  1. Fans were getting on his back because they are 20 odd points behind Celtic. Not really sure how they could have expected anything else tbh.
  2. Tbf the paedo loving, the banners & the racism were those who follow the club rather than the actual club itself, although they did cover up the Johnson carry on to protect their own interests. Can only praise them for how they've treated the young lad though. 1st class from them and their players, especially Defoe. Whatever the future holds for him they're giving him plenty of days to remember and who knows, maybe this could give him the extra strength to beat this.
  3. Seen him in the Black Bull in Benton about a month before he left to join Palace and tbf he seemed canny enough then. He was having a bit crack with a few of the regulars in there about the match the next day at home to QPR iirc and stayed for about an hour just talking to different people. We were talking to Mick Lowes in The Nine Bar the other week as well and he got talking about the ex managers and he reckoned after Keegan and Sir Bobby, Pardew was the next easiest one to get along with.
  4. leaving from under the leazes at full time there was the fairly usual sing off over the barriers. Mainly younguns on our part, but a group of 20 or so hoolie looking derby fans had went out in the opposite direction to that of most the away fans. Just behind the NE corner, where leazes meets the east stand. They were generally mouthing off and challenging people to have a go. Time I got to the strawberry there was a police van with lights and sirens going, trying to get through the crowds. Guessed they were trying to get up there. One of them was mouthing off on the corner next to Barker & Stonehouse and was promptly put on his backside whilst his previously mouthy mates suddenly lost their voices.
  5. I wouldn't waste your time with the Leazes End. Complete lost cause is that place. Get a new f***ing drum man you dickhead. Think I'll just keep hold of this one. Another one might get under your skin as much. It's miserable bas*ards like you who've ruined it man. You're just too thick to see it.
  6. Think the East Stand was £639 for new season ticket holders for this season. Obviously people on various different deals paying different amounts.
  7. I wouldn't waste your time with the Leazes End. Complete lost cause is that place. No more so than the rest of the stadium. Hoping changing where the away fans sit along with a club initiative will help. Nah there's still quite a few younguns up in L7 that make an effort and the Strawberry Corner is still canny and once in a blue moon the rest of the Gallowgate join in and get going. The Leazes End has been terrible for a long time now. They just sit there in silence other than to have a bit moan on. Like you say moving the away fans should perk up the atmosphere a bit.
  8. Not expecting to get promoted or Rafa is leaving in the summer not matter what and they need to quell the fan rage with a discount  "Sign up for a 20 year season ticket for 300 a year and we'll churn garbage out season after season" 300 a year? If only!
  9. They're not very good, down near the bottom, just lost to Burton Albion, but for some reason I'm not confident of beating them. They seem like one of those teams that can really raise their game a few levels when they need to.

  11. No wins for the 3 teams directly below us. Good weekend.

I still don't particularly rate the lad. Needs to up his game several levels should we go up. Either that or he'll be replaced. Shoots like a girl as well.
  13. Said all along that he's class. Not sure what went through his head with that 1st half pass but apart from that another standard Ritchie performance. A level above this league.
  14. Were you there today? You actually thought he played well?? Serious question by the the way. The crowd were relieved when he went off it was a sympathetic applause to his substitution. He was embarrassing today. Can't run, can the finish, can't head, couldn't hold the ball up. Nothing whatsoever, absolutely nothing at all. He's simply not good enough. The only people who rate him either don't watch him or are blinded by his passion. By passion I mean his daft arm gestures to the crowd and arguing with the opposition.
  15. Anyone know if there's one of these scheduled for any time in the near future?

The money was clearly there. Rafa was given a £30m transfer budget and generated a further £30m of transfer profit on top of that. Even the biggest Ashley apologist can't go down that route. Just because we made a transfer profit doesn't mean there is money in the club. I think the club is experiencing cash flow problems. I'm going with the more believable story that Ashley has spat his dummy because he expected us to be well clear at the top of the league by now and isn't prepared to give Rafa any more cash. Expect Carr has been in his ear to complain about the type of player Rafa has brought into the club as well.

This. Along with that f*cking ars*hole Carr. I despise that old c*nt more by the day.
  19. There is only one road out of Sunderland according to David Moyes. That's why most their fans start leaving the match from half time.
  20. Spurs type performance and atmosphere required for tomorrow. Lose this and it'll be the 1st time I'll have been genuinely worried about promotion.
