check this. Also Man U beat us 11-1 on aggregate in 07/08.
