  1. Aye, as in the people I went to the match with. Got to admit though, didn't think he'd play this big a role in our squad when he signed, glad he's stepped up for us.
  2. I remember telling someone he was great and going to be a threat before the game we beat Bordeaux 3-0 in which he was completely anonymous and subbed after an hour. #outhipstered
  3. Noticed that at half time, I'm sure it used to be £1000?
  4. I expect it from Arsenal at home, but the Liverpool fans are also deadly silent. Real lack of atmosphere.
  5. Henderson almost as bad as Arsenal for letting him run that far.
  6. So have we and despite today, were still shit.
  7. They don't have the wide men like Robben and Duff. That's their biggest problem, imo. Their biggest problem is that they have no Drogba or Anelka. They have enough midfielders and wide players to be winning matches like this. And yet it's plain to everyone else that Lukaku could of filled that void
  8. Same here, in fact, any atmosphere would be nice. In an odd way, i also miss the steps up to Level 7 now, used to always run up them
  9. "The NUFC Direct website is operated by SportsDirect.com Retail Ltd. whose registered address is Unit A, Brook Park East, Shirebrook, NG20 8RY, Company Number: 03406347, VAT Number: GB 898 439743."
  10. Think we had a real chance at beating them in the 90 mins, but that says more about them than us, we coped well at the back because they looked absent of any movement and penetration. Seeing us create a few chances was a step forward however, but our inability to finish them was really frustrating. Silva changed the game.
  11. Still think Cisse is a good player + at least Shola will give him some company when no one else is anywhere near them.
  12. Shame half term will mask the dillusionment for the sky cameras tonight, could of really send out a message if SJP was nearly empty.
  13. With Red Bull sniffing around the premiership for a club, it could, amazingly, be a case of 'better the devil you know' for us.
  14. You scored 46 out of a possible 60 CONGRATULATIONS! You say Italian teams in an Italian accent, love stories of tactical innovations of the 1950s and prefer a well-executed lateral five-yard pass to a 30-yard screamer into the top corner. YOU'RE A FULLY FLEDGED FOOTBALL HIPSTER! Fucks sake, I hate the term 'football hipster'
  15. Other half bought me and her tickets to this for my birthday, it's her first game: A bumming in front of a half empty SJP, guess it'll also be her last
  16. Maybe this is why we didn't sign any players? The other clubs told him they'd send the paperwork over, so he waited by the fax machine patiently while they were trying to send him an email, explains everything.
  17. Would actually help if we had a natural winger in our side who likes to get crosses in the box. Once again that's down to lack of transfer activity, i'm not saying Ben Arfa is incapable of putting a cross in the box, he was clearly going solo which was disappointing but at least he was giving it a good go unlike others on the pitch. If we don't learn quickly how to break a side down when they've got men back in numbers, the season isn't going to be pretty. We need to pick our front 3 and stick with it, chopping and changing game to game is not going to get us in any sort rhythm and no awareness for one another will be found. Then why suggest that tactic if we don't have the players to execute it? Because you would like to think if you tell Ben Arfa to get wide and whip a few crosses in, he would actually follow your instructions and give it a go. He's took matter into his own hands and done it his way. Sure he will have got a bollocking for it but it's just the type of player he is, he's capable of producing that moment of magic to win any game but nothing was paying off for him on Sunday, he couldn't even dribble a few yards without slipping and sliding, the ball is usually glued to his feet but it was like he never had it under control. He was asked to play in the middle not whip crossed in
  18. Not very confident, first game at home for their manager, lots of defenders missing for us, fully expect them to come flying at us from the start, which is not something we've coped well with in the past. Get through the first 15-25 mins and our class should start to show though.
  19. Thought they actually looked good before the Fulham equaliser too. Think Hughton, Mackay and Jol. Jol has just bought himself a bit of time, but only delaying the inevitable, No chance he can do what they owner want him to with his lazy, Over the hill squad.
  20. Wish I could hear that champions league tune at SJP one more time.
  21. sessengon driving down westgate road has to be my favorite
  22. I clapped him off because from where I was sitting it looked like he'd played well and been sent off harshly. I still think it was harsh but I wouldn't have clapped him off if I'd seen him putting his hand on Suarez because that was asking for a card. Imo, in those situations you take the risk of them scoring and not giving the referee a decision to make. It is the logical conclusion but in the heat of the moment and as a defender you do what you can to stop goals... Better defenders make the right decisions though in those situations. Most better defenders a) cost a lot more, b) are older than Mapou. I clapped him off, what else would i do, hes a Newcastle player, who untill then had a good game, I'm not going to stop supporting him just because he's put his arm out in the heat of the moment.
