It’s off topic but Blyth is a bit of a shit hole, well the town centre and immediate areas around it are. They have trained to smarten it up in recent years, but it’s kind of like painting a house that has cracks in it. Some nice housing estates etc going up just outside of it and it has great access to the countryside. It does have potential but the investment in virtual non-existent, at least not where it needs to be.

Looks like Canada won’t even need the playoffs.

If they did pre-bought tickets, it may have got the attendance up as people could buy them in advance instead of buying them on the day and do something else instead, where as pre-bought tickets become more of a commitment. It’s a bank holiday the Monday after isn’t it? So hopefully if they can get some events on around the ground, that may encourage more people to come?
-
They will fucking get it as well. ?
-
Fucking disgrace isn’t? This will be where they introduce camera’s in the VAR room, guy won’t be able to help himself.
-
I’d take him as he would be better than other options we have on our bench and if played RW, he would be our best option on that side of the pitch. I wouldn’t want us to spend a fortune on his wages though, when we could get a better player instead.
-
I was so excited for him, I heard he was the next big thing, as good as the next Ronaldinho type of signing. Very much like Almirón, he has the ability, but it just wouldn’t work here.
-
Fucking hated being here didn’t he? Sure he saw it as a move that killed his career.

I think it’s highly unlikely we’ll go down now, not a 0, but not a 1 either, probably a 0.5 at most. It would pretty much mean that we would lose all of our remaining games, or win 1 and not draw any, something along those lines. Ideally I want us to get to 37 points as soon as possible, but that is because I have been conditioned to think that 35-36 points is usually where you begin to be safe, although I soo think that it maybe lower this season. The only team I can see getting out of the bottom 3 now is Watford, and that’s because of their fixtures, even then though Leeds, Everton, and Brentford have all gained points in the last week or so to still put some distance between them. Some teams will be going on an early holiday soon, so games like Wolves and Palace maybe easier for us then they would have been earlier in the season. We saw this work for us in Bruce’s 2 seasons with us, where we got points at the end of the season against teams who couldn’t care less. We also have Norwich, who usually we can’t get the better of at their place, but even for them they have been weak this season and the only desire they seem to have within them, is to tell the EFL that they are coming back. Yes the Everton result wasn’t ideal, now was Leeds winning last night, but to be honest we have been overdue a week where things don’t go all our way. The important thing is that in the games we have lost we have looked good. A couple of refereeing disgraces prevented us from getting a win or at least a point away against Chelsea, and one blip repented us winning against Everton in a game we dominated in. Keep up the performances, and we’ll have those points soon enough.

Everton vs Newcastle: 17/03/2022 @ 19:45 (Amazon Prime)

Fucking hell, have they only just realised that Pickford is never mentally ready to play us? -
Would have preferred red lettering to go with our shirts. Blue is just overdone and quite tacky.

Said it before, so long as those corrupt and incompetent bastards are in charge of VAR, it will be the same old story. The whole footballing authority in this country needs to be ripped up and started again, from the FA, down the leagues to the EFL, and the referees. The whole lot stinks of corruption.

Too hard to tell, Leeds have played the most games but have a couple of games where you think they could steal some points. Everton have some bad games but again have a few games where you think they could steal some points. They look like us from our 1st relegation, but the fact that many of us want them gone just means they will be sure to get enough points. Burnley by all means should be the team that’s going, they seem to be that team who are in the relegation zone, then get a run of decent form just a little too early. The thing is though, they are Burnley, they kind of know what they are doing, they will be like Wigan, and come April will find title winning form. EDIT: Fuck me, let’s not count Watford out yet. They are away against Southampton today, which they could get something from. They also have home games against Everton, Leeds, Brentford, and Burnley, as well as an away game against Palace who could well be on the beach by then.

Top 6: You can’t let the Saudi’s buy Newcastle, they are bad. 6 months later……. Premier League: Chelsea owner is cut from being a director of the club because he’s bad.
-
How is the at not a red? There was no attempt to play the ball there, and his foot was high.
-
Are they taking the piss? This is the club who were one of the 1st to stop kneeling for BLM because their fans boo’d it constantly. The fans who hold banners up saying refugees are not welcome. 100% their fans will by and large be saying no Ukrainians should be allowed into the country, yet they are going to play in yellow and blue to show support?
-
That’s not going to happen. Even with a Labour government they will still want that money from KSA. They like to look different, but largely they aren’t.
-
I think the point is that Chelsea and other legitimate businesses he has should still be allowed to operate, but he shouldn’t have control over them or be able to gain money or transfer money via them. If they are really concerned they could just nationalise Chelsea and then sell them on, amazing to think that the Tories haven’t done that. In reality though, he and other Russians have probably paid the government previously, and they are looking for a way to look tough with the intention of letting him have his stuff back once things have settled down.
-
Russell Brand has never been smart nor funny. He’s always been and always will be an arrogant prick who will do anything that is popular for the attention, be that pretending to stand for the Labour Party, or making videos on conspiracy theories.
-
Aye, I’m quite partial to some cheesy chips. As for Steve Bruce, people are right, can’t even stay loyal to himself. He took the 1st job that was offered his way after he said he wanted to retire, and before that was putting himself forward for the Man Utd job.
-
Aye. The club should be allowed to function, and the government should be coming up with a solution where he either surrenders the club to the government, who can then sell it on (such a Tory thing), or is allowed to sell it and give the proceeds to charity.

What happens when they turn to mobile tickets? What do they call them then?
-
Richarlison was throwing himself to the ground and generally just not up for the fight, very Owen-esk from when we 1st went down. If that attitude runs through the squad then they are down. Some people say they are too big to go down, we’ll sometimes having big name players in these situations is why you go down, because they are not up for the fight. It’s easy enough for them to down tools and get a move elsewhere in the summer. They can let their ego get to them, ‘I’m surrounded by shit players’ instead of looking at their own performances.
-
Short bankrolled them but spent money on expensive loans and ageing players. He also let way too many PFM’s and generally shit managers manage them. Had he spent that money more wisely they would be nowhere near where they are, but they make out like he was an absent owner and worse than Ashley. The fact is he was a better owner than Ashley and they only turned on him once they went down, something which Ashley did twice to us, yet they claim he was a good owner.
-
They also have us to play after they play Wolves. I fucking hope we beat them, if they are going to stay up, I hope it’s not us who helps them.
