Aye, it was up at West Allotment a few month ago. Called him a few names and said he was the worst manager he'd played for.

Best shout I heard during the game on sunday when Taylor failed to connect with the corner, and it died down perfectly quiet in the East Stand; "IT ISNT GOING TO WORK MAN PARDEW! IT HASNT WORKED ALL SEASON, WHY WOULD IT WORK AGAINST ONE OF THE BEST DEFENCES IN THE LEAGUE?!? TAKE A FUCKING HINT!"
-
Yep, to echo what people have said, its just accepting that it could have been worse. I'd rather have Unicef on the front of the shirt and the stadium not have any branding, and us be making record revenues! However, could be worse. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that

...whilst making Wonga look like the good guys he's not daft like. Its mental really; Make one decision that annoys the fans... bring in a sponsor who annoys the fans... let the sponsor stop the first decision... leads to both being seen as ok as the 2nd decision is then more justified... Its like he is a martyr for his own success!

Amazing comments comparing us to Spurs and mackems to Arsenal later in that thread... Yep, Sunderland...that bastian of wealth and class up north marra....

As my mate said (Stockport fan) when he was hired; "forget whether he is fascist or too strict...he is a league 1 manager with little to no tactical acumen, probably more worrying for them"

Baring in mind we sold for twice as much, how would people react to signing him back for transfer record? Id rather get him as cheap as possible obviously, but wouldnt it be nice to have him clear the blot that Owen casts over this club
-
Instantly followed. An even more public domain for him to air his grievances.
-
Madrid-bound if that happens. I know, but i just hope he follows his heart rather than his brain and all the sense in the world!

As soon as he talked about depression, i knew it would be under Souness. He played so few games and Given was out of form. Was it under Souness he let the Xabi Alonso goal in too? I imagine it just killed his confidence. I know it probably happens everywhere, but do we not have a hired sports psychologist at the club to help with this? I would be very surprise if over a decade, it was just Harps and Yo Cabs who have suffered with this.

Don't know if its transfer news per se, but Berlusconi has said Allegri is off to Roma at end of the season. As much as i dislike Allegri, he has put a hell of a run together since November. Also likely to take Nocerino with him who (somewhat randomly) is one of my favorite players. On a completely unrelated note, Ancelotti has been rumored to be leaving PSG...I can dream....

He's played as the furthest forward of a midfield three in our last few games, although not in the mangled 442 against QPR. Surely, next season, depending on player sales/purchases, Sissoko just fills in for Jonas's role in that three? Why hasn't the manager tried that though, if it's so obvious? Because Sissoko has been injured, or played on the right wing? I'm not sure why I'm meant to answer that question, like. I'm not defending his inability to see that option, more providing an example how we can best utilise our midfielders, which was your question. Sissoko's great first couple of games as the furthest forward had obviously made Pardew play him there repeatedly, even though it was clear it was no longer working. Cabs looked good in the middle of the 3 in the 4-2-3-1 last season. When he is further withdrawn, he gets lost. As good as he is, he is no Pirlo/Montolivo...he needs to dictate the game from further up, and let players like Tiote/Sissoko/Jonas fill the gap between defence and midfield.
-
If we lose both Cabaye and Ben Arfa, that is all of our creativity gone. Id say that would allow us to completely change our style. Fuck it, sign Mcmanaman, Mcarthy, Mcarthur, Maloney from Wigan.... In all seriousness though, not that the players leaving are the problem, but lets just get a team of players who can pass it around for fun. If we add a good defence to it, as well as a good striker, then we can have a cheap but nice playing squad. Jonas going would free up alot of wages for a squad player. Tiote going would just be good transfer fee.

Ashley put the club up for sale as a result of the protests. The only buyers seemed to be a Nigerian, a bald lunatic and someone who couldn't actually afford it. Was it though? or was it just to put fans at ease knowing nobody would want to buy? He would sell it now if the price was right and he made his money back. Seriously man, if we have another "boycoutt" banner...
-
I wouldn't be so against Pardew, if the worst that would happen under him is mediocrity, id be willing to give him half a season more. This year we came perilously close to relegation and I just dont think we can afford it. Bring in Jol
-
Man Utd were kind of in a shit position really when the fans were unhappy. They wanted to protest but if fans said "im not going anymore" there will be literally 100's waiting to take their seat and still sell out. Hence they have FC United and green and gold scarves... a terrible fruitless protest! Look at the massive shit storm after Keegan, the main aim was to get Ashley to sell...who is our chairman 5 years later? If we continually got 30,000 crowds in this division, regardless of pointscoring with other fans about "how loyal our support is", it would make a difference. We have already seen how crap our revenue is in our accounts compared to other teams (mackems even!). Our main income is TV and match tickets. Tell me how a march or chanting will help? itll just get us moved around the ground like the Fat Cockney Bastard chants did last time
-
Basically, the only proper form of protest is to stop going. We have seen a few reduced crowds recently, not REALLY low but enough that if continued or slightly worsened, would show a lack of confidence in the manager and hit Ashley in the wallet. Marches, banners etc. don't work. Im not THAT annoyed (well, i am but i have a season ticket) but next year im away in Sheffield so since the football is quite poor, probably wont pay the £100 total cost to go to a game. Go to a game if you think its worth it. Cue people saying im not a real fan but bollocks to you!
-
Random Gosling jokes, one set of people saying people who want pardew out are "knee jerk" then people argue against. On a related note, @GuyP89 is a better follow
-
They would make a shedload of that back in sponsors though, as well as having the anti-Messi, especially if Ronaldo leaves.
-
I agree apart from he pundited a game on 5 live where players were surrounding the referee after the whistle due to a wrong decision (real madrid v United?) and he said "if I was the manager I would encourage that". Seemed a twattish thing to say but I dunno, fits n pretty well I guess
-
Every Newcastle-related account on twitter is gash. and United For Newcastle (@UtdForNewcastle) kept claiming that staying up was not in our own hands before the Wigan game on tuesday...
-
Equally deserving of punishment, is the guy in the home end who tried to throw it back, knowing it would never happen, and it landing a few rows up...
-
I dunno, isn't it fairly common for clubs to send players away for specialist treatment? It's a common theme that whenever HBA is injured he goes there no matter what type of injury. I don't blame him because with all the muscle troubles we've been having this season I sure as hell wouldn't be trusting us to bring me back from a muscle injury. I wouldnt trust our medical staff over a splinter
