  1. It was a very peculiar interview. She didn't seem to want to interact when discussing her ex fiancé on a more personal level, and even struggled to answer questions about him, but when the subject of the NUFC takeover came up she suddenly seemed to come alive. It was pretty bizarre to watch. Almost as if she'd been prepped for it.
  2. They've got a half price subscription offer on at the Athletic which expires at midnight tonight. I've just signed up for £29.99 for the year.
  3. Are these players all free and playing for now? How can they buy a packet of crisps let alone a player? Get them on a free and put them straight on furlough.
  4. On current form, only City and Liverpool would have him on their bench. He add something to Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal. Let's see how he copes with an injury or a dip in form. Yep. There's only 2 teams he wouldn't get into, certainly on current form. The rest of the league is bang average anyway aside from Liverpool and Man City.
  5. Totally agree. Just think of what Ashley could snap up on the High Street in the current climate with £60m in his back pocket. He'd be a fool to knock back such an offer.
  6. No disrespect HTT, but the owners have treated everyone at the club with contempt. Just look at that lass who was pushed out on Netflix for trying to tell them some truths and possibly for not making up a crowd figure soon enough so they could claim the highest attendance in the 3rd division. They aren’t about to tell the academy staff if they are about to go into admin, the soonest they will know about it is either when they see it on SSN along with everyone else, or if they are lucky a phone call to say they’ve been sacked just before the announcement on SSN. Correct. All the Academy staff are furloughed and nobody there will be privy to the information anyway. Incorrect, some will know more than the actual owners man I can see them being sold again in some dodgy deal before going into admin! They really won't. Academy staff are furloughed and will know no more than Joe Public.

  8. The only thing that has been clear these past 14 weeks is that nobody has any inside info. It's all just guesswork, assumptions and opinions.
  9. Wow, just Wow!! Always suspected the mackems lacked any real footballing knowledge just going off there past "icons" but that's confirmation right there. Duncan Watmore man
  10. Nominated on the Manager of the Month shortlist.
  11. You want us to keep hold of the manager with the worst win % in Premier League history just to wind the mackems up? Really?
  12. Just keep the academy get rid of the club it's the only good thing they have Also i would feel for HTT's kid If he's as good as he says he is he'll get his chance elsewhere.
  13. Sums the bloke up basically, he knows his own self worth, and it's obviously not much. Just sums up why we need the Saudis in and Ashley and him out. What a pointless existence this club leads.
  14. 14th in the table and "We've got ourselves into a wonderful situation" according to Bruce in his pre match interview there.
  15. The problem is that a 5* UEFA rated Academy and the running costs that come with that aren't really viable for a League One club. It was always going to happen if they stayed down there for a few seasons.
  16. I think we have been incredibly patient, can you see the Man U or Liverpool fans being as patient as us? Would be interesting to see what sort of support either of them would get if they went 50 years without a trophy. Liverpools crowds dropped to mid 30,000s under Roy Hodgson when they were mid table and mid 20s under Souness for certain games. Can't believe some of the s**** I've been reading about them lately. 30 years of hurt apparently? In that time they've probably scooped around 15 trophies. Weren’t those attendances under Hodgson organised boycotts though? Yes and under Souness they had the Kop closed while it was made to conform to safety requirements for being an all-seater. The capacity never dropped anywhere near as low as 24k though. The "boycott" under Hodgson was to do with the fact that they'd slipped into the bottom half of the table. There was no organised boycott as such, just fans not turning up because they were crap (by their standards).

  18. My interest in PL football, and football in general has waned massively in this past decade. 10 years ago I was at every home game and 75% of away games. If a match (not involving NUFC) was on telly 9 times out of 10 I'd be watching it. This season I've been to 2 games. 1 home (free ticket) and 1 away, just for a day out on the drink if truth be told. Very rarely watch TV games and have now cancelled Sky Sports as I dont watch it. If this takeover had gone through it would have ignited my interest, not to the levels of 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 years ago, but I would have taken a strong interest once again. As things stand I'll probably have a cursory glance at the results on a Saturday tea time and not much more.
