I'm surprised Xavi hasn't been given the award over the past few seasons, or Pirlo even would have been a better choice last year. Yaya should be considered as well. Wanted to post this myself, if you look back at the year Totti won it and the sort of players he was up against, its ridiculous how many good players are up for it every year. I love Zlatan though and it just shows how big an acheivement it is really that he beat players like Xavi and Pirlo to it.

Racism is wrong and its terrible its still around, but... why applaud? It was terrible that it happened but why applaud him for receiving abuse. He acted up as anybody would given the situation but i dont get what we are applauding. Just ask yourself, how would you answer if someone who didnt know what happened said "Why are you clapping him?". Answering "he was racially abused" just makes it feel weird.

To be honest, im guessing they have a design already sorted out, or will have by the time it comes to the fans submitting ideas, and they are assuming one fan submission will look similar enough to just say "yep, this one has been chosen" and get credit for listening to fans. If you think about it, say a couple of thousand submit ideas, odds are one or two will have the same idea as the puma guys. This, i tend to split my money between Newcastle and Milan shirts (though last year i got both). I refuse to spend money on shirts with those exploiters on.
