  1. You want us to keep hold of the manager with the worst win % in Premier League history just to wind the mackems up? Really?
  2. Just keep the academy get rid of the club it's the only good thing they have Also i would feel for HTT's kid If he's as good as he says he is he'll get his chance elsewhere.
  3. Sums the bloke up basically, he knows his own self worth, and it's obviously not much. Just sums up why we need the Saudis in and Ashley and him out. What a pointless existence this club leads.
  4. 14th in the table and "We've got ourselves into a wonderful situation" according to Bruce in his pre match interview there.
  5. The problem is that a 5* UEFA rated Academy and the running costs that come with that aren't really viable for a League One club. It was always going to happen if they stayed down there for a few seasons.
  6. I think we have been incredibly patient, can you see the Man U or Liverpool fans being as patient as us? Would be interesting to see what sort of support either of them would get if they went 50 years without a trophy. Liverpools crowds dropped to mid 30,000s under Roy Hodgson when they were mid table and mid 20s under Souness for certain games. Can't believe some of the s**** I've been reading about them lately. 30 years of hurt apparently? In that time they've probably scooped around 15 trophies. Weren’t those attendances under Hodgson organised boycotts though? Yes and under Souness they had the Kop closed while it was made to conform to safety requirements for being an all-seater. The capacity never dropped anywhere near as low as 24k though. The "boycott" under Hodgson was to do with the fact that they'd slipped into the bottom half of the table. There was no organised boycott as such, just fans not turning up because they were crap (by their standards).

  8. My interest in PL football, and football in general has waned massively in this past decade. 10 years ago I was at every home game and 75% of away games. If a match (not involving NUFC) was on telly 9 times out of 10 I'd be watching it. This season I've been to 2 games. 1 home (free ticket) and 1 away, just for a day out on the drink if truth be told. Very rarely watch TV games and have now cancelled Sky Sports as I dont watch it. If this takeover had gone through it would have ignited my interest, not to the levels of 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 years ago, but I would have taken a strong interest once again. As things stand I'll probably have a cursory glance at the results on a Saturday tea time and not much more.
  9. Happy enough with that. He's come on leaps and bounds in the past year.
  10. That's what happens when you buy 15 new players every season, even if they are nomarks.
  11. Mines in January. Probably still be waiting for confirmation one way or the other by then.
  12. He's neither right nor wrong at this stage so that's a poor point scoring mission on your part.
  13. Still expecting a huge red flag to appear any time now and for it all to fall through. I am very pessimistic when it comes to all things NUFC though. We were 3-0 up against 10 men with 10 minutes to go on Sunday and I was thinking if we can come away with a point that's us edging that bit closer to safety.
  14. Burnleys goal difference just 2 better than ours now (at 5-0) and are only a point ahead of us. Need Man City to have one of their "troughs" on Sunday otherwise it could be a long old afternoon.
  15. With Norwich all but gone I'd love to see Villa and West Ham join them.
  16. Same here. Robert ahead of Ginola purely because he scored and assisted far more goals. Both incredible players mind.
  17. Sounds like those bloody Tories have stepped in and gave the PL a gentle nudge to get it over the line.
  18. Remember when he went on that mad rant about Newcastle last year at one of his Middlesbrough press conferences. Was really bizarre because nobody had even asked him about NUFC and it's not like we're in the same Divsion. He just went off on one saying NUFC aren't a big club etc. Great centre half, when fit, but I doubt many people are surprised that he's struggled so badly as a manager.
