Nature of football... as much as he did for us won't matter, he left after not agreeing a deal to stay said a few comments about now playing with world class players. I am more than sure he will be boo'd.
Agreed. Still seems daft like. I'm sure Mike Willaimson is gutted now that demba has pissed all over his international-playing-dream chips.
The relative quality of him, Colo (particularly) and the goals of Nolan were a big factor. He looked out of place for the better in the championship. Certainly wasn't Alan Smith and Nicky Butt as media oulets would tediousy convey.
I think its as simple as Cisse and Ba scoring brilliantly last season combined with the novelty value of the like of Ben Arfa and Cabaye tearing it up in the league; all the time brilliantly masking the tactical frailties of this gonad.
I get the criticisms of Jonas but I do think some views are harsh. He was one of the main reasons we looked a cut above in the championship and despite a dip in form over the last 12 months is as commited as anybody. He's no Iniesta and at the same time at his best he isnt/wasnt half as limited as people make out. People who are waxical lyrical about the club needing to get rid whilst hailing the likes of Ryan Taylor as a fantastic squad player (I agree to extent fwiw) need to give their heads a shake. Its possible he's reaching his autumn years but he still has a role to play at this club.
Great result. Mixed feelings and not entirely happy though. A better team would take advantage of such gifted dominance against. Cant believe how stark a contrast those two halves were
