  1. Another top class performance again today. His defensive attributes often get overlooked because of how good he is going forward but I thought he was brilliant at both ends of the pitch today. Reckon he could do 100 metres in under 10 seconds as well. With his football boots on.
  2. I was there when we played Roma in Rome. Lost 1-0 Totti penalty iirc. Referee was a right homer.
  3. Think it'll look canny as a huge surfer flag. Good effort again lads
  4. I got thrown out after 80 minutes for losing my rag with the bloke in front of me. Apparently I threatened him and used abusive language. That was the day a lot of us gave up on Pardew.
  5. Far from his greatest fan but I thought Gouffran played well.last night. The whole match revolved around Shelvey but Richie was brilliant in the first half and Gouffran took his goal very well.
  6. What did he do well at, typething? Attacking and defending really.
  7. Absolutely brilliant tonight. Ran the game and 3 assists.
  8. They took 1,300 fans and the journey is 110 miles. No wonder all the back patting!
  9. Ah well, no Wembo this year.
  10. They've got a canny following. I watched them play Darlington about 10 years ago at the Reynolds Arena and they must have brought near enough 2,000 fans with them.
  11. me too, keeps them tired and more chances of injuries evil i know yep- also, many of them will book hotels in London for cup final day
  12. Just shows what having your own agent can do for you.
  13. If they lose the next 2 there's massive pressure on that Crystal Palace match. Lose that one and it's going to be very difficult for them to survive. Unfortunately I can see them beating West Brom.
  14. He's a strange one, Perez. He's the one player, probably more than anyone else, who I really thought would really benefit from working with Rafa and his coaching staff every day but he's turned out to be the only player in the squad to regress in that time. Apparently he was far better on Saturday and his assist for the winner was top drawer so hopefully he can kick on with the run of games he'll get in Diames absence because he really needs to finish the season strongly.
  15. Imagine living your life constantly thinking about your local rivals? the banter that sima is having in that thread. He's absolutely tortured some tramp called Zig81 on there mind. Even the mackems are giving it a wide berth.
  16. Would be Ironic on a day when our 33 year old centre forward bags the winning goal, he announces we'll go back to our old policy of only signing young players with a resale value.
  17. No it's not Is to me. I like it better when he's out of sight and out of mind.
  18. Ashley isn't to be trusted and the fact he's suddenly started turning up at matches again is a bit concerning. He always seem to rear his ugly head when things are ticking along nicely and proceeds to put a spanner in the works.
  19. Got abandoned after 20 mins anyway!
  20. He was pretty good when he was here and getting games, Rafa clearly knew how to get the best out of him, Pardew on the other hand It almost isn't fair to judge a player who plays under him nowadays. His career has been patchy at best and Pardew has only managed him for a small part of that. He was pretty good for us overall and I think he would have been a very useful player for us in this league. However he ran off at the first chance and now I'd like us to target better players than those who can't get a game for the likes of Crystal Palace.
  21. Jumped ship at the first opportunity to go and play for Pardew. He made his bed and he can lie in it. He's been hopeless this season and if we go up I'd like to see us target better players than him.
  22. Just seen his goal on SSN. Lovely header but credit to Perez for a very nice assist with the outside of his boot.
  23. That isn't even a capable Championship midfield tbf. Little wonder they're well on top.
  24. Yes, we do look poorer without our two best players. You'd like to hope one or two of the others could step up to the plate in their absence but not so. We've been a complete shambles without Shelvey.
