  1. They wouldn't have gone up. They would have had a chance of going up via the Play Offs.
  2. Yes. I can see that I've posted on this topic 28 times but have only posted directly about the takeover on 4 occasions so it can be misleading. I've actually spoken more about Leeds Utd on this thread than any potential takeover of NUFC! Just click on your profile and go to show posts. Your posts on Leeds were weird as well, but I didn't follow up on your views about them because people didn't want to discuss Leeds on a thread about takeovers. The irony of someone who was spouting nonsense shite about Disney and Netflix on this thread trying to lecture anyone else about going off topic isn't lost on me

I'm answering a question. Don't even know why you felt the need to get involved

  5. For a complete restructuring of the club from the Academy upwards there's nobody I would trust more than Rafael Benitez with his attention to detail in everything he does.
  6. Bayer v Bayern was the best I've watched so far. Empty seats covered over, crowd noise and a really good game as well.
  7. 44 = 4 x 11 Teacher will be over the moon with you when your school goes back
  8. Add Maths to the long list of things you're not very good at James
  9. Said No all along (other than for a couple of days of false hope when NUFC.com chirped up) so I'm sticking with that. Not really arsed either way now anyway. Totally bored with it all. Think you are kidding yourself tbh. I am very arsed. Have devoted a huge amount of emotional energy once again following this saga, just like I did last year. And even though I feel certain of what is coming I am still dreading the heartbreak of experiencing it fall through. Just hope I can move on fairly swiftly and forget about football altogether. Nah I think I've commented on this thread about 4 times in total, probably about the same on Twitter and it's rarely even mentioned amongst my mates and family or at work. Just not that arsed either way now. It's probably more symptomatic with how I feel about NUFC and football in general these days really. You have commented on this thread 42 times Nowhere near 42 and most of those comments weren't even about the takeover. They were in a separate conversation about the size of NUFC compared to Leeds on this thread. Nice try though lad!

  12. That's crazy. A large % of their support couldn't even work out how to use Ticketmaster to buy their Wembley tickets yet they expect them to be able to stream matches into their living rooms.
  13. Fancy despising someone for going to a football match though I mean that's not what I'm doing like, but it's fucking hilarious that it's you attempting to make this point when you did exactly that for years. Don't despise anyone me. Not even mackems. Obviously touched a nerve with you all the same. I suggest you chill out. Not at all, I just think it's funny that you're making that point after that Wullie post a couple of years ago. I don't take this place seriously enough to remember what was said a couple of weeks ago let alone a couple of years ago but I do know I wouldn't despise anyone for choosing to go to watch a game of football. Loads of my family still hold season tickets. It's their choice really. You're obviously having a bad day and are spoiling for an argument so I'll give you a bit of leeway there.
  14. I wouldn't want to call them fickle when their club has been run so terribly. Of all sets of fans, we should empathise with that. Difference is rightly or wrongly a terribly run NUFC were still getting 45k+. Leeds were getting under 20k for many games. As I say you can't compare the two fanbases. Maybe their fans are better for staying away ? I doubt that's how any potential new owners would look at it. They've got better fans because they won't turn up when things aren't going their way. Nah.

  16. They've been out of the top flight for more than half of their existence as well.
  17. The last deal Sky paid £6.4bill and BT paid £1.4bill for 3 years rights. Cant find the Bein Sports payment? Said this a while ago. Football is losing money because of COVID, the PL will use this to negotiate with the Saudis and get a better deal than they have with bein for the TV rights. Qatar have very little input outside of the TV deal. They bought the wrong club in the wrong league. It will be interesting to see how Qatar react. Will they turn their back on the Premier League? Or will they go all out and buy Leeds in an attempt to show Saudi Arabia and the UAE that they aren’t going to have the North of England and Premier League to themselves? Leeds are a really attractive club for a money-no-object foreign investor. I was always worried the Saudis might switch to them if Ashley fucked them around too much. Leeds are tiny compared to us in terms of fanbase and they'd need to bulld a brand new stadium for starters. West Ham would be a better bet. I think they'd try for them before Leeds. Leeds were getting 40k attendances in the championship. As Stifler has said, they will also probably tap into a lot of Yorkshire's fan base if they ever hit the big time again as it is the major city in the county, and probably still recognised as a major waypoint in England. Not that I want them to be bought, we have enough competition already through other mega rich clubs, but if I was an investor looking for a club with CL potential and big club appeal, that would be the one I'd go for rather than another London club. They've never had 40k in the Championship. When we played them 3 years ago the crowd was 36k and that was their biggest league gate for almost a decade. 4 years ago they were getting lots of sub 20k crowds for league games. They have a very fickle following.

Leeds aren’t as small as people think. They basically have the majority of Yorkshire behind them. Ok so long term their stadium needs a rebuild, but so does West Ham’s. In all honesty I think now is a perfect time for West Ham to be buying the Olympic stadium on the cheap and rebuilding the stadium as a football venue. They have also been rumoured to be buying Leeds for a while. Leeds isn't a football city. Never has been. Leeds Utd have been in existence over 100 years and have never managed to average over 40k in a season before. Not once. Sheffield is a bigger footballing city than Leeds, although they have 2 clubs to support.

  20. anyone got a copy/paste of that? It's been copied and pasted on RTG and is available to read.
  21. The same person who told me Steve McClaren had already agreed to be the next NUFC manager 3 months before he got the job. Stuck £100 on him @ 12/1. Happy days. Wait he agreed to take the job 3 months before he did, yet turned it down for the last 3 games of the season a month and a half before he finally took the job? Aye nae bother A few of us won a lot of money from information we were given about McClaren! Let's see what happens here now. It'll be out in the open by the weekend. It was no surprised to anyone Newcastle wanted him. They tried twice already and after derby sacked him it was obvious they’d try again. Big fuckin deal. Was a surprise to the bookies. He was way down in the betting.

  23. Don't believe me if you don't want to. Makes no odds to me mate. McClaren was sounded out about the NUFC job long before he took it.
