  1. Thought Cordoba defended really well for 40 mins and 5 mins later it was all over I felt quite sad for them actually. True. Iniesta been good today, his ball control is back to it's best. Neymar has been dreadful. Iniesta has been having a few good games lately, hopefully it means he's back; we'll need him for this final stretch.
  2. Córdoba are pretty terrible, sadly deserve being at the bottom of La Liga. Serves them right for getting rid of Xisco.
  3. Worry not, Williamson's ban will be added up to the long line of ''bad luck'' that not even Ferguson or Mourinho could have done anything about.

What are they saying? Another hole to lick though.. He's to blame for our slide etc. Easy when it's on foreign TV, sadly. The little reporting you get on here has lambasted him, too.

Carver's approach to address the situation reminds me of when the FM engine decides I won't win any more games and I randomly try players and tactics to see if something sticks.
  6. I'm worried now. Please don't go down.
  7. That's because Pardew was too smart to crack like that in a press conference. Journos have smelled blood and that's why they are grilling Pearson now; they know they can get some drama and juicy quotes if they provoke him.

This very same squad that Ryder deems unfit for purpose were comfortably midtable in the hands of Alan f***ing Pardew. Man, I don't know how you can put up with all that s***, I'm not even a proper fan and it does my head in. Also: You're a professional writer FFS

Even in this scenario I would put him second to having no manager! I suspect a monkey randomly flinging poo at a tactics board would achieve a higher win % tbf.
  10. As for RB we've been linked to Monaco's Fabinho - of whom I don't know anything about. As for the transfer ban, the talk is that this summer we'll tie up deals that will come through in January; but it's absurd to have 5-6 players come in at that time of the season.

I hope he means that literally, and he's in pole position at the next Formula 1 Grand Prix, ready to be steamrolled by the rest of the cars.
  12. I'm pretty bad at playing transfer games, really. What I know is that we *must* sign an RB, a CB, two midfielders (Xavi replacement, Iniesta replacement), and if Pedro leaves get somebody that can give rest to the front three.
  13. Absolutely no idea, Laporta is being quite mum about his plans and has even said he's not sure he'll run. There's talk he could go back to politics (he already was elected to the regional parliament after leaving Barça's presidency).

Seriously, does anybody proofread that newspaper?
  15. We've been linked with De Bruyne in our local papers. That would be nice. Apparently his agent has confirmed the interest, but it might be usual agent bollocks to drum up interest for his player.
  16. Also the Spanish FA has implemented a third party ownership ban, as part of UEFA's European-wide ban of the practice. All current contracts will be respected but no new contracts involving third party ownership can be signed by Spanish clubs. That means players finishing their contracts can't extend them until their ownership status is resolved. However, the Spanish club owners association (alongside the Portuguese one) have appealed the prohibition to the EU competition authorities, as they consider it to be "restriction of trade".
  17. The Spanish government has issued a decree forcing collective bargaining in La Liga rights. Pretty ridiculous that the government has had to step in to solve the mess, but well, here we are.
  18. s**** translation This part reads like they want him now obviously it's due to the crappy translation but still. It kinda just says that he's on the shortlist with McClaren. I have no f***ing clue what Ahra is. Maybe a typo? Ahora? I'm getting worse at this s***. Yeah, it's a typo, should be "ahora".
  19. Mundo Deportivo are rubbish, they are just recycling this Daily Express article http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/573860/Newcastle-Paco-Jemez-John-Carver-exit
  20. Guess so. Then again, even Rayo manage to have a full squad. He tells it like it is, certainly. This winter the club signed a (shitty) forward without his input and he publically decried it.
  21. He doesn't have full control at Rayo; Felipe Miñambres (the DOF) handles transfers. But their player turnover is so high it's probably the only way.
