  1. Bollocks. It's people like you who turn forums like this into one-dimensional echo chambers. We've got people claiming the media are biased and not representing the true fan at the very same time I just watched Look North vox-boxing a fan coming out of the SOL and giving Ashley both barrells, summing up in a few words what the issue is - "nothing will change until Ashley is gone" or words to that effect. You've clearly not read a single one of my posts, otherwise you wouldn't be claiming I write drivel - it won't take anyone long to figure out my posts are pretty much consistent with what that fan said. But I'll tell you what, "Wallsend Mag", I'd certainly prefer to have a drink with an open minded mackem than 10 Mags who think like you - where anyone who posts anything slightly off message is "clearly a Mackem troll". I'd tell you to f*** right off for that blatant insult, if I didn't think that's exactly the reaction you were probably hoping for. You're a Mackem troll. End of. You sign up the day after you beat us and then post all this rubbish to try and get a bite. Near enough 100 posts in your first 24 hours? Thank god the schools are back next week.
  2. Mako is clearly a Mackem troll. Registers the day after they beat us and then proceeds to write 87 posts of utter drivel that only a thick red and whiter could. Best ignored and he'll go away.
  3. They've beaten us 4 times in a row man and it hasn't shook the apathy out of the crowd. Nobody cares anymore. Go to the next home game and you'll see that for yourself.
  4. Like has been said a few posts up, 6 pages in the pre match thread in what used to be the most exciting, nerve jangling game of the season says it all. I think a lot of people are at the past caring stage now and it'll take more than the bi annual 2 bald men fighting over a comb derby to stir the passions up.
  5. It’s unbelievable what this regime have done to our fans isn’t it? Totally saddening and sickening. The fat w***** has literally squeezed the passion out of the majority of us. I usually receive about 20 messages now either by text or on Sleazebook asking for spares and I only had a few this time around which says it all. The build-up has been the most low-key I have ever know. Can't believe it's come to this where I can't even be arsed with the derby. In the past I've finished with girlfriends because they've moaned on that I spent too much time and money following NUFC, I even quit a good job because they wouldn't give me time off to go to Roma away. Been all over Europe watching them (bumped into your good self many times in the process) and now I just can't be bothered with it all as when you sit down and think about it, it's just a pointless excercise supporting them now. I'm not bothered about winning trophies, no Newcastle fan should be, but the fact the club admit that they don't even try to compete (Leicester away being the most recent example) and that mid table in the league with a nice profit is the ultimate goal makes the whole thing a waste of time. It's uncompetitive and in all honesty totally boring. No wonder the crowd just sit in complete silence at home games these days because win, lose or draw in the grand scheme of things it makes no difference so there's nowt to shout about. It won't change until the fat parasite is gone but that's going to take years and by then it'll be too late.
  6. Never felt so underwhelmed going into the derby in over 30 years of following NUFC. We can barely put a team out and the outcome is inevitable. We'll lose again and I'll be over it within half an hour, in years gone by it took me a week to get a defeat to them out my system. Think it's time I called it a day in all honesty. If I can't get myself up for this one it's probably time to start asking why I even bother anymore. Just no emotional attachment to it all whatsoever.
  7. Tony Cunningham was the first black player I can remember seeing play for us but because I was so young I didn't really notice any racial abuse directed at him. A bit later than that I remember being at Franz Carrs home debut (v Watford I think) in 1991 and I was in the Labour club with my dad and a group of lads were singing "He's black, he's broon, he plays for the Toon, Franz Carr, Franz Carr" and nobody even battered an eyelid. Even later than that I remember I little ditty about Kieron Dyer which thankfully didn't really get off the ground except for a few people at away games which went "We've got Kieron Dyer he's a little flyer, from Ipswich Town, he's slightly brown". No doubt casual racism still exists but that's the last time I heard a players skin colour mentioned in a song about them.
  8. Fair play to the Rangers fans mind. They've been right on his back ever since he got involved with them. Compare and contrast to our pathetic fanbase.
  9. Have you only watched NUFC for 8 weeks or what? Ridiculous statement. Can I have your username and password to this (secret?) database that contains these thoughts about who is interested in who? Tiote has been garbage this season but there really is no need to rewrite history. Oh great, Tiotefan99 returns. He's s***, he's been utterly useless for the best part of 3 seasons and has hopefully played his last game in the Premier League. History suggests had any manager shown genuine interest in him he'd be long gone. One day I sincerely hope you retrieve the username and password to common sense. The majority of teams in this league would still probably buy him. He is an player established in England and is seemingly decently rated everywhere outside of this forum. The top sides will definitely not have interest, but looking at some of the poorer players and money that is cycled throughout the lower Premiership sides, do people really think he cannot be bought for 5 million or more? You have to remember that this forum was probably the only place Vernon Anita was rated as well.
  10. Tbf if you are looking for a goal Rivière is the last player you should be thinking of bringing on as he offers zero attacking threat and has no goalscoring instinct whatsoever.
  11. 2nd half is irrelevant after a 1st half performance like that. Carvers record now reads P12 W2 D3 L7 Thankfully the bottom 3 keep losing every week or it could have been a nervous end to the season.

