Aye, there is a lot of rewriting of history going on. Just yesterday someone on Reddit was saying that the Glazers ownership has to go down as the single greatest heist in history. That’s despite the fact that how they bought the club is both legal, and common practice within the business world. I responded that Bury had an owner that sent them out of business, Wigan had an owner who bought them to win a bet that they would be relegated, Bolton had an owner who was minutes away from sending them out of business, and Blackpool had a convicted rapist own them who was taking money out of the club. The Glazers ownership of Man Utd isn’t even the worst football ownership on Lancaster or even Greater Manchester. As for Spurs. I’m pretty sure if Enic and Levy had bought us, build us a new stadium like theirs that also hosted things like the NFL, and concerts, had us regularly in Europe (including the Champions League), won a League Cup, got to the final of the Champions League, and other League Cups, then our fans would have been very fucking happy.

That could change massively in a week or so.

Aye, I’ve already made various posts about how we will look back at his time in English football with a negative view for all the shit he’s left lying around.

I don’t get it? Referees are increasingly seeing abuse aimed at them, and lately it’s largely been from the same clubs. The issue isn’t just over yesterday’s game, but over a growing trend. The only way you are going to stop it is by addressing the issue, and that ultimately has to go down to points deduction. You can’t just single out Arsenal fans when Liverpool fans are still abusing a referee from last year, and are actually online at the moment encouraging Arsenal fans.
-
Whats funny? They were doing it a little while back with that goal that was disallowed vs Spurs.
-
Let’s just start deducting points from the teams who’s fans keep doing this then. Oh wait, it’s Arsenal and Liverpool fans.
-
We still will in my opinion. They’ll only open it up for hosing, and so far, like every other government, they haven’t actually done anything that would smooth the planning process.

Can we dare dream of a West Ham winner?

Why does a team who play in claret and blue in their home kit, have claret shorts in their away kit? It’s all a con to get me to buy a big 77 inch TV, a bit like how you couldn’t read the writing on Xbox games on CRT TV’s once flatscreens came out.

Acoustics are pretty to be fair.

Southgate is available for nothing.
-
They’ll sack him before the final, assuming both of us get there.

Happy St Troddeningham day.

If it wasn’t for Covid, we were going down. When we came back, many clubs just wanted to play out the season to get it over and done with. We were able to gain the points from it and gain confidence. The next season which was also largely played behind closed doors is where Bruce benefitted without having the fans on his back. It’s absolutely no surprise that we were going down without a whimper as soon as fans were allowed back in.
-
It’s a Richard Keys opinion piece, so it’s 110% wrong, and 150% said to gain attention. The only surprising thing is he never suggested Howe as his replacement, just to fuck off our fanbase once again.
-
Isak will outscore him if he plays the same amount of games for us as Shearer did. In the Premier League alone, if he played the same 303 games for us as Shearer did, then he is on course to score 193 goals for us, compared to Shearers 148.

Liverpool are not lumping £100m+ on any player.

Outside of London, Manchester has had huge amounts of government funding in the last 20-25 years, so the government can say that they invest in the North. Manchester is like a Northern London now. It is now in a position where any sort of development company would be willing to invest in a regeneration project without the government kicking starting it. On top of this, the regeneration project is being kick started by arguably the biggest and one of the richest football clubs in the country, arguably the world, with many investors being multimillionaire’s and billionaires. The rest of the country gets no funding at all. Half a mile away from SJP you have the Gateshead flyover that is closed because it’s falling down, with the government refusing to give the council money to tear it down, and have rejected giving it funding twice in recent years so it could be taken down before it got to this state. The Tyne bridge is still awaiting its final pot of money to be approved to finish its refurbishment, which is at least 5 years overdue, again due to budget restraints imposed on local councils. The Redheugh bridge they fear is going the same way as the Gateshead flyover, again no funding for it. The grade 2 listed High level bridge is going to need a complete rebuild in the coming years, again it has lacked funding from central government. Let’s see how fast the government are willing to give money to us to develop the Strawberry land when we announce our stadium developments.

Didn’t the guy who covers NUFC for the Shields Gazette say that it’s a £200m budget? £200m would give us an excellent training facility, but I doubt we are getting a mini stadium for the academy and women’s team for that.

Player is already past him when he goes for the challenge. He’s only ever catching the player, and only ever catching the player from behind. On top of this, it’s stopping a promising counter attack for Wolves. It’s a challenge that everyone has always thought is dirty, and has always thought that there should be more punishment for other than a red card, and a free-kick in a non-dangerous position. In reality it should always have been a red card, because of the lack of intent of getting the ball, and because of the denying of a chance at goal. We have just been conditioned to think it’s a yellow, because that’s all that has ever been given.
-
Sorry like, but Manchester is one of the last places the government should be providing funding too for projects such as this. London and the South East aside, Manchester is the number one place where private companies will be lining up to invest in. Funding should be going to places that are struggling for funding from private companies.
-
It’s not a poorly timed tackle though. He had no chance of getting to the ball, he’s gone to do him, and he’s only ever going to do him from behind as well. The fact that it prevented a counter attack as well just compounds it.

A tactical foul is malice to be honest.

I agree with Edwards on this. It’s about people in the media were called out on that sort of shit.
