Seems like the sort of bloke you'd enjoy a pint with. Mick McCarthy too.

It's genuinely going to be the best summer as a Newcastle fan since the early 00's, just enjoy it, don't get too hung up on every single rumour

Canny watch, this game. Love moves like the one for Saka's goal.

I think he's pretty shit, personally. He's got a bit of pace, and that's about it. I just don't think he believes in himself anywhere near enough to be a consistently competent PL standard winger. We need to move on from the likes of him, Lewis, Kraft etc as soon as possible. Bit of a shame really as he seems to genuinely give a shit about the club and always looks overjoyed when we win, whether he's played a part or not.
-
Still think he's got something to offer a club on the up, personally. The issue with him is that he has shown to be very quick in downing tools when the going gets tough and therefore we should have no hesitation when it comes to upgrading, hopefully this summer.
-
He's just another in a long line of players who have improved because of Howe and his tactics, he's still technically diabolical. Watch him revert to type soon as he leaves this summer. Really wouldn't get your knickers in a twist over Emil Kraft though.

Shay? His distribution was incredibly avaerage, given how good he was at just about everything else.

Brentford, Norwich and Watford at home weren't great like. His team selections were iffy, Clark shouldn't have been anywhere near SJP, never mind in the starting lineup. I wasn't a fan at all until this run kicked in. But now you can absolutely see the changes he's made are working and he's setting us up absolutely perfectly against some decent sides. We're pressing and attacking weak sides whilst retaining some defensive solidity, unthinkable under Bacon as he repeatedly told us that was impossible. It's so refreshing to see that we're now picking up points because of the manager again, not in spite of him. On top of all that he comes across a really nice bloke, not that it really matters, but it makes you root for him and the team that little bit more. Great to hear stories of unity in the squad, the non-playing staff and the boardroom. I don't think we've properly had that since the mid 90's.