    John Carver

Never been one to try to blame the crowd but I'm at the stage now where it's time to admit they are a big part of the problem. Look at what the Rangers fans did. Stayed away in their 1,000's, stopped buying merchandise, some even broke into the stadium and eventually they got the result they wanted. Compare that with our lot. Still fill the ground, buy the replica shirts and just sit there in silence and take all the sh*t Ashley throws at them. Rename the ground, aye no problem Only compete for the first half of the season, that's fine. Don't bother with the cups, well yes 10th place is much more important Continuously sell off the best players, that balance sheet trophy is vital Employ totally out of their depth managers, well he is a Geordie you know! Suppose some people deserve what they get. Shame for the others though.
  13. Of course he can/will He'll class today as another "free" game so it doesn't really count.
  14. I know people who have stopped going altogether because of the membership scheme. Their stance is if I'm not good enough to buy away tickets anymore or tickets against the Mackems I'm not going to turn up and fill the empty seats for the likes of Stoke. Tbf that'll also be me from next season,
  15. Amazingly there's people there agreeing with the clubs stance saying it's for security reasons which is a load of b0ll0cks! The membership scheme was put in place simply to make the club more money by fleecing fans into paying for a membership to give them access to the biggest fixtures. If you buy a ticket on general sale they still take all your details so this safely/security excuse is a load of rubbish. Ironically, they're expecting a few thousand empty seats tomorrow, same as against Man Utd the other week so this members only policy has cost them around 5,000 empty seats or around 200 grand in 2 home games.

    John Carver

Hold on a minute Carver was perfectly happy with the squad in January and said he didn't need any new players brought in and now he says it was a huge error of judgement not to strengthen the squad. Sorry like but any supporter could have told them that selling Mbiwa and Santon and not replacing them was asking for trouble. The fact that Ashley, Charnley and Carver couldn't see that between the 3 of them is criminal. Sad thing is this promise of massive investment in the squad (which won't happen) will probably be enough to persuade a few thousand to go out and buy season tickets.
  17. It's a complete farce. A Premier League club, Premier League as in the richest league in the world, going into it's next 3 games with only one available centre half and could be none if Williamson gets injured or sent off in that time. There's better organisation and planning in your average Sunday League team. A complete shambles thanks to the fat mans penny pinching.
  18. Appeal rejected. Serves a 3 match ban.

    John Carver

Which is exactly the reason he'll get the job on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
  20. I've got a Sky sports subscription which means I can watch it live and I'm still not sure I will. It's on BT.
  21. Aye but Carver says that Ashley is sitting there kicking every ball so clearly he gives a f***. It does feel like he's personally kicking my balls of every minute of Carverball I watch to be fair. His "style" of football is pretty painful to watch like. Probably more painful than a kick in the nads. The lad who sits next to me walked out after half an hour on Saturday cos he just couldn't stand watching it any more.
  22. Aye but Carver says that Ashley is sitting there kicking every ball so clearly he gives a f***.
  23. I actually agree on this tbh. Last match there was four Man United fan's sat in front of me who struggle to control themselves as each goal went in. Stewards chucked them out. If it was open to all there would be thousands tonight. It was members only last season and clearly it didn't prevent away fans being in home sections as your experience shows. They could have sold tickets only to supporters with a purchase history as other clubs do for their bigger games. The membership scheme has always been about the club making more money off the back of declining season ticket sales. At first they only sold away tickets to people with a membership and it's slowly crept into the bigger home games as well. Hope there's 1000's of empty seats tonight.
