I think we are tbh. Now that said, we're not doing it by throwing the owners cash at it (he just won't) but we are a big club and our means (even if only marginally exploited) are better than most but it will be a long process. There isn't a magic bullet solution, Spurs just spent £90 Million and they're below us, now they may very well end up above us but they fucking should do given the spend. As for the regime, couldn't care less who owns us or what they do/say, so long as we get better on the pitch and this season we are appearing to do just that. The current league table would suggest our "average" manager, which he is along with most others, is doing OK (or above average) enjoy it while it lasts. It could be a step in the right direction (the first of many hopefully) or it could be another peak before a trough, there's no scientific formula for "success". 'appearing just to do that'? Our ownership have time and again shafted the fans. I agree its improving but's that's some pretty short term retrospect based on four admittedly brilliant results.

Yup. There's been improvement for sure. just wish he'd think outside the box a bit on the 2nd half stuff...but that's his mentality I suppose.

Each 2nd half he is riding luck completely; Spurs game especially. It's not about 'dominating' at all and I'm pleased with the way he's got us playing going forward, finally utilising soe of the talent we have available and getting the best out of players such as Tiote. He needs to pack in this backs to the wall shit though because that's where the inconsistency in results comes from imo.

The players we have such as grafters like gouff and remy are doing him massive favours. Let the bloke buy his own and we'd be dross.

I would say AVB saying he doesn't care what Pardew reckons, and did his team look tired in the 2nd half, obviously not. Frankly Pardew is still looking to excuse last seasons hideous football and sees the Europa League as his main excuse. If he said nothing this season about it, it wouldn't have been an issue but he just cant help trying to deflect the blame for his own shortfalls. I'll say it again, what the hell does the Europa League have do with playing the senseless hit and hope rubbish we watched last year. Nothing that's what and rather than accept that the reason we were so poor was Pardew woeful tactics and team selections, Pardew looks to something else. Pardew you values a gritty, dig your heels in performance than one of technical attacking prowess. Grafters like Gouff (albeit talented) and Jonas, Willo et al. are his cup of tea so when we win through that way, he is more likely to carry on in the same vein. I do give him credit for the way we play when we do impose ourselves on teams as we have in spells this season, but rarely does he strike a blance between attack and defense in the same game.

Depressing when you think that the likes of Gosling, Obertan and Shola can just waltz into the fray and almost any random point regardless of anonymity; yet whether Hatem Ben Arfa is something that really bakes our master tactician's noodle

You're akin to baghead if you reckon last year was anything other than jenkem all over last year like. This year their has been improvement for sure; but that's only relative the season past so far. Until we're consistently playing like yesterday then its as up in the air as ever.
