What Mitrovic should be doing. He needs crosses to do that. West ham are set up to whip crosses in. We aren't He had a few quality crosses thrown at him against Villa, and especially Everton and made a pigs ear of trying to finish them. I've got a suspicion he closes his eyes when he's about to head the ball.
-
Think the mackems will win 2-0. Villa are even worse than they are.

Club policy means we'll never have a proper team and it'll always be a case of individuals playing to get moves to more ambitious clubs. That's what happens when your transfer policy is based on signing young Foreign players with the promise that they'll be shipped on to bigger clubs (at a nice profit to NUFC) should they be a success here. You can never build proper team spirit based on that formula and I genuinely believe that's why we go on these ridiculous losing runs and don't bother turning up for the Derby games these days, put simply there's no motivation and "leaders" are no longer allowed in the dressing room. In Thauvins case, best case scenario for him is he's a hit here and in a couple of years ends up at Arsenal, Man Utd etc, worst case he goes back to one of the bigger clubs in France if it doesn't work out. He's probably not too bothered either way.
-
We won't. 3/4 wins maximum if there's no new players brought in or a change in manager.
-
Hope he gets a bit more match time this year. We've looked desperately short in attacking areas lately.
-
Cheers Dave I'll leave it at that.

The jokes on you here. Even more so that you keep digging yourself into a bigger hole. If you think I would just stick a mates name up on here you're dafter than I first gave you credit for. Ps check my profile on here for my age.

Aye best of luck to him. Never good enough for the PL but he'll do a decent job for Wolves.

My problem with him is mainly his lack of being able to pass more than five yards not physicality As per my previous answer, that's utter bullshit. I've seen him play multiple, pinpoint 40-yarders out of midfield game after game for Ajax. Your point stretches credulity even at SJP, though I can see where you're coming from, but in Anita we've procured, and ruined, yet another player. How that reflects poorly on Anita himself I know not. He was up against p*ss poor opponents when he played for Ajax. They walk through most of their games having enjoyed 70-75% possession of the ball. Doesn't make him good enough to play in the Premier league and he's been found wanting at a higher level. Aye, Feyenoord and PSV would never get near the EPL with luminaries like ourselves, villa, bournemouth and the mackems barring the way. Found wanting? No. Played out of position, played fleetingly, Pardewed - yes. If he were playing in an EPL team that wasn't the epitome of embarrassment then people would be singing a different song. Your average Eredivisie team (PSV and Ajax aside) would be League 1 standard. That's why they always go out of Europe early on. One of them even went out to a Scottish team last year (Aberdeen) and it's only ranked as Europes 9th strongest league these days. Believe me it's dross and being a good player there proves nothing, as we have found out. Feyenoord, FC Twente and Alkmaar in League One? Utter guff, as is all of your post, apart from correctly looking up the NL UEFA coefficient. How are PSV getting on in the Champions League, having lost three of their best players? They're not above the eliminated ManUre by any chance?! Now you're really starting to show yourself up. Twente are 2nd from bottom in the league and could be relegated due to the financial crises they find themselves in and AZ are just a bottom half side nowadays. Be honest you'd struggle to name a single player from either team. Just go back the last few years and see how many clubs they've still had representing them in Europe after Xmas. You're totally clueless. Clueless is an apt adjective to anyone who fails to understand that (more-or-less) outside the 'big three' in NL, the rest of the Eredivise and roughly half of the Eerste Divisie is pretty fluid. However, I can't be that clueless having done live ESPN commentary for the top two Dutch leagues for a season when my other half was working in Hoofddorp. I'll take ESPN's recommendation and the twice-weekly cheque over your ill-informed opinions if that's OK. Have you ever seen a game of football in The Netherlands?! Do tell. I had a season ticket at PSV Eindhoven from 2005-2012 if that helps. It would if I believed you. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/dutch-supporters-boost-sir-bobbys-1471152 Keep digging. It's missing the parts where you identify as 'James Kidd' and that you had a season ticket for seven years. Keep trying. Aye no doubt they've got loads of PSV season ticket holders living in Wallsend who are the same age as me. Also the fact I directed you to that link in a matter of seconds should be a dead giveaway. I've made a mug of you, time to let it go now.

Actually don't mind Ajax. Used to have some great banter with them at Schiphol Airport. I remember one time flying back to Newcastle and Ajax had just beaten PSV 5-1 in Eindhoven and one of them noticed my PSV shirt (away one I refused to wear the home one for obvious reasons) and I've never taken stick like it in my life. They were pulling me out of the security queue to laugh at me and everything. All good natured banter though. Feyenoord on the other hand........

9 for me. Even if we buy in January I don't trust the recruitment staff to bring in the right players needed or McClaren to get anything out of them.
-
Colback actually has more goals and assists to his name than Anita and he hasn't been here anywhere near as long. And he's completely out of his depth as well. Like I said both need replacing quickly if we're to stand any chance of stopping up.
-
Reads the game very well, to the point you rarely have to see him off his feet diving into tackles because he's already there. Presses the opposition very well and doesn't just run around after the ball. And the tidiness you detest is a job which someone has to do to tick over the play from the back and he's good at it. You might want to forget about Colback but you just can't. A lot of the time Anita is actually looking to cover out for his shitness or lack of positional sense. Tiote isn't intelligent enough on the football pitch to look after Colback. Be very surprised if that doesn't become glaringly obvious in the upcoming games if those two are selected which they most likely will be. He's hopeless man. Been here ages and you can count on one hand the amount of good games he's had in that time. Total non entity of a player. Doesn't score goals, doesn't create goals, not a great tackler and more often than not you struggle to realise he's actually on the pitch which should never be the case for a player who plays in such a prominent position. We need a completely new central midfield and we need it quickly otherwise we are down.
-
The fact that he believes we're playing well worries me. We've stunk the place out for 15/16 of his 20 games in charge.
-
Bad crack that like. Everyone should get home safely after going to watch the football. Hope he makes a quick recovery.
-
1000's didn't renew their season tickets. That's the reason they don't do the members only sales for the big games anymore because they know there's no longer enough fans to take up the seats.
-
Nailed on mackem win tonight to round off a truly shocking 2015 for NUFC.
-
Might as well play him for a few games and see what happens.
-
Except Colback isn't as good at tackling is 200% left footed and always liable to make a ridiculous error. Anita offers more in every aspect of his play. Albeit not much more. Colback has a better goal scoring record. I think they're both out of their depth as Premier League footballers. They prove that week in week out.

Totally devastated by the news. My dad would often take me down to Castle Maiden to watch the players train in the mid 90's and obviously Keegan and Terry Mac were great with the fans as were just about all our players (Venison used to like to get a flyer straight after training!) but Pavel was by far the best. He literally wouldn't leave until he'd signed autographs for everyone who wanted one, bearing in mind there was sometimes a few thousand people there, he would often still be there a good hour or so after all the other players had gone but he simply wouldn't go home until he'd signed autographs and stood for pictures with every single person who wanted one. Taking my rose tinted glasses off, aye he probably wasn't one of the best players we've ever had but I'd say he was the best bloke we've ever had play for us. RIP Pavel.
