It's a hard one this, would usually say cup but we've got a manager that's hopefully here to build something now so I'd say promotion.

Fucking hell mate, hope everything's areet.

Weah, Shearer, Baggio, Batistuta et al... Ronaldo was significantly better than all of them.
-
Ronaldo absolutely was the standout talent of his day.
-
@domhowson fucking alright for some int it retire at 24 how much were we paying the tit
-
Might play a part but it doesn't explain why when he does have loads of space he often makes the wrong choice when he used to always seem to make the right one. Even against QPR where he was generally good there was the odd time he should have released the ball but chose to find a defender to run into with the ball instead.
-
"Pulis on the feats of Rondon" would be a good headline for an article where Pulis is waxing lyrical about Rondon.
-
The weird thing is in his first six months imo his stand out quality was his intelligence on the ball, rarely losing it and almost always playing a positive pass that built up the attack. He's developed a tendency of running into brick walls and letting the ball bounce off him, hopefully that first six months wasn't an uncharacteristic purple patch and he can get back to the same sort of player he was.

Leicester won the Premier League last season tbf

Think he'll accept some of the blame for today, especially for not changing things second half, but it really didn't sound like the players were at the races whatsoever today.

Yeah, I was way off thinking we'd win 10-0 today. -

Manically ? I know what you mean but it wasn't manic, it was calm and the natural way of power over something weaker. I only listened to it and caught highlights but it sounded like we kept going, no showboating at 3 up, relentless. To keep concentration like that is what seperates the good teams from the teams with good players. All is pointing up right now. Fucking hell, I was at the match and you were listening to it on the radio and you still know better. Typical madras

This thread really separates the mackem haters and the mackem sympathisers imo.

He's from Killingworth or summit, so probably not
-
Imagine him saying that in his post-match interview.

We were still manically chasing goals until the last few minutes. Reckon Benitez wanted them to calm the fuck down when he took off a striker but they were enjoying themselves too much and kept cutting them open Honestly never seen owt like it in the flesh, it was a merciless battering from the first minute to the last.
-
Not been mentioned on here that there were "USA USA USA" chants from the away end when this lad won a corner?
-
They watched the last 15 minutes of Requiem For A Dream. Swear to fucking God that Requiem For A Dream DVD must be nearly fucked the amount of times we've watched it at HT. Just the 5 times I made that joke then.

Was trying to think of other hammerings I'd been to and remembered I was at the 8-0 versus Sheff Wed but that was a home game. This really was something else. Utterly dominant in every area of the pitch, from start to finish. First time I've seen us live this season and was obviously hugely impressed. Having competition for places and a meticulous manager has the club vibrant, efficient and serious. Exciting times.
