  1. Watford, Brentford, and Palace are where they will pick up points.
  2. I got the impression that HTT was joking and using the fact that some of our fans actually did use tea towels on their heads.
  3. In all fairness Howe had been a little while and things were not quite clicking and the squad overall looked like it needed totally replacing with some players looking like they were done. Howe’s philosophy has gradually ingrained itself into the team. The players written off are fighting. The new singings clicked (well most of them). Let’s not forget that in January, we lost at home to what is an average League One team. Of course people think the damage by Bruce and Ashley was too far gone to save us this season.
  4. A Burnley win tomorrow night and they are in a worse position, and it is a winnable game for Burnley.
  5. In the full interview he even says that he only meant to put the ball into the box.
  6. As others have said, a win here and the pressure is well and truly off us. This means we could use some experimentation in our remaining games, or give it a right all out go against the likes of Norwich. A win and the focus will obviously turn towards seeing what we can achieve in terms of top, although fixtures after weekend might quickly dash those hopes.
  7. It’s still the same plan.
  8. It’s not really a flat pack stadium like.
  9. It’s unlikely that their stadium will be able to host Premier League football if they come up. It maybe that they have to play at MK Dons, which no one wants.

Aye but 14 more years would be decent going.
  11. Aye but the fat bastard might be able to get laid since he can pay for it over there. £5m pay off from us surely must get one of the lasses from the red light district to spend 10 minutes with him.

Are they really? If they don’t come up this season then next season they will be up against Derby, and Barnsley (who know how to get out of that league) alongside other big teams who have as equal right to come up as they do.
  13. I wouldn’t mind Luton coming up. Mainly because their fans have suffered a little in the last 30 years or so, nearly going bust at one point. They are also hoping to build a new stadium which they really need, and it’s going to be in the heart of the town centre. The Premier League money would likely pay a large chunk of that off.
  14. They are annoying as fuck. That whole area of Teeside is, and it’s not just related to football. In football they fight for our games with them to be a rivalry and also Sunderland games with them as well. They harp on about the NETD’s more than the mackems do, but it is never a big deal if they lose those games or are not NETD’s. Politically they like to spectate themselves with the NE, when we have tried to gain regional assemblies, and mayors etc they have rejected the idea despite everyone else agreeing to it, and then when we say we’ll do it without them, they kick up a fuss saying that they don’t matter. Even Darlington is more closely aligned to Durham economically then to Middlesbrough, Stockton etc. In football terms they have punched a noice their weight in terms of league positions etc than similar and bigger clubs of their size and don’t have the fan base really. Before Gibson saved them, a lot of football fans from that area supported us, Sunderland, Leeds, and even Hartlepool. When we play them at their place their is always stories of trouble with them and their fans acting like hooligans. Wanting them in the same league as us is like wanting to play a match against Millwall and wanting to interact with their fans.
  15. Fucking Hope Boro lose. Rather have the mackems back up then those fucking ‘wannabe’ rivalry cunts . Lets say they don’t postpone their home game against, you have their fans chucking bricks at you from bridges around the stadium.
  16. How would that explain the whole back room staff then? Were they in some sort of betting scandal or beating the players or something?

Let’s say they go up this season. How long will it be before their fans turn on their manager and owner when they are battling relegation, or if they are in mid table, then because they are not in the play offs. Let’s say they are even in the ply offs, they won’t be happy until they are 1st. They will keep hounding their mangers out and then blaming the ownership for giving them what they wanted. It is far from certain that they will go up as well as 2 of their 4 remaining games are against teams in the play off places.
  18. In all fairness, they literally have a ferry to catch. I was coming back from my friends at 5-ish and saw a couple of the DFDS busses carrying a large amount of people in Newcastle shirts down towards the Royal Quays. The ferry must have waited a little while to take them back because it’s usually down river anytime from 4:30.

Wasn’t that when he followed up by saying Staveley was a chancer and then claimed it was marketing on behalf of the drinks company?
  21. They had a good start to the 2nd half but didn’t really create much, they had a couple of half chances in the 2nd half, that is all. We didn’t do much in the 2nd half until the last moment, but it was very much a bone eventful 2nd half of football really.
  22. If a referee blew to bring that foul up without playing the advantage when the player with the ball was in the position Willock was with the ice he was showing and with no time left on the clock, then he/she shouldn’t be refereeing games. Allowing the advantage should be standard practice. It’s when they play on and don’t bring the advantage back when none is gained or ruin the advantage which kills games.
  23. I never understood why players do that type of run up for a penalty, it opens your foot up too much at the wrong moment.
  24. No cock is that big, except from Steve Bruce himself.
  25. It was the club themselves who did that. They sold whole sections of Bar 1892 off to them which is the home section and is actually illegal. I complained about it and the club had changed the category of Bar 1892 into the hospitality section for the 1 game, which got around the laws. Word is a match ticket cost anywhere from £200 to £1,000 to the scousers.
