  1. He'd be mad to even consider leaving us considering what is about to happen here. You wouldn't get an atmosphere anywhere else in Europe to perform in and he's already playing in the best league in the world. No chance he gives that up to go and play in the French League at PSG.
  2. He was definitely our weakest player last night. Just looks so slow and lethargic to me. On the plus side we scored 3 goals with our Centre forward not having a particularly good game so that's a good sign.
  3. You'd be able to pass it on no problem. Seen tickets changing hands yesterday for double face value, and whilst I'm totally against selling your ticket for anymore than FV it just shows the levels of demand. And that's for a team in the relegation zone. Imagine what demanding be like when we actually start challenging! 60,000 would be nowhere near enough.
  4. Got to say the atmosphere since the takeover has been on another level. It's absolutely deafening these days, every single home game. Best in the country by a mile now, and I'd go as far to say best in Europe. I'm a bit of a groundhopper, and I've done all the big grounds in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Holland and nothing comes close to what we have right now. The intensity of our crowd now is just awesome. It must be amazing for our players to play in an atmosphere like that.
  5. The one blot on an otherwise perfect night. First time I've seen him live in the flesh (wasn't at the Watford or Leeds games) and he looks like a dreadful footballer. Major lack of mobility for a Premier League footballer.
  6. 6. We've sorted out the defence which was the priority (assuming Burn comes in) but I still think we look a bit light up the other end. Not sure there's enough goals in that team. Good window overall though.
  7. I can totally understand their levels of bitterness towards us. It was expected after the takeover and they haven't disappointed. However look at it from their perspective. Most of the posters over there are in their 40s, 50s, 60s and even older. They are never going to experience a time where they will be anywhere near as good as we are. They'll never get close to us again in their lifetimes. They know this and that's the sort of thing that would just eat away at you. It's broken a lot of them
  8. Same here. Would rather be hated than be one of those non entity clubs that nobody gives a toss about like Southampton, Burnley etc.
  9. If Rafa gets the sack I'd immediately sack Howe and bring him in. He's had a nightmare at Everton, but in truth it was never going to work out there for him. It was a match made in hell. He just seemed to be a nice fit here. Improved us massively whilst turning in a profit in the transfer market. Bring him in and give him some proper backing. There's nobody out there, available or who would take the job, who would be a better option than him.
  10. Disgrace as a player. Disgrace as a captain.
  11. Realistically we're gone. This squad and this manager haven't got it in them to get us out of it. Those are the cold, hard facts.
  12. Said when he took the job he took a far better Bournemouth team down than what we have here. Seems a decent enough bloke but increasingly doesn't look up to the job. Performances have generally been woeful. Hasn't given us any sort of new manager bounce in the way Gerrard did at Villa for example. He's had some winnable games as well, Brentford, Norwich, Burnley and Watford all at home. 6 points from those 4 games is nowhere near good enough.
  13. Any more of that and Moyes will start to lose the legendary status he has for himself in the North East!
  14. Face like a welders bench bless her.

That was his sales pitch. Train times much quicker due to Newcastle being on the East Coast Main Line.

He was going to sign for Middlesbrough, who were a league above us at the time until Keegan managed to convince him that Newcastle was closer to London than Middlesbrough is.
  17. They did. Technically they could still open 1 more block but instead they seem to be keeping it completely empty for segregation purposes which seems a bit OTT.

Seems like we're wasting our time with this one but can't knock the ambition of the owners.
  19. Another 600 tickets on sale for anyone who couldn't get one.
  20. Absolutely incredible signing for us, assuming it goes through of course.
  21. Nah they just move the barrier along in the concourse. Did it v Oxford in the Cup a couple of years ago.
  22. Not sure why they are leaving 2 blocks totally empty. That's probably 1,200 seats which is a decent amount of cash for Cambridge. Cambridge have already said they have approx 200 tickets remaining from their 4,920 allocation and won't be requesting any more. Just seems a bit silly.
  23. Cambridge have tweeted that they won't be requesting any more tickets so there's no reason why they can't put the last 2 blocks on sale other than incompetence. I really hope these new owners sort the ticket office and its staff out because they are useless.
