  1. Cole as a goal scorer, Ferdinand as an all-round forward.
  2. It was a shite bit of wordplay man, everybody calm the fuck doon.
  3. Fair play for getting away with that comment, i'd probably have an IP ban on me by now Ahhhh, if only I had the power.
  4. wow we beat Crystal palace Soz like, dawg. Dawg knew the craic.
  5. The ones who want him sacked probably don't base their opinion on a 4 game win streak or a 4 game loss streak. Same with those who think he's the best thing since Bobby Robson. It's not about thinking he is, results wise etc. he demonstrably and indisputably is, according to the last NUFC managers table I saw. Means nowt though given the other options (a hastily binned off Hughts aside - let's not go down that road, it's dull as fuck) were and are utter shite. And mostly had far worse squads.
  6. All managers are criticised, expect that. I just think there's no line with some on here. It's a bit full on. Like saying if we get beat of Sunderland again coming up, it's his fault. Getting the blame for the defeat when we are weeks away. They aren't saying if we win it will be down to him? Utter bollocks Brett and you know it. He got plenty of praise for the results, especially Man Utd away. You even tried to imply that i was being turned by him, so are you forgetting saying that to me and others i noticed you've mentioned things like that too. You were close, Bimps. So close. A win at Arsenal and you were in his back pocket. Fair enough people do say and praise him when things are going well, i'll admit i went to extreme by saying only players get praisal. But it's the extreme lengths which things change, this board was looking at how many points off top we were before Arsenal, sure couple of posters bet on us winning the league, then things haven't quite worked out since Arsenal and suddenly there's been arguements this week if should be hauled in to the boardroom and fired by Ashley for his 3 straight losses and the football he serves up. Just think it's harsh. I won't stand for him getting the blame or the players for defeats when we haven't even kicked off yet. I said that before Man Utd when someone said we would get murdered, which i found harsh and i find this harsh too. I can only conclude you live in your own little world now. Nobody's said he should be sacked this week and nobody thinks there's a hope in hell of it happening. You keep doing this.
  7. The Premier League wouldn't carry on if just England pulled out like.
  8. No it wasn't, just the media portrayed it as such. Everyone who saw him before he came out said he was gay. Jeeeeeeesus.
  9. Was basically slave labour Gimp, we've moved on.
  10. 8th January, let's start thinking about how to spin this lads.
  11. Also, maybe the next manager will be able to deal with more than 1 game every 7 days. That might affect matters positively in terms of our priorities.
  12. All of this for a country around half the size of Wales, that has a population of 2m people, that lacks in cultural/tourist activities, that has backward views towards homosexuality/alcohol/etc, and has no football stadiums or football heritage whatsoever. It's bent as fuck, it couldn't be clearer.
  13. I'd sack him btw, hate his face.
  14. 9.19 - Brett bumps the Alan Pardew thread so he's got something to do with his day.
  15. That's why I gave mine up. I'll go back regularly when we have a club to support that has ambition. Me as well. I've only been to the Stoke game as a ticket was going spare but am getting the urge now so will start going to aways again, hopefully starting with West Ham.
  16. http://www1.skysports.com/watch/video/9104927/nakamura-puts-the-icing-on-the-cake Wew.
  17. I don't know ask Pardew why he decided to try and contain them from scoring then looking to nick one. I've said i didn't agree with that tactic but if Debuchy hadn't of got sent and Ebn Arfa nicks the goal, it's 3 points, didn't work this time for him though due to the sending off giving WB the advantage and reducing the chances of us nicking it big style like he would have planned. We should have approached it like Palace, weather we would have won like that or not we'll never know but that's how i would have set up. That approach (let's call it the West Brom approach) is far less effective than the Crystal Palace approach against lesser opposition, besides being less pleasing on the eye. That's why people have a problem with it, it's more likely to go wrong and is unnecessary, boring and tedious. It went wrong because one of his players let him down though. Just like one of his players might save him and get 3 points with individual brilliance as some put it, he was let down on this occasion by one of them. Goes around in circles, it's a risky tactic and one really we shouldn't be adopting against likes of West Brom. Killing the game as a spectacle and relying on magic is a shit tactic (especially against lesser opposition in poor form) and there is no excuse when it goes wrong, which it's more likely to than if you tried to exert your dominance and win the game as if it's, you know, an actual football match. It's as simple as that for me, no point discussing it any further.
  18. Also, you keep harping on about Crystal Palace and I can see why because that's the only time I can remember us attacking lesser opposition for more than 45 minutes over the course of the last one and a half seasons.
