It's mental to compare cabellas season of stunted starts and wank coaching to a full four years of unregulated anonymity from obertan. That's not necessarily saying that cabellas done a lot it's just outlandish to say he's done far more.
The manager has changed and seems like a decent human being with a modicum of success behind him. Nothing has changed at board level as far as I can see.
His bulletproof nature under poor English managers has endeared him little to some. I think he's steady enough but people talk as if he's pivotal to a midfield. Seems to be the case a lot elsewhere.
We've let far better players go for fuck all though so it's hardly about getting decent fees. There are surely championship clubs that would be dying to take the likes of Williamson off our hands based on his current status alone. I can only assume they rate him to some degree. We can happily jettison santon but not Obertan? It's weird.
Obertan runs faster = more effort = passion. He is consistently utter shit Looks like he's trying to work out whether he's looking at his own feet or not on shrooms when on the ball and rarely has much impact beyond running at tired legs.
Tore it up in the Greek top flight by all accounts. Probs equivalent standard to the German 2nd but the lad has demonstrated some of the undoubted potential that he hasn't had to he time to show imo.
