I wasn't there today but have been to about two thirds of the home games this season. Generally I think the atmosphere is pretty good these days but there's a definite "fairweather" aspect to it. The place is bouncing when things are going well and the players feed off it but when there's a lull then the crowd go missing and need something to lift them. I don't know what the answer is but it seemed to me tonight that the players really could have done with a lift from the crowd those last ten minutes. I know teams like Man City can suck the life out of you but when the team are giving everything and experiencing adversity then the nervous energy from the stands probably doesn't help.

It sums you up Branko, you heard him.

Massively. If we had 2 or 3 front 6 players on the bench we'd have won that game. Every time we went forward first half we were threatening, the team flagged second half as the capacity to change personnel once again wasn't there. We were against the top club side in the world as they're hitting their top form and made them look toothless and vulnerable for long periods. There were way more positives than negatives to take from today.

Well that's deeply fucking concerning.

Can you stop posting this fucking drivel for us all to read and go sleep the booze off pls, thx.

Appears to have an answer.

Commentators wanking themselves silly over Man City passing the ball about, meanwhile every time we've attacked we've looked dangerous.

Oh good, this again.

Disgraceful non-decision.

Absolutely boring as fuck, this lot. Again.

Yeah I agree - the figure should be being increased to be fair to the likes of Villa and us, but just saying that's how it would be justified imo. That it sends the wrong message out to clubs in the old Leeds bracket and makes them more likely to get in trouble. The whole thing was outdated and overly simplistic the moment it was introduced. Like I say it's like they've just looked at what Man City have done and put rules in place to make it impossible that it happens again. The very definition of pulling the ladder up.

It you take it back to its apparent main use case, then the maximum loss not being increased can be justified. Just because transfer fees increase doesn't mean you should be encouraging clubs to spend further beyond their means and getting in trouble, if they don't have the money. Unfortunately there is no distinction made between clubs whose owners have the money and can invest, and those who don't have it and would spend irresponsibly. It's clearly by design though, and completely stinks. They've looked at Man City and Chelsea and went "we don't want another one of those" privately, and "we don't want another Portsmouth or Leeds" publicly.

Anelka is a great shout. Fired Arsenal to the Double when he was 18/19, looked incredible.

I like that, I'll have a go. Benrahma being linked with Brentford and others. A year and a half younger than Miggy, but has less Premier League pedigree and hasn't recently helped his side into the UCL either. Has barely played this season. Rumoured £20m fee. Miggy's not worth £10m though.

Year-on-year revenue increase of 39% is some going like

Take this in the spirit it's meant brummie, but I've realised I feel the same way about you as I do Alan Partridge. One of my absolute favourites but I think I prefer the depressed version. Edit - hmm safety smiley required? I'm being bawdy Lynn, enjoy it. Sorry
